“Exceeded our expectations, absolutely magnificent!”

I wasn't sure about this hotel as we paid so little (approx $70 per room per night on expedia) but we were absolutely delighted. Check in was swift, professional and we were given our rooms early and were given an upgrade to pool view rooms. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, tv with loads of channels, excellent aircon, huge bathroom, very cold fridge. My ONLY crtiticism of this hotel is that the beds are unbelievably hard, so be warned! (However this would not stop me from returning). The location is brilliant, everything is in easy walking distance. The pool area is fabulous, the gym is small but functional, kids club was awesome, free activities were great. The bars were great (happy hour runs from 330 to 830 across 3 bars), don't miss the moon bar at sunset!

Most of all the staff are unbelievable; so helpful, polite and welcoming. We loved the hotel and would most definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the Family Room for 10 nights - 2 adults and 2 girls aged 3 & 7 and we couldn't have asked for more. The room was great - suited our needs down to the wire. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. We went with 2 other families and they stayed in the Pool View twin rooms and their rooms were just as nice. The family room offers you a chance to spread out while the kids had their own space with the bunk beds. As I have a very active 3 y/o I loved the idea that there was no balcony for her to adventure out onto. The only issue I would have had is the fact that the family room was above the front bar, so at night when things heated up it tended to be noisy, but I just popped the ear plugs in and no dramas. Plus, the kids will sleep through ANYTHING!
We all thought that the breakfast was 10/10. Such a huge variety, that even though some of the dishes were rotated every 2nd day (not meaning that they were leftovers, but just a standard menu rotation), there was so much on offer you didn't necessarily eat the same thing twice!
As a family we have rated The Mercure highly and can't wait to come back in another couple of years when the kids are a little older.

I stayed at Mercure Patong for 2 nights. The location was quite ok but what disturbed me and my family the most was the noises from the hall way, especially during the night when some of the party goers came back to the hotel. The rooms' doors are not sound proof at all. The good thing of this hotel was the breakfast whichl have many selections for you to enjoy. Overall the hotel was ok pricewise but not good if you have trouble falling to sleep.

Last year I stayed at the Patong Merlin with a girlfriend - this year I took my husband and and stayed at the Mecure. He was hesitant about Phuket as he loves Bali but after staying at the Mecure he can't wait to return next year.
The service was great, the rooms were clean and fresh (the Merlin were old and dark). Really liked that they had a separate shower to the bath. We went off peak and we had no trouble with getting chairs beside the pool everyday. Staff were very friendly. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was a buffet - lots to choose from. Would receommend hotel.

Stayed at the Mercure for 8 nights. The Mercure is a great hotel in the quiter area of Patong. We only ate breakfast at the Hotel but thay had a good selection of food each morning. The Hotel service was fine, very nice pool, 7/11 right next door and some really good restaurants within a few minutes walk.
The only problem I found were the beds. I have never slept on harder beds in my life and after 8 nights I was waking up with an extremely sore back.
Having said that, I would stay there and recommend the hotel to friends.

My partner and friends stayed at the Mercure Patong for the second time in two years and not alot had changed. From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing, our room was very clean and located on the sixth level - perfect! The breakfast was as per usual, very big and kept us full until late in the afternoon. Happy hour in the bars was a fantastic pre drinks, cheap and with great entertainment - the lady who sings in the main bar is amazing, great voice and a fantastic collection of songs.

Overall, the Mercure for us was a bed, a pool and breakfast. It may not be a huge resort, but it provided everything we required in a clean environment and I cant not say a bad thing about the place. Enjoy!

I stayed here with my partner and 2 of our single male friends for a total of 8 nights. The hotel is right near The Hard Rock Cafe, and about a 10-15 min walk to Bangela Road and the big shopping centre. A 5 min walk to the beach and sitting right next door is the 7/11, which have taxis tuk tuks and a place to book all your tours for great prices right out the front! We met a fantastic taxi driver here, Mr Charlee and i advise everyone to go with him. He is fantastic and super cheap!
I only had one little problem with our toilet, it wouldnt stop flushing, but as soon as i had told reception they were up at my room in less than an hour and had fixed it in 1 min!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!
GREAT ROOMS!
HELPFUL STAFF!
