Once again we stayed at the Banthai it is centrally located not far from hot spots(night life)
the markets major shops they are all with in 5 to 15mins walk either way.
The renovations are pretty much finished no noise just finishing touches
the reception area is very beautiful plenty of seats and a lobby bar very nice impression when you walk in
Reception staff are very friendly and helpful

We stayed in building 2 pool C. This is the smallest of the 3 buildings but very cosy
pool c has the best Bar/pool attentant in patong probably thailand
His name is Jump/Jummper, Even after all our visits he still amazes me with his memory of names and room numbers as well as your favorite drinks
He takes pride in his job and makes sure everyone has what they need when they need it
Coco now pool manager does a very good job of making sure everything is running smoothly in all 3 pools. he takes care of his staff and makes sure all the guess have a very good time

the rooms are clean and very comfy and quiet roomy.
the breakfast is wonderfull such a great variety of foods
there is something for everyone could not complain
the staff take care and help

All the staff from the security guards house keeping reception and the breakfast/restaurant staff are very friendly and most helpfull

A very wonderfull stay plan on staying there next time
to catch up with everyone
wonderfull people

Room Tip: would recommend Building 2

Arrived just before Songkron, the Thai new year/water festival. Second time staying at the hotel. Still a very good hotel and super handy to Patong Beach. The wing rooms are decently decorated with all the standard accessories. The included breakfast is fantastic. The gym has seperate men's & women's change rooms including a sauna, spa pool, and steam room. There is so much to do on Patong & Phuket in general, and the Bamthai is located close to plenty of tour operators, just barter hard. I can't wait to go back to this hotel. Loved it. Absolutely no problems with the service. Also, the restaurant has espresso machines complimentary for breakfast.

Right beside the heart of Phuket , the bangla road in the middle of a lot of buildings lies the banthai reosrt , Its a little walk say about 50 mtrs from the road to get in the hotel ... the reception in friendly the food is good and .. We almost lost ourselves to find our room, its not that the hotel is really huge or something its just tht they way it has been built was a little confusing to me..

Wat to go for: Good thai food, friendly staff, Nice and decent rooms , Nice atmosphere,Very close to Bangla road(The happening place in Phuket).

Cons: Not many Its not actually a resort for me ,Its not a laid back peaceful resort for those of u who just want to relax, its a little towards the inside which actually makes it quite a walk for those of u who are really tired. Its more of a busy hotel. Those of you guys who wish to date some local thai girls need to pay additional amount at the reception(I dont knw wether this is followed by all the hotels in phuket or not)

But overall a good hotel to be in i especially loved the music during the evenings when most of the guests used to get to the pool and have a small party( It happend when i was there).

Room Tip: Try taking the pool view rooms for those of u who want to party and those of u who want to relax sta...

Check in prodecure smooth with helpful staff. Arrived around 7pm - straight into adjoining rooms, me and my 3 daughters. Resort has a perfect loaction across road from Patong beach. Rooms excellent, beds a little firm. My room was upgraded to corner suite with my girls next door, we could chat across balcony. Pools great but not very deep. Pool bar good. Breakfast great but need to add grilled tomatoes and normal baked beans. Egg station great but, soft boiled eggs 3 minutes are sitting there waiting for self service, usually not hot enough and too runny, I asked for 4 minutes, still too runny, asked for 5 minutes, they put the 3 minutes eggs back into hot water for a couple more minutes, still too runny - gave up and switched to omelette. The hiccup - four bottles of drinking water are provided free each day, housekeeping keep empty water bottles and re-use them for cleaning fluid, on one day this bottle was accidently left in my girls room by maid. Daughter was thirsty at night, not wanting to wake her sisters she did not switch on lights. Grabbed the "wrong bottle" and took a swig, came rushing to me in pain with burning in her throat. I took the offending bottle to reception. A bad situation that was handled extremely well by Front Office manager, Off to hospital as precaution, accommpanied by 2 Banthai staff. Doctor checked her, the fluid was luckily diluted, some medines, she was OK. Banthai looked after all expences. On return to Banthai I demanded a meeting with F/O Manager and Exec Houskeeper who both came to my room, very remorsefull and apologetic. I told them that maid not to be punished, she was very upset, the blame is the hotel housekeeping precedures, they must stop staff from re-useing the water bottles. I insisted that housekeeping dept. purchase spray bottles for these products for staff to use!!!! We were compensated in several ways, Girls also upgraded to corner suite, dinners, drinks, spa treatments. A potential very bad situation was well handled by F/O Manager.
Would I return to this hotel - Yes !
As apart from this incident it was a perfect holiday.
When I return I will check to make sure staff are provided with proper equipment and if not - I'll be talking with them again ! Onsite The Port restaurant - great food, especially our price !!!!
Spas Treatment - my girls said it was fantastic !! About a 10 minute walk north along the beach there is a beachside restaurant called Sabai Beach - Fantastic, we went there several times. In fact my girls would walk down several times during lunctime for their spring rolls !!!

Room Tip: Corner Suites are great with free wifi and CD/DVD player, 2 Tv's one in bedroom other in living...

As the title reads, Jump was brilliant and would go the extra mile just to get what we wanted! Thank you so much! Coco was also very helpful! We has lots of fun playing games, eating fresh watermelon and pineapple at the pool bar.

Rooms were a decent size, we were only there to sleep in it anyway. Beach was across the road but we never went as we had more fun at the pools.
About 5-10 mins walk from Bangla Road which is fantastic. Right outside the hotel is a pharmacy, Starbucks, Pizza Company (yuck don't eat there they replace real cheese with cream cheese sauce) and McDonalds (I'd die for a McSpicy burger right now lol). Also you will pass all the little stalls with clothes, sarongs, dvds and banana pancake portable stall! Make sure you try that! There are guards there 24 hrs a day and will salute at you as you enter, they were very friendly.

We had room service food one night and tasted quite nice but obviously more expensive than outside the hotel. No free wi-fi was offered and you had to pay 150baht for an hr and was not reusable (meaning you has to use it at once otherwise it won't work the next time)

Over all, had a great 6 nights stay here and would def come back! See you soon Patong!

Myself and wife went to Patong beach in April 2011- first time- was recommended the Banthai by Travel Agent. Banthai is magnificent- staff are helpful, friendly and attend to all your needs. Jump (thats his nick name) is a "legend" in top swim up bar area- reception staff helpful, beakfast choices great- Mr Egg Man is top dude. Going back in April again this year with our children- if anyone thinking of going in April make sure it is the time of the "water festival"- April 13th each year- you will have a ball- if you dont like getting wet walking up the street -stay inside for a few days!!!!!!.
Thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: Get a room near top pool - near "Jumps" Swim up bar- he will look after you. We got ground...

I travelled to Phuket with 3 friends from Sydney and we had the most incredible time at the Banthai resort! With 3 pools as well as a wonderful team of receptionists, waiters and bartenders, we felt like we were in heaven. Amidst the excitement and chaos of Patong, Banthai allowed us to escape the hawkers, yet we were still only walking distance away from shops, restaurants, bars, tattoo parlors, clubs, etc. The rooms we had (superior suites) were absolutely amazing, with 2 TVs, a spacious bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi bathtub, an incredibly comfy bed as well as free wifi access. In terms of price, our 5 days in Phuket was the same price as schoolies on the Gold Coast. I would choose Phuket over Surfers any day! The breakfast room is open from 6-10.30, offering a wide range of cuisine from dim sim to waffles, croissants, omelet, thai style noodles, and fresh fruit.

While you’re in Phuket, explore other beaches like Kata and Karon, and the Simon Caberet Lady Boy Show is definitely an experience you will never forget! A day trip to Koh Racha is also a MUST! The tour desk at the resort can organise all these activities for you.

So whether you're travelling on your own, with a family, friends or even as a couple, Banthai is definitely the place to check in.

Room Tip: All rooms look over one of the 3 pools so you're guaranteed a room with a view!
