I was disappointed to be honest, the "elephant owners" kept bossing us around to which posses to make, they made the elephants do tricks, all we wanted was toswim with the elephants you know them being there and we just taking pictures with them. They would mind their own business and that is it after all they are beautiful creatures they dont need to do any tricks. It was sad to realize how unfree they are

Some British friends that we met invited us to tri trang beach and it was the coolest experience ever! The elephants were adorable! The cost of the experience, 500 baht per person, that's it! I absolutely recommend this to everyone.... such an amazing experience!

This is a really nice calm beach located about 10 mins drive or about an hour walk from Patong.
There is a cafe with really good food at a good price at the resort. We came here looking for the elephants but found out they have moved to Paradise Beach. They only bring them out during high tide and if you call the phone number, they pick you right up and drop you back off at your hotel (we paid 300 baht). +66 83 644 3548. 700 baht per person to swim with the elephants.

The location makes Tri Trang the calmest sea beach on Phuket or at least the calmest of the 9 beaches I attended in October 2016. This allows travelers not only to relax on the grassy sea surface instead of jumping in the waves, but also to observe local sea fauna. One can also have an elephant ride here for a hefty 700 baht ($20) per person. Tri Trang had been our favourite (despite nearby construction works) until October 29 night's storm ruined the beach.
