Stayed at Ella Bed for 3 nights after 3 nights in Bangkok and 4 nights in Koh Samui. Lovely little place with clean comfortable rooms. Restaurant downstairs was really good and we throughly enjoyed the variety of breakfast options. Overall this spot was good value for money and well located, a minute from the beach and the main attractions on the strip. Would stay again!!! One funny incident though, stepped out but had to return quickly to get some medication from my room only to find a housekeeper, pants around her ankles, and on the loo....hehehe. She was mortified and I laughed it off.... but did think it was a little cheeky of her, but....I guess...if you gotta go you gotta go. :)

Room Tip: Ask for help if you have a heavy case....stairs are steep and can be a bit of a challenge.

Hi thanks for taking the timer to review.
We are deeply sorry and a bit embarrassed by the housekeeping toilet incident.
She has been spoken too, and tells us it was a one-off thing.

Thanks again for the review, see you again!

I stayed here for two weeks and was for the most part very happy with my choice.

As others have said when reviewing this place there is no lift and the stairs are steep. The lack of Wall or curtain for the bathroom area is not for the weak :-) you'll need to schedule bathroom breaks with your significant other. The A/C while new were stressed with the summer time heat of Phuket. Bed was on the hard side and small.

The staff are all wonderful. The location is very good. Smack dab in the middle of everything. The balcony sea view was very nice. The all day breakfast is awesome. Actually all the food I had during my stay was very very good.

The rooms are of adequate size with high speed Internet access included. High speed by Phuket standards. Good selection of TV channels. Shower stall spacious with plenty of hot water. Beach access is a mere minute walk.

Many shops, restaurants, convenient store, pharmacy and Thai massage all available on this street.

This is the first place that allowed me to extend my check out until 5pm without additional charge. This was greatly appreciated.

Would return. Recommended.

This little boutique hotel is a nice change from the bigger chain hotels around. Very clean and minimalist accommodations. The food is outstanding!! I had breakfast here every morning and had one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The happy hour drinks are great as well (4-8 buy one get one). The massage parlor next door is also a nice change from the others that you will come across.

ella bed is in the middle of patong just a few meters from the beach and all the night live but at the same time very quiet and relaxing.
the staff was extremely nice and allways fun to talk to. upon arrival we were welcomed with a fresh mango juice and a warm smile. the room was ready but there was a small problem with the AC. right away the owner gave us another room with no problems.
the rooms are spacious and luminous. during our stay there was also a problem with the water but again the owner mad sure to take care of everything very fast.
the breakfast all day is a wonderfull idea and enjoyed it very much cause they are all delicious.
the concept of the hotel is "under construction" and its very original and refreshing unlike the rest of the hotels in the city . would strongly recommend and go back any time.

I've been in Thailand for 1 month now and have been staying at fairly nice, more luxurious hotels and guesthouses and although Ellla Bed is no way near the priciest place I've stayed it is certainly the best so far. The rooms themselves are so unique and refreshing and just have an air of cleanliness and luxury to them. No problems what so ever with the air conditioning or wifi and the shower was incredible! large with great water pressure and could reach any temperature you might desire. Had my first steaming hot shower in Thailand in that hotel. Also a nice comfy bed which is a rare find here. The hotel itself is decorated beautifully through out with a great, high quality restaurant in the bottom. Best blue hawaii cocktail I've ever had. The location is perfect too, right in Patong where all the action is but down a quieter side street so you aren't kept awake by the commotion all night. The staff are all so friendly and so helpful. There's not 1 complaint I had about my stay here other than the fact that I unfortunately only booked it for 1 night. Staying here everytime I visit Phuket. Highly recommended.
