“Lovely but will stay elsewhere next time”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

We stayed here for five nights back in August this year (2012). Upon arrival we were surprised by the lovely staff who realised it was our honeymoon and immediately upgraded us to a higer floor and put out a lovely flower display in the room. The check in was quick and effienct and the staff were very friendly. We had a wonderful view of Patong Beach and the pool area from our balcony. Unfortunately the bed was rock solid so very little sleep was had, the rain shower did not work and the hot water came in and out. In saying this the new owners were actually in the process of renovating and upgrading the rooms during our stay so in a few months time it may be back at its peak. Great location and friendly staff. Food was fin but we found the street food out the front of the hotel to be amazing and we ate there most nights, delicious and cheap.
After seeing some of the other hotels around the area we decided that for our next visit we would prefer to stay in one of these as they were more well kept, but as previously mentioned the hotel may be better in a few months after reno's.
Pool area was lovely, nothing grand but it was just what we needed but it was quite noisy during the day as there were builders adding a new wing right next to the pool area.
Overall a pleasant stay but I would wait until renovations are complete before staying here.

They are located nearby the beach which is only walking distance.
I got the promotion room rate from Air Asia Go so it's worth the money although the building condition looks old. Choose the rooms with beach or pool view.
Their breakfast menu taste just okay but with many variety.

As with all reviews on this site you have to ask yourself have some of these so-called "guests"got anything better to do.
After reading previous reviews we were a little concerned.
Our party of three in 2 rooms arrived on 23rd July 2012 and were immediately upgraded to deluxe rooms(big enough for a family)
We found all the hotel staff to be very friendly and efficient.room serviced by 10am daily, breakfast was good with a wide choice(cereal, bacon, toast, fruit)pool area clean and quiet with a selection of snacks.to answer a previous review, have you nothing better to do than complain about onion on a sandwich.
As for various staff and language skills and poor service I think other reviewers may have people skills problems.the staff here we found to be very friendly and efficient from the front desk upwards.
We strongly recommend this hotel :-)

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms overlooking the pool are good

I stayed in this hotel for three nights with my family during our leisure trip to Phuket. This hotel is big and around 15 min. walk to Sea beach. From our sea view room at 6th floor,we were able to see swimming pool but sea was not that clear.Room wise ok not anything great.I didn't feel something very different in this room. But still ok.Has big balcony.Main problem of this hotel is its service from front desk. They are very careless and do not even want to provide services even they can give it easily. For every small thing I had to struggle.Even housekeeping and room service were not good.Overall,I didn't able to enjoy much in this hotel. My previous stay at Hilton Archedia near to Kata beach was far more better than this hotel.

Room Tip: I do not suggest this hotel for a family stay. However even then if you want to stay, try to get some...

this old tower must be renovated and his staff must be changed . the man on charge at the bar and the swimming pool during the daytime is funny like a prison'door : don't ask him anything different , he'll never do it and I think he doesn't like the foreigners ; they never bring the towels in the pool before 10:00. The service is not friendly.

Room Tip: take very high floor if however, you have no choice but to settle there, because the place is noisy

My partner and I went for our first trip to Thailand mid May via Antilog Vacations ,a famous low cost Thailand tour agent. We spent 5 nights at The Andaman beach, Patong. It's a quiet place to start with. Its big but there z not much happening you will find.

The Hotel has good location, can walk to the beach in 10-15mins. Its close to one corner of the busier patong beach stretch, which makes it easy to explore the entire stretch walking in one direction. The hotel furnishing is a bit dated, and the design of the toilet is such that there are no showers and bathtubs.

Unfortunately they had just started building a boutique hotel about 5 yards from the bottom step at the entrance. That was sort of ok because the rooms and pool were at the back of the hotel. But shortly after our arrival annual room maintenance started. We're not talking about a lick of paint here, we're talking heavy drilling. It would best be described as renovation. They were rebuilding half a dozen rooms during our stay. New kitchen units, new bathroom units and new patio doors.

The pool area was very noisy and very deserted. Be aware that the new hotel construction and room maintenance are expected to continue until October.

Keep this apart everything was clean & tidy, the sofa was maybe a bit worn, but still very nice.
Buffet breakfast was extensive, the usual offerings, as well as Asian syle noodle & rice dishes, continental cold meats, cheese & salad offerings. Plenty of choices for the kids, including waffles & pancakes, bacon & sausages, and loads of fruit.

If you are staying here, a definite must visit is 'Number 6' restaurant. It is located near Bangla Road but they have a second location up the hill overlooking Patong. They will transport you for free. The food is fabulous and so cheap!

It is actually a very good hotel, and I would advise a visit unless there is a construction that's going on, :D.

My son and I have stayed with this establishment every year for the past 3 years to Thailand. It underwent extensive renovations and we "toughed" it through with them during that time also. A large hotel like this could not afford to close down for reno's and carried these out during waking hours to not disturb too many. IT PAID OFF!!! Our room this year - from where I am writing this article now, is superb. Super deluxe with balcony on the 14th floor and stunning views of Patong Beach, mountains ocean, +++. A leisurely stroll to everything including Bangla Road night life. Staff that will bend over backward to assist.
Like everywhere you will travel, there are staff who may not smile, the occasional light that may not work or toilet paper that may run out. All of these things are easily fixed. Our room had a complete surround system including ipod deck, so on lazy nights and days we were/are able to watch some of the DVD's we purchased for A$1.00/THB50- each.
Breakfast was included and is a sensational buffet that the most difficult customer would find hard to fault.
I cannot fault this establishment - and it is my 3rd time here as I have said. I email direct to reservations and Management with my holiday wishes and they are always accommodating.
Just outside the hotel are some of the best food stalls you would ever want to order breakfast/lunch or dinner from. For A$1.20 you can partake of bacon, egg, sausage and fried rice - more than a dinner in itself. No need to attend the restaurant at the Hotel if you do not want to. Food outside in the street is wonderful and simple tables and chairs are provided. The restaurant at the Hotel and surrounding are all great, but value for money is in the street. I have not died yet...........
Excellent, excellent, excellent, what more can I say. Come and stay, you will love it here.

Room Tip: Super deluxe a little more money but higher up for spectacular views and more spacious. Great for 2...
