“Okay stay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

We stayed here in Jan 2014. The hotel was okay. We were a family of 5. 3 older children 21, 18 and 16. The hotel is not a resort of any sort but if you want somewhere to go for a few days than we recommend this hotel. The hotel is clean and the staff are mostly friendly. The ladies in reception were not so friendly but Boi at the bar was fantastic. You have to pay $1000 baht per room as a deposit, so allow at least 30 minutes at checkout as they go and check mini bar and count the towels in your room and will not release your money back until staff have rang through to them in reception that all is okay.
Things we liked: Location, rooms - massage ladies in front of hotel.
Things we did not like- Pool area way too small - more like a lap pool or you can use the kids pool areas which is a big bigger. The sun is only until lunch time and than shade all afternoon. no sun baking also the pools were freezing, Hence we had to spend most of the time down at the beach. Towel system- sign in and out. No DVD in rooms charged $200 baht a day and also only 1 swipe key per room - extra was $200 baht if you wanted another. Also 2 of our children were in a twin room. Air conditioner did not work (had them up 3 times to fix), they said they would move them to another room. We said great and than they took us to a room with a double bed in it. We said No way!!: twin beds thanks. They were moved but only after reception ladies were very rude about it. we felt it was not our fault and we did not want our son 16 and daughter 18 sleeping in the same bed for the following 3 days. Would we stay here again - No.

My Family and I stayed at Poppas Palace for 14 nights over Xmas/New Year period. We stayed in a family room overlooking the pool with a ensuite for each bedroom. This hotel was great for our family as it was close to everything didn't need to waste money on taxis tuk-tuks to get around. The wifi was a bit patchy and everyone mentions Orange restaurant but we think the one opposite called Patong Corner was even better. We had no problems with any staff being rude just keep smiling and treat them as you would expect to be treated. Overall a hidden gem in crazy Patong hope not many people find out about it as when we go to Patong again we will definitely be staying here as well as recommending to family and friends.

We stayed for 8 nights over the Christmas holidays. The hotel location is fantastic and central to everything which is what we needed with teenage children. The reception staff were quite rude and need training in customer service which was a very disappointing start to our vacation. The breakfast staff were lovely and very friendly. The hotel pool is shaded all day and the water very cold even on a hot day. The massage place across the road is great and the Orange restaurant next to the hotel and has great food at a good price. We ate there everyday! The rooms were clean but the shower water and air conditioning was below average.

We stayed there for 2 nights, only for sleeping, before departing to Khao Sok for 3 days and after our return. Considering we did not spend any time in Phuket otherwise, this hotel was a reasonable choice for that matter. The rooms were nice, the water in the bathroom was only warm, the breakfast was good, there is a pool which we didn't use and the service was very good. The neighborhood is very unpleasant, but we don't know if it's any better in other parts of Patong.

This hotel was recommended to me by friends in Patong, Phuket.

I found the hotel lovely, not too big, very near the beach, but far enough away from Bangla Road and Paradise complex to be quiet at night.

So the rooms, rented a junior suite, plenty of space, good bed linens, very comfortable, TV with a variety of language stations, good A/C.

The hotel, two pools, although neither gets sunshine due to the location of the building, but both pools were clean and I saw them check test the chlorine/chemicals levels daily, a good sign.

Lobby, spacious, comfortable and always clean and tidy. Breakfast, not inspiring but plentiful.

Staff: Outstanding. Always smiling, happy, attentive. Note: these people work hard, tip them! They deserve it.

I stayed for 17 nights. Was treated very well by the staff, it felt like a refuge from the craziness of Patong.

I'd recommend this hotel for singles/gay couples. Reasonably priced, book the junior suite if you want space. Can't say much for the other rooms, other than peeking in while the maids were cleaning, they seemed comfortable.

Oh, pool closed at 6:00pm, this is because half the rooms face the pool and for the tranquillity of those guests. Ok for me.

Beach towels provided.

Over all great place to stay.

Travel with my ma and she is 85 yrs old, we pick the family room
for four of us, room not that big but ok. This hote'sl location is great, easy to everthings, beach/shopping/night life all within a short walk, the swimming pool is kinda small. Breakfast is ok.

The hotel is optimally priced for a holiday. rooms are spacious with plenty of sunlight. since its situated away from the main street you do get some peace and quiet if that's what you want...the market it close by and so is the beach. the staff is otherwise courteous but you better bring your own water and umbrella - or atleast have it removed from your room in advance lest the staff falsely accuses/charges you for missing items...

Room Tip: be careful of what items are placed by the housekeeping items and keep an eye out for what's tak...
