This property is well managed, the staff very efficient and courteous. We stayed six nights and were very pleased. The breakfast that was included was generous and quite good. The pool is beautiful and very large. The outdoor lounge was fun. Only complaint, the wifi signal in our room was weak, sometimes had to resort to the lobby for good signal. Overall, I highly recommend.

Disappointed with our stay. Not value for money.
Rooms are clean but lobby area is in shambles.

The hotel looks like around 10 years old .... But it is very huge in size .... the pool is spread on the ground floor and bigger than normal hotels .....

Room service is okay ..... Rooms are not very modern as the hotel is old but like I said it is very huge in size and very comfortable .... Good Value for money ....

Location is very good as it is quite close to many restaurants nearby .... Air conditioners installed were of bad quality as temperature would not go down so we were freezing in our stay ... Had to shutdown the AC from time to time :)

Breakfast was okay ....

I would recommend this hotel for one time stay only if you want a budget hotel

Room tip: Get a room on the top most floor .... view from there is very good but mind it that lift comes very late so you have to walk :)

We were meant to be picked up by the hotel driver from the airport. They didn't arrive so we made our own way to the hotel. We were then 'upgraded' to an ocean view room for the inconvenience. We couldn't open the door without banging it with our hip. We then tripped over as we entered the room because the floating wood floor was really 'floating' - it was lifting all over the room. To cap it off, they had pushed two single beds together to make a king! We asked to be moved to a better room. They agreed to move us the next day at 2pm. We got to the desk at 2pm and were told it would be 3pm. We came back at 3pm to be told it would be another half an hour. At the same time there were other guests at the front desk complaining about their rooms. One guest had no hot water for over a day. Another guest had no power! Both guests had been told numerous times that the problems were being fixed, but each had lost their patience. We eventually got into our new room. It was much better than the first, but still not up to a 4 star rating that apparently this hotel has. I would not recommend this hotel and will definitely not be going back again.

Room tip: Don't stay there.

My partner and I and another couple arrived at the Baan Laimai around 10am, we knew check in wasn't until 2pm so we didn't have high hopes that our rooms would be available yet. We did all our paper work, etc and were told ours rooms were being cleaned and would be ready at 2. So we went and grabbed lunch explored the area and returned at 2, we were told to sit and wait as it would be another 10 minutes. After sitting around watching the numerous front desk staff do what appeared to being nothing for another hour or so we started to get impatient and again asked when our rooms would be ready. By 4pm we were told that one of the rooms is ready and we can go and wait there until the other one is clean. We called down about 4:30 asking how much longer for the other room and they said that yes it was ready, so my partner and I made our way to our room only to find it still half way through being cleaned. The housekeepers told us just to wait out on the balcony, another half an hour and they were done. Once they left we checked out the room only to realize they hadn't left any towels and the toilet was still dirty. Throughout our week long stay we noticed that housekeeping regularly forgot the replace the towels and we were calling down numerous times asking for them. Everything else about the hotel was great, the location, the pool, the bar staff perfect. And the young girl at the tour desk who helped us book all our day trips was very efficient. Would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants great access to shopping, beach, restaurants and nightlife.
