My husband and I stumbled upon this Restaurant whilst looking for another and fell in love with the food & service! Great flavoured Thai food (extensive European menu too) with the friendliest of service had us going back there 3 times!!! You'd be crazy to pass up no.9 2nd Restaurant whilst in Patong :)

“Best experience while in patong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Being in patong it is hard to find a resturant without tasteless tourist food, number 9 is everything but! Slightly away from all the hustle of the main roads, this resturant was absolutely amazing low prices for such authentic food in addition to this the staff can cater to special requests! For example we love hot food and they put loads of chilli in selected dishes upon request it was just right! The prices are good and the menu is like a bible of food! The owners husband and wife are hard working and will always be happy to answer any questions about the local area. Although we ate at the 'best resturants in patong' on trip advisor this defiantly deserves the number one spot. I have been all over the world and this was one of my best dining experiences. Take a trip down and see a very relaxed place! Get ur picture taken and go on the wall of fame also they email it to you also, nice touch. I wish you the best of luck in the future and hope you have ever sucess and secure the top spot.

P.s enjoy the english teabags!!

“No 9 (2nd) Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013

We have been to Patong about 5 times now, we are always looking for new clean good quality restaurants. Our friends on holidays with us stumbled across No 9 restaurant and recommended it to us. When we went back it was full and were diverted to their other restaurant (No 9 2nd) about 100-200 metres up the road. # 143 Prabaramee road T.Patong A.Kathu. The original No 9 restaurant appearance and interior is a bit dated, but the food was good (we went back for lunch another day). When we entered No 9 (2nd) restaurant it was new, clean and the staff were friendly with good service. I managed to catch a bug over there so I was very cautious on where and what I ate, we are fussy eaters too. This place was perfect! The food was freshly cooked, clean and great priced. We ate all sorts of food, chicken satay skewers, soups, chicken stir fry and much more. We stayed at that end of Patong (B-Lay Tong & Graceland Sunset Wing for about 7 nights combined) we ate at No 9 (2nd) virtually every day when we were there. We ended meeting the owners (husband and wife) of No 9 (2nd) who were very nice. We ended up taking a photo with them and their whole team in the back kitchen which was very clean (nice too see for us fussy eaters), the photo should be up on the left hand side of the wall as you enter the restaurant. They advised us that they were pregnant just before we left which was great. We wish them all the best to their family and their business, they really deserve it. Don't take my word go and eat their I can virtually guarantee you will be pleased. When we go back we look forward eating there again.

“Number 9 (2nd) restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

When in Patong Thailand for holidays we always have at least a couple of dinner meals at the Number 9 restaurant, how ever this time (May 2013) the restaurant was closed, but with a sign pointing to a 2nd restaurant along the same road. Some 200 meters further along Prabaramee road to the south (towards Phuket town) and near Rat-U-Thit Pee road. The restaurant is run by the brother of No 9 and has a family run atmosphere. The food range is from traditional Thai to western and European. The menu's have pictures for making selection easier with prices that are very reasonable and a selection of drinks that are cold. The restaurant is clean and fresh as with the food. The dishes we had were Satay Chicken, Garlic pepper prawns, seafood soup, beef with noodles and special fried rice. I like Fish cakes and I wasn't able to find them on the menu, the head chef and owner of the establishment offered to make some especially, they were delicious and the whole plate disappeared quickly after the first taste. There are no steps leading into the restaurant so wheel chair access isn't an issue. The dining area was well lit and bright. The staff are attentive and no language barrier was encountered. The restaurant has toilet facilities. The range of different food styles and tastes is vast and a case of the eyes been to big for the stomach can easily be encountered as all dishes we had over a several visits were superb and filling. I will go back to this restaurant again as it serves the Thai experience that I am looking for with range, variety and tastes of traditional foods.
