“Very near to patong beach but...”
Reviewed July 3, 2012

Stayed for 3 nights with 3 friends and presentation is nice but lobby is hot and humid, no aircon, no fan, no welcome drinks although i booked online. All bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd level... rooms no view but spacious... timid people might want to consider sleeping alone in a room... I heard eerie fingernails scrapping sound at night from the washroom and thought it was renovation... till the next day my friend had problems sleeping too cos it only happens when the sun sets...toilet was a bit old and rusty. Beds are good and comfy, food was same every morning, but lucky there is a burger king beside us. street snacks and drinks within the vicinity, as well as shopping too. The only thing memorable about this hotel is the massage at the 4th level... great!!!

We stayed here in March just after our wedding in Koh Samui, we were pleased as when we arrived my husband & i got complimentary room upgrade but i have to say it was fairly poor. There was a dead cockroach in our bathroom, our shower and bath were very old and outdated the shower had no pressure and took ages to get warm and looked mouldy. The rooms had poor air conditioning circulation as alot of the time it smelt as if someone was smoking in the room but it was just coming through the aircon vents from other rooms, our friends who were staying at this resort said this all so. Our firends were walked in on when they were in their room by another couple that were given the wrong room key at reception, staff were friendly but reception staff had poor English, my brother & his partner were double charged for there room and it took the whole 4 days to get there $400 or so aussie dollars back to there bank account which they were so angry about as it should never have happened to start with. There was no lift, the pool was average and needed work, the only advantage is it is close to everything, but we would have preferred more quality and further away there was about 10 of us travelling together post wedding and no-one was satisfied with there accommodation here. However if you are travelling on a budget its ok.
I personally will never recommend any of my friends to stay here, nor stay here again, and if your trying to decide on Phuket V's Koh Samui, go to Koh Samui, or pay a bit extra and stay somewhere nicer in Phuket. Depends what your budgets is and what memories you want to have. It was average but ok. Atleast the linen was always clean.

Room Tip: you will not get a room with a view unless you ask for a suite.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Chose the superior room which was on the 2nd floor. Rooms are basic yet nice & clean. Mine had a flat screen tv, safe but no coffee/tea making facilities. Another family had the delux room which had the coffee/tea making facilities but with a box tv.
Staff were nice & accomodating. All our requests were met within 20 mins.
Breakfast was quite boring with limited stuff.
The restaurant manger was horrible. He was counting the glasses of hot water we were requesting for my toddler niece. He even commented that that the 2nd glass we requested is the last request. We didn't make a big fuss out of it anyway.

Location: very convenient.

Staffs were extremely polite.
Brkft was limited but good enough.
Just across the road is the patong beach.
Shopping area everywhere and nite markets just 1 street down.
Will go bk again..

Room Tip: Value for money ... But try to get a room that is in the new block...

I loved the location which was smack in the middle of Taweewong Road. The beach was a short hop across the road. So don't be fooled by the name Beachfront as the hotel is not located ON the beach. It was never too far a walk to all the other attractions like Bangla Road or Jungceylon Mall. There is a 24-hr Burger King at the hotel entrance, lots of restaurants along the street, plenty of stalls to get your souvenirs and tour desks aplenty as well.

Tuk-tuks are easily available at the hotel entrance but do bargain for a decent price! Be forewarned. For your reference, there is a large signboard at the east end of the beach, that states the recommended tuk-tuk prices for journeys all around Phuket.

My room on the third floor was decent though rather dimly-lit. I could not open my curtains at all as it looks out into Baan Laimai's corridors, the hotel next to Royal Palm. There are no lifts in this hotel. The bathroom was separated by a glass wall and you could look into the bedroom if you sat in the bathtub. Though I would not recommend it as the tub looked like it needed a really good scrub.

There is free WiFi throughout the hotel but apparently some rooms do not get any coverage at all. There is a small airconditioned lounge area in the lobby where you could do a bit of reading or surfing in cool comfort. I even saw some people having a meeting with their tour agent there.

The spa area on the fifth floor was cosy and a very pleasant surprise. There was a small, almost tiny pool that you could dip yourself into and a massage corner as well. After your dip, you could head to the His/Her steam rooms.

Overall, I think I got good value for my money!

Room Tip: No lifts so ask for a room on the lower floor if you don't like to climb stairs.

This hotel is fantastic for the price... Some on here are saying its good for a short stay only.. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times now - stays between 7 - 14 days...
This hotel suits those who are going to Phuket to get out an experience what its all about..
If you are looking for a hotel where you can shower, sleep, have breakie, maybe a cocktail or two in the arvo and a quick dip to cool off - this is for you!
Its not a hotel for those who wants to spend several days in hotel room overseas...
This hotel is suited to those who will be out most of the day sightseeing, beaching, shopping etc and then come back to change before heading out for dinner, drinks, more shopping etc.. and then come back to sleep before doing it all over again the next day!

The ally to which the side of the hotel backs on to has some great hair salons for the girls to get their hair washed each day, also some great massages and beauty treatments...
Walk down the ally (away from the beach) and within 3 minutes you are at O-Top Markets..
You are directly across the road from the beach and a short walk from Bangla...

The staff are always more than happy to assist you in any and every way possible...

This hotel suits single travellers, young couples who are there for a fun adventurous time and groups of fun makers who intend on being out and about most days!!!
