My partner & I stayed for 7 nights 27 March till 3 April. Check in at 9pm was very quick and easy. We were kindly upgraded from a deluxe room to a premium deluxe (in what is called the garden area, wing 1). This room (no 370) was probably around 4 down from the access road to Soi Bangla and although outside we could hear the doof doof music, inside with the air con running (which was very good) we could not hear a thing!!!

The bed (king), as previously mentioned throughout these reviews, was very hard but with a word to the lovely cleaning lady was remedied in no time with a topper, which made a huge difference. The room itself was cleaned beautifully every day, with free water provided and everything very well maintained. This is an older hotel so don't expect new and luxurious but this room was quite adequate for a week long stay.

The bathroom was very spacious with wonderful water pressure in the shower (we also had a bath but was not used). Be aware, you may NOT flush ANYTHING down the toilet, this means NO toilet paper!!!!! After a day or so we adjusted but it was a bit of a shock to start with, lol.

Yes, you have to pay for the in room safe but as we had done our research we were aware and happy to pay. Breakfast (which was included) was more than adequate in choice, although aside from the egg station, things were never hot (just warm). Still very nice though, with changes to the menu every day.

We used the pool in the 'garden area' and the pool guys were lovely (the pool was spotless). The pool itself is just a simple rectangle surrounded by trees which provide shade for those who wanted it. Plenty of sun lounges for all. It was nice to cool off after returning to the resort after exploring Patong. Great people watching area too, lol.

Location of the resort was fantastic, we had no need to take tuk tuks or taxis, we could walk through any of the 3 exits to get to the beach, Jungceylon shopping centre and the main Patong Rd. Soi Bangla was just a few hundred metres away with some amazing sights to be seen, fantastic people watching and more bars than you can poke a stick at :)

Overall we would return to the Patong Resort Hotel, our stay was great with no problems whatsoever and the location can not be beaten.

We only stayed for 5 nights, but had a very pleasant stay. The rooms met our requirements and were very neat and clean. The staff (especially reception) were all smiling and very friendly. The gardens are well kept and the 2 pools were sparkling. Every morning's breakfast was appetizing and thoroughly enjoyed. The location of the hotel was excellent - very close to the beach as well
as busy streets and night life.

It seems that the management policy of this hotel is to irritate the guests from the moment that they arrive. uncaring reception staff make checking in a chore.
The Safe in the room is opened with a key but you are not told on checking in, so you have to go back to reception. there is a charge of 53 baht a day for the safe key. Annoying when they could include it in the cost of the room.
The only reason to choose this hotel is it's location near to the beach, the shops and the nightlife.

Room Tip: Avoid the Standard Room.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. This time I came with my 3 grown up children and their spouses plus my 17month old grandaughter and also a close friend. We booked 4 Premium deluxe rooms and though when we arrived at 10pm to check in - the night manager was not very co-operative and although we got 4 rooms close together in the garden/pool wing - they didn't fill our requirements and nothing was done to sort out the problem. The next morning I went to the reception and the lovely ladies at the counter sorted out all the issues and within 1 hour we were all in rooms close together and with all requirements met as requested - Great work Ladies - a credit to your hotel. Rooms facing and overlooking the smaller pool are lovely and very comfortable. All the facilities were in good working order though there are 2 issues which should be addressed for a resort of this standard - The internet is not free - and fairly expensive if required for 2 weeks, and the safe is a key type and is charged for on a daily basis (about 50 Baht per day). Breakfast in the morning was comprehensive and generally of good quality - but all buffet breakfasts become a bit too much after a week or so. The location is fantastic with the beach about 2 minutes walk going one way from the hotel (out to the Beach Road)- with laundry, restaurants and massages on the way. Going another way (2 minute walk) puts you into a soi (small street) that leads to Soi Bangla (Bangla Road) where all the bars and night life is. And finally, going the other way from the hotel brings you out on the inside road (this runs parallel with the Beach road) and is about 5 minute walk to the back markets (O-Top). We found the hotel to be good - especially the location, and we will go back again next year as long as the price is not too expensive.

Had booked this hotel seeing the location. The facilities are quite good, 2 huge swimming pools where one can spend the entire day if you are feeling too lazy to walk down to the beach.
A good breakfast spread. We did order room service quite often and the food was quite good, with very prompt service.
The biggest advantage of this place is that its a stone's throw away from the nightlife of Patong, while once in the hotel, you are cut off from the noise.
We tried the Roof Top Steak House, which was fabulous. We were the only visitors that evening, and got great service.
Only complaint was that the bed was extremely springy, and getting out of the bed meant disturbing your partner.

Room Tip: Take a higher floor in the new wing.

We keep coming to Patong Resort since 2006, and find it really our home away from home. We tried the other hotels, like Mariott, Centra Ashlee (because they have fitness room), Cape Panwa hotel, but every time we missed the Patong Resort. The personnel, starting from the General Manager and including the bell boys and cleaners remember us and greet like the old friends. This time we were given the same room we had stayed three times before, because they knew we like it, though it was not requested. We were really touched. This is the great hotel with wonderful personnell (same people work for many years), the rooms are good and well -kept (they were renovated in May 2012), free wi - fi in the brerakfast area, breakfast is good and fresh, clean swimming pools, close proximity to Bangla road and all the entertainment, if are interested, short walk to the beach, lots of restaurants around to eat, including just opened Wine Connection, Sizzler, Swensen, Coffee Corner and others, very close to the hotel on the first line, overlooking the beach. We only wish they had a fitness room.
It was very pleasant stay in our favorite hotel. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Choose the Wing 1 rooms in the garden area. Rooms overlooking the Patong Tower are bigger and quiete...

Stayed for 8 nights, great location close to Bangla road. The breakfast was terrible would recommend finding your first meal elsewhere.
Stayed in an executive room, nice big room didn't have a very good view, only of a new apartment being built but hey end of the day it's a minor issue really.
Staff weren't too bad most could say hello or smile, reception staff were helpful and the manager cut a new key with no extra charge when I managed to bend it in the lock after a big night!
Overall I would stay again but in a smaller room closer to the busier pool where there is more action round the pool.
