We stayed for nearly 2 weeks at this hotel over New year for our first visit to Thailand. We were so excited about our stay at this hotel after reading "great" reviews, after our stay we just left feeling disappointed. We had read so many "great" reviews on Trip advisor about this hotel that I am now wondering if all these reviews were real.
Though the location is good we found it very noisy. The noise stopped at between 3:00am and 4:00am every morning. We thought we could handle the constant beat that you get from the music but the loud bangs every hour that seemed to come from fireworks being let off every morning until 04:00am would wake you up. Never could work out where these bangs came from as it must have been the same for all other rooms.
The breakfast was Ok but became a bit routine and mundane after a few days. But I think most hotels become like that.
The room service levels were not what we would have expected for a 4 star hotel. Somedays we would have to scratch around for soap as they never seemed to get replaced until you got down to the last little bit. We even ran out of toilet paper one day. Maybe a cost saving initiative they have.
The mini bar was another story, in summary if you have a free mini bar deal (2water, 2 beers, 2cokes), then the drinks will not be replaced if you don't drink them.
We liked the room it was spacious with a nice size balcony, but the design of the hotel blocks reminded us of the old concrete apartment blocks.
The pool was nice but just a pool, sometimes felt like a goldfish.
The rooftop lounge was great especially of an evening when the sun was setting and is definately the highlight of the hotel.
Overall - clean and modern
Stay again? No

Room Tip: We were in block 4 on level 3. We had privacy on our balcony but probably sacrifised on the noise le...

Choosing this hotel was in term of change that ended up with big disaapointment and regret. We are a frequent visitors to Phuket, we usually stay at the Millenium Hotel every time. Except for this year we decisded to try some new locations for a change. We stayed at the JW Marriott at first for 5 nights , then we move to the KEE for the rest of our stay which is 12 days. At the minute we were checking in we were greeted with a cold face. Then we've been asked to wait for 2 hours because one of the rooms is not ready as there were fixing the windows. We went for lunch and came back later but the room was still not ready. Not to mention that we asked for connected rooms as a family, and upon arrival they claimed not to have any connected rooms available. At last they gave us 2 rooms that were far from each other were mum had to sleep in a separate room that is far away from us with a really noisy location facing Bangla road ! Can u imagin that she had to stay in that noisy room for 12 days ! We tried to speak with them so many times without a result! Management were really bad, Specially a girl name "Al" with a real attitude issue ! While talking to her she was giving that face ! Not to mention her poor English ! This is the first time for us in Phuket to be treated this way!

Nevertheless, the Breakfast included however it was really not worth it, very poor selection, as we like having our BF at the hotel, this time we had to have it at Starbucks across the road !

The only good thing about the hotel is the location, even the swimming pool was small and cold !

They even charged us for ice !

Will never go back !

My husband and I stayed at the Kee for 7 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a pool view room and it was very modern and spacious. We also had a TV in our room that you could access free internet which was great. I would have upgraded to a pool access room as these looked fantastic but there were none available. The resort is in a great location if you are into the night life as you can access bangla road from the Kee very easily. It can be quite noisy at night with the fireworks and whistling from the road patrol staff but we slept well and it was not too bad. The pool is great, it is not small (as some other reviews made out) I think it is a very good size, with a lovely water fountain that lights up at night. I sunbathed around the pool most days and also walked to the beach which was only 5 mins away. We frequented the swim up pool bar every afternoon for happy hour where the fabulous staff made 2 for 1 cocktails. (Great place to meet the other guests and swap stories). We enjoyed dinner at the onsite restaurant a few nights and I highly recommend their food it was very delicious. The buffet breakfast was also very nice. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the fabulous staff, Two,Toto, Boy and Kwang they had great customer service and made the best cocktails..hehe. I do need to point out that this resort is down a new street (nice and clean) and is connected with a new plaza so gives the front entrance an indoors type feel to it. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Room Tip: Ensure you get a room close to the pool. (Pool access or pool view) There are cheaper rooms that are...

My wife and I are currently on our honeymoon and treated ourselves to the honeymoon suite in peak season. We are staying in RM 2102 and are more than disappointed to say the least. Even though the hotel is modern decor, great location, and has a friendly staff, as honeymooners it has much to be desired. Being on your honeymoon you are treated like any normal guest, so if you like to feel special - forget about it. Our two biggest complaints are with the room. We have killed at least 10 Mosquitos in our room. The shower which I'm including pictures is the biggest shocker. The shower glass door is missing and has in place a $2 plastic shower curtain that is sucked in and clings to your body as you are showering. The shower itself is grimey and could use a serious grout cleaner. Also, this particular bathroom has construction markings where all the hardware is located. The lure of this room that enticed us was the separate jaccuzzi room, however ours has a view of a concrete wall. We approached the front desk before writing any of this, but we're told they were booked solid and no apologies or offering to fix or clean anything. Basically we were brushed off. We have had many highlights in our honeymoon ....but room 2102 is not one of them!

Kee is located very centrally in Patong Beach Phuket. The hotel is one of the more up market ones in the area and is located less than 60 seconds walk from the central night life area of Patong.

The room was well appointed with a huge bed and the usual amenities. It was a little larger than a normal hotel room and included a day bed off to one side. There was Thai TV (not worth watching) and the BBC world service. Also the internet could be accessed through the room’s TV and there was a wireless key board. There was a suspicious stain on the one that I had so you may want to pack some antiseptic wipes.

One feature that I liked, but might not suit everyone was the fact that there is a window in place of the wall between the room and the en-suit. This of course means that you can see out of the shower into the room or vice versa depending on how you set the lights. I liked it but the American girl who used my shower was a bit shocked – she had her shower first.

Location! Very central, less than 2minutes walk from the beach, 60 seconds from about 3 ping pong shows and a few minutes from the bars of Phuket. This was a bit of a double edge sword though, as on one night a drunken Australian decided to wake up the entire hotel when he returned with a local girl.

On that the hotel has a policy of no guests in the rooms. Well a policy that I learned as follows… There are no prostitutes allowed in the rooms unless the guest registers them at reception for which there is B1,000 fee: they then have to be gone by the next day. However my afore mentioned white all American friend breezed in and out as she wished – luckily for me.
I find it a bit sad that the hotel exploits the poor local girls as much as everyone else, it’s the girls who do the dirty work after all.

The pool is great; there are cocktails that I didn’t try as the night life is so close; the one breakfast that I had there all week was good and there’s a roof top bar on the 5th or 6th floor that really does have magnificent views.

One thing I really liked about the Kee was the service, they really were excellent there. The staff are extremely friendly – which is good!. There are dressing gowns in the room and a second towel is provided to take on day trips to the islands.

Oh… If you didn’t know though the port where the boats leave for the island trips is about a 40minute drive from Patong.

Would definitely go back!

Room Tip: Get a room on the central quadrangle. The rooms in the west wing actually have a balcony over the s...
