Generally this resort is great. especially the buffet breakfast. There is a general tropical feel throughout the hotel. The staff were always great! The rooms are adequate except the bed was so rock hard i never had a full nights sleep. The hotel is located at the quiter end of the beach which i enjoyed. however, the walk to Bang-La Road was quite long (about 10 minutes)

We enjoyed our stay at Graceland and we are going back in November, we went with some friends and loved it. The grounds were clean, room’s cleaned everday with fresh towel. The Breakfast was unreal, fresh and loved the fact that we could get an omelette made to order.

All the staff were frendly, and we loved been so close to everything but just far enough aways from the hussell and bussell of patong. If your going to be in Patong on a weekend make sure you go to the night markets in Phuket town. Everything is half the price then it is at patong. A guy out side Graceland took us on a day trip around Phuket and took us to the market.

Don’t forget to get a massage down the road 300Bt for a full body massage, if you walk out the front of Graceland and turn right and they are right next door. We went back about 4 times for a massage.

If you’re going to Graceland you will enjoy it, we did.

Just got back from an awesome 11 nights at Gracelands Resort. Lobby is large and impressive with an aquarium with sharks in it, grounds and both pools immaculate. We had a friendly fast check in for a deluxe room and were given a room on 4th floor in building 2. The room was very clean, not fancy... but had coffee making facilities, a shower, a bath, free in room safe, a balcony, aircon worked perfectly, hair dryer and tv. We were very comfortable and the room was serviced every day by lovely friendly staff. Breakfast was fresh, yummy and such a huge variety. From bacon and eggs, sausages, cereals, fruit, thai food, waffles, pastries, toast and croissants. If someone couldn't find something they liked to eat then they are ridiculously fussy. The only thing I can fault is that the breakfast is not kept hot. Everything is kept in chaffing dishes and although that didn't bother us I know some people do like their food hot. All the staff at gracelands we met were friendly, polite and went out of their way to be helpful. 10 minutes walk down rat u that road gets you to bangla road there are shops all the way to keep you occupied. The lift we used to get to our floor did have a damp, musty smell but that was trivial and it's not because it was dirty. Thanks Graceland for a fantastic holiday we will be back next August.

First, the positives. The 3rd floor pool was very nice. Not all the staff should be shot. That's it.
Now for the reality. On checking in, our adjoining rooms were separated by another room meaning our young children were further down the hall, A quick phone call had this sorted ouot with the room between ours being vacated in 4 hrs tome. OK. The porters then asked for another tip to move our bags. The view from our rooms was what looed like a dump with a slum on it. We then discovered that there were not enough towels (4 for 5 people). Another call had this sorted out but then we had to make that same call every time they made our room up. Occasionally we had to get our rock hard beds remade as we didn't want the sand in our beds which we had no idea where it came from. We hadn't even been to the beach.
Then the nightmare came....Whilst on an ATV trip with my brother and 2 kids, my 13 year old daughter had an accident and had to be taken to hospital for stitches etc. We rang the hotel 5 times trying to contact my wife. We told them exactly where she was sitting at the pool and they had her passport photo and told them it was an emergency as her daughter was in hospital. 3 times they hung up on us. When we evevntually got back to the hotel we found my wife sitting exactly where we told them. She had been given no message. I then went down and asked to speak to management. After telling me they tried to find her but couldn't he eventually admitted they hadn't even tried. The reason, and I quote "ALL WHITE PEOPLE LOOK THE SAME".
This lying piece of garbage should be fired, then shot, then fired again.
Somebody obviously more senior came oout and apologised and offered us a room upgrade which gave us rooms overlooking a toilet block. Believe it or not, this was an improvement.
In short STAY AWAY!!!!!!

We arrived at the hotel and immediately noticed that we had not been given the room we had booked (pool view deluxe).A move to the correct room could not be done till the following afternoon. The beds were too hard and all they could do was put a couple of blankets underneath the sheets. The WiFi was non existent in our room (the better the room the further away from the base station)The food was very pricey it was on average three times the price of food at a popular eating establishment, hence nobody was eating at the hotel although they had catered for a different theme each night. The biggest rip off was the tours, they had tacked an extra 2300 baht onto a 1000 baht trip to PhiPhi and when I questioned this with the tours desk they blatantly lied to me.We managed to alert three Aussies who had paid 9900 baht for the trip and after cancellation paid 2500 for a package of three for the same trip.(a saving of 7.400 baht) The best service was the hotel taxi with Mr James who only charged 100 baht for all trips. The bowling alley has smoke fumes from puffers and mixed with air con makes you want to throw up.This is the first time that I have not stayed at the Patong Merlin, however now that they have a new wing with a pool bar I will definitely be staying there. The only thing that we can say was really great was the Thai cooking class it was fantastic.

We just got back from a 3 week trip to Thailand and loved all our hotels, until we got to Graceland in Phuket. The hotel has potential - good location, lovely pool, good breakfast and other amenities. That's the good. Two things made our stay here less than pleasant:
1. we got a room on the side of the hotel that is across the street from a construction site and woke up staring right into a work zone. No sea view, no pool view, i am talking exposed cement beams, debris, wires. See enclosed photo to get the picture... All efforts to move were rejected.
2. the staff is totally unfriendly and does not seem to even try to address issues. Not just the room issue. Internet costs a fortune here and although the brochure says that deluxe rooms have free Internet that is a lie - you only get wi-fi at a high fee; the discussion about this was not pleasant. Other requests were equally treated with apathy and lack of courtesy.
So for me i will look for a nicer hotel next time i am in Phuket.

Well worth the long trip, in total 13 hours with a stop off in Jordan from Cyprus. we actualy did this trip in Aug 2008. The hotel was beautiful, the grounds & the swimming pools, one on the roof & one infont of the hotel. Had no problem with the food as we at only in the hotel & drank from bottled or caned drinks.. service fantastic & the quality & varaity of food, very high standards. Lovely poeple in general all over island a bit pushy to get you to buy but all very safe no fears. had a couple of good massages with my husband side by side (thought it better no to leave him alone you never know:-)).. bit of a smelly area as all there drains are under the roads & they have open grill everwhere, but you get used to that. did some nice day trip to james bond island & went on an elephant ride. hotel had a dry cleaning service, i don't know how they did the cleaning as the clothes smelt worse when they came back:-) quite funny really. all in all it was a good experiance.
