We stayed 3 nights in family room on 13-16 Oct 2012. Poppa palace was good choice and great value of money...The room are clean and the hotel got aesthetic value. Location is just perfect, very near to the beach, to bangla road, to Jungceylon. Only the minor part on the internet, no free wifi, need to buy but coverage too slow. Overall i love this hotel very much and definitely will recommend to my frens & other family members..n wud consider to stay here again...;-)

I stayed at Poppa Palace for 4 nights. The hotel is located at a central location bertween Patong beach, Junceylon shopping centre, Soi Bangla and Linda seafood. I was able to walk to all the above. The staff were also noted to helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and large and value for money. I paid 2700 baht for a family room that could comfortably accomodate 4 but up to 6.
What could be improved is the access road to the hotel, it is 1 way and dangerous for taxis to go against the traffic when sending guest back. the condition of the road was also uneven with water ponding everywhere. Also, the hotel does not provide free Wifi.
Overall I would stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Phuket.
I find this hotel perfectly located to everything in patong. I have been to patong 5 times and have always stayed here.will be staying there once again in 1 week.I always find it clean modern and small enough to be personal yet luxurious with qaulity furnishings etc . it has the best breakfast with lots to choose from and quality ingredients.It has 2 pools that are always clean and find the facilties to be great, I would definately recommend this hotel to fellow travelers,
Stayed here for 4 nights towards the end of October, the adds and brouchers are misleading first it said 24hr room service that was wrong it also said free WiFi in public areas that was also wrong, said DVD player but you have to pay $7aud for 24hrs the bar staff can hardly understand English and have no idea what your going on about, hotel tries and charges 700baht for taxi to the airport when you can get it on the st for like 550baht.. ordered cheeseburger at the bar and they forget the bacon.. all these little things add up, woudnt stay here again
We stayed there for 2 nights, not very pleasant stay there. The room big but the sand in room never clean properly. We can still feel the sand in our bed :( and never clean the swimming pool.
One thing we really don't like is their staff, very rude and shown unfriendly face. They even will purposely block ur way when you want to walk to somewhere when you're in their lobby. Their bell boy kept disturbed us and whistle when we went in and out.
One thing good is they have a good location, just that service was really sucks, disappointed and will never go back again.
Right in the heart of all, cheap, but noisy, facilities not great, restaurant average & not open much, staff were rude, couldn't get to sleep with all the noise from party goers at night, the beach was only a very short walk, same with shops, markets etc. Pool was small & foyer was tiny. Wouldn't recommend a family with young kids to stay here.
