A hotel which we have used a number of times over the past years (3rd or 4th time now). Has a great pool - which tends to stay cool due to the whole hotel surrounding it. A deluxe room or better is a must, standard rooms are on the front street wing and offer no views! Delux rooms all look over the pool area which is great. The restaurant offers good value meals and amazing Pad Thai for those who enjoy traditional Thai food, their burger are also good value and a fraction of the price of the hard Rock diagonally across the road. The location is great allowing you to walk to most places comfortably. If planning to shop and visiting other areas of Thialand before Phuket, finish your shopping prior to Phuket, prices over the last years have sored and clothing is often double the price of Bangkok and the north - traders say their rent charges are too blame! Would we use again, yes - still offeres good value for money and is a safe

Room Tip: The newer rooms are opposite the entrance, but can get noisy with the bars behind the hotel. Hotel i...

We stayed at the baumanburi in March with my husband, 2 year old and baby plus sisters family and sister in laws, in a pool access room. The kids loved it! Only problem was they wanted to be in the pool 24/7!

Room was nice, if staying here I would definitely recommend staying in one of these rooms. Although it could do with more lighting in my opinion, it was a little bit dark even with the lights on.

Breakfast had nice variety and something for even picky little eaters!

Staff were very nice and friendly, very good with the kids.

The only thing that was annoying was the sheets - baby had a cot and the sheets had big brown stains on them so I requested new ones, which had even worse stains! May BYO next time!

Apart from that it was a lovely place to stay.

Baumanburi hotel which is opposite Hard Rock Cafe and Holiday Inn is a nice quiet, hotel to stay especially when they are on low season which can go down to Baht$1200/nite with Buffet Breakfast by the poolside, which i find the spread is not bad for such a hotel. Walking distance to JunkCeylon mall, beach and away from the party noise.
Theres a wet market if you exit the North side of JunkCeylon mall, which is where MacD is. Walk across the road you will see the wet market. A lot of fresh seafood and low prices, and in the noon you will see lots of foods stalls lining by the side of the market selling local food, which is very cheap. Upstairs the wet market in the morning there is a foodcourt which i find local food and prices are very cheap too. For better fine dinning you should head to Patong beach area, there are a lot of restaurant with seafood display and nice cosy setting.

Room Tip: Baumanburi during off season. P.S.junction of Bangla. Karon beach area

We stayed at this hotel for over a week and fell in love. The place had such charactor and staff were very friendly! If I were to be picky the bathroom roof was mouldy but to be fair is it Thailand! Pool was AMAZING! and very close to Otop market (and bars :-).) I think this place is fab for friends (like the 8 of us) and familys.

After spend a day travelling, we arrived at the baumanburi. They didn't have our booking and we were annoyed. They finally gave us a room which was in another part of the hotel, after making is pay 5000baht. The room smelt terrible and was mouldy. We didnt have a pleasant night.
They then, the next day, put us in another room which was slightly better, the room still smelt, but it was better than previous.
The hotel staff were not very welcoming. But it did the job, I won't be staying there ever again.

We stayed for 3 nights at this property in June 2011. Great location - 5 min walk to the beach and Opp. Hard Rock Cafe Phuket.. very good options for eating out around the hotel..
The rooms were nice and spacious, the bathrooms were clean and the swimming pool is the highlight of the property.
Breakfast at the hotel is just about average. Same spread every day.
Overall, good place to stay if you are looking for clean, value for money and well located place to stay and would spend most of your day at the beach or outside.
