back from a 10 day stay at Millennium and the location could not have been better. we only used a taxi once to go to Nicky's handlebar and back because it was pouring. The check in was okay at least our bags were taken to the room not like the last hotel we stayed in. there was no welcome drink on arrival (which i needed) but english spoken was good and easy enought to understand. We had trouble with our safe and this was quickly attended to so great service. We stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the carpark and bus depot but we enjoyed watching the traffic and the way they parked those buses lol. the double doors on the balcony worked a treat and we never heard a thing from the street when closed. The air con was good and cold but we did have to wipe it a few times as it dripped on the floor which made it slippery, I was lucky with the wifi as i used an ipad in the lobby but found it still worked in the room which saved me a lot of trips to the lobby. We found the breakfast average but one staff member did go out of her way to make my coffee each day just the way i like it. Her name was Noi so look out for her. It was great to have the shopping center so close as we could get all our snacks and alcohol cheap and not have to go far.
we found the prices of food here expensive as the speciality nights most were about 690 to 1000 baht p/p but with so many places to eat close by that wasn't a problem. one point never eat at a place called Jeffers in Jungcelon. Hubby wanted a steak but when it came it had been boiled and tasted like leather. my chicken was only meant to have cheese and mushrooms but found pineapple when half way through which i am allergic to, so we both left hungry and 700 baht poorer but pizza hut came to the rescue.
overall it was a very nice hotel and a great location. felt empty in a way saw some other guests but breakfast was never a lot of people there and pool had about 15 people maximum on a hot day. we will stay here again

My husband and I stayed here for six nights and had a fantastic stay. We stayed in the Beachside wing and had a view looking onto the main road and people coming out of the Jungceylon shopping centre. During our stay my husband got extremely ill and I was able to explore the surrounds whilst feeling very safe. It's only a five minute walk from the beach and a stone's throw from Bangla Road. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was OK. The pool area was gorgeous and sitting by drinking the cocktails as the day went by was very relaxing. During our stay we did the thai cooking class which I definitely recommend. We did the Wednesday class and there was just one other couple with two chefs and lots of attentive staff.

To be honest, we wouldn't stay in Patong again (to me it was like Surfers Paradise at it's worst) but if there was a Millennium in another part of Thailand I'd stay there!

Just back from 11 nights at the Millennium. If you're thinking of staying there, don't book anything less than the Lakeside Grand Deluxe with Pool View. Our first room was a Deluxe with a delightful view of a multi storey carpark, bus depot and self storage warehouse. All of the Deluxe rooms have dodgy views. I upgraded our room the next morning to the Pool View for an extra $AU30 per night and was so glad I did. As an added bonus, the free wifi works on the balcony of these rooms...
For some strange reason, the noise from people passing your door is very loud, as is the noise from adjoining rooms. It's as if there is no soundproofing at all. The breakfast buffet is OK; it caters for the 95% Japanese and Chinese guests that they have so it's quite limited for Western tastes. Restaurant staff were lovely, the pool area is fabulous and was never crowded (the pool at the Beachside is a tiny rectangle - not inspiring at all!) Being attached to Jungceylon is great, easy to pick up supplies from the supermarket or to shop out of the rain and/or heat.
The Holiday Inn was more kid friendly with activities organised for them, but this is a nice place to just chill by the pool.

The hotel's location is awesome as it was directly linked to the mall, close to bangla street, and a few minutes away from the beach.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english. The rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast was pretty yummy as well.
Eventhough our room was facing "Famous" the open air nightclub, the double glassed windows kept all the noise from entering the room.

Room tip: The lakeside is more fancy, while the beachside is cheaper and as good

We stayed here mid september. We were on the beachside of the hotel and the location was excellent.Welcome drinks were appreciated. We had some rainy days and it was handy to be able to pop into the Junceylon shopping centre from the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for all cultures. We had complimentary water everyday in our room as well as the usual tea and coffee facilities. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shops. Two minutes to the nightlife in Bangla Road, great for happy hour. Had issues with internet. We booked the hotel with free internet but during the check out process we were given a bill for using wifi in our room. We had paper work to prove that this was included with our stay. The manager eventually waived the amount. Please check where free wifi can be used in the hotel because this can be conflicting.

Room tip: Ask for rooms that need only one lift instead of two to get to rooms.
