“Fantastic Hotel - didn't want to leave!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Highly recommend staying at this hotel. It's very slightly out of the main centre of Patong, but believe me - that's a good thing! It's still well within walking distance. The hotel is beautiful - the main lobby, rooms, infinity pool .... Everything. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The pool area is gorgeous and clean, with complimentary towels, a pool bar with happy hour. There is a gym on site and spa too ... Basically all you need. Well worth the money to stay here. There is also a shuttle bus down to the beach if you would prefer not to walk and a tour advisor where you can book trips in the main reception area.

Room Tip: We stayed in a deluxe room which was gorgeous, however there are some that look out over the pool ar...

We stayed for two nights in a seaview deluxe room. We were upgraded from city view superior room, so that was a nice gesture from hotel.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly, greeting u with a smile when they see u...this truly is what Thai hospitality shd b...they try to make small talks with you n that makes u feel so at home. ..on the last day, we took the last shuttle back at 630pm n was waiting in the lobby for our transfer to the airport. ..the staff went n got us two cold towels which was really nice of him!

The rooms were huge!! Lotsa space n I believe you can fit two roll away single bed in there! It comes with a gd size balcony with comfortable chairs for u to enjoy the sunset view. The bathroom though did not have a bathtub. ..was very big as well.

The most amazing part must be the pool area. It was very clean n well kept. Perhaps because the hotel is so new, the water is very clear..unlike some hotels, u can't really see clearly in the water. We loved the wonderful view of the sunset while relaxing by the pool! Esp the bubble jet beds...such pure bliss just lying there enjoying the bubbling bubbles. ..

We only had breakfast in the hotel. It was ok..nothing to shout about...good enough to fill u up

Like many have said...the hotel is perched right up a very steep slope. Definitely a challenge to walk up the slope esp in the day. Just a tip..halfway thru the slope. .once u see the guard house...there are flights of stairs on d right u can use to climb up to the resort...much easier that way..otherwise. .suggest u use the shuttle. ..they start at 9am with lunch break from 12 to 2pm I think (do refer to the schedule) n pick up from jungceylon at 20mins past each hour. My only grouse is that the last shuttle ends at 620pm so that is not ideal if u want to have dinner outside. Be prepared to take a tuk tuk back or u can take a slow walk back. The management should really consider extending the shuttle till 920pm or so..that would make it a perfect place to stay!

Don't forget to drop by Banzaan mkt for some really cheap seafood in d day..u buy from the mkt on d ground floor n have it cooked upstairs. In the night..u get very cheap street food at the stalls.

Dear mrsfoo, our valued guest,

Greeting from The Senses Resort and Spa, the luxury resort in Patong Phuket!

We are delighted that you loved our spacious room, staff service and almost all facilities that the resort provide such as the sea view pool with bubble jet and the quality and variety of breakfast. As you suggest, we have shortcut to the lobby and our security can lead you the direction. Moreover, we are thankful of the shuttle bus schedule advice and we will seriously discuss with our team. As of now, we are concerned of travelling at the nighttime, so we would suggest for the private taxi for the security reason. We hope to be better of your service next time.

We are currently into our 3rd day of a week stay.
We were greeted by the friendly staff with a smile especially Tony! He is a very friendly and kind man who always makes our son feel special.

We had a few issues on arrival. We only had 2 single beds and we are a couple and we have a 10 yr old child with us.They said its per our booking but to he honest they didn't go out of there way to accommodate us at all.

The beds are very hard and we all wake up with a backache every morning. We have no reserve toilet paper and have ended up buying some from Big C and using that.We had to ask twice for some and we still didn't get it till they cleaned the room.

We are in an area where there is no lift and we have to walk a fair amount of stairs with an injured child .This makes it hard. All hotels should have lifts to all levels.

The swimming pool is amazing and probably the best thing about the resort. If you stay here you would want the rooms on the pool deck that have access to the pool or higher for the view. Our room looks down the driveway with a small view of the large shopping centre not much sea view.

The Splash mountain bar staff are very nice and the food was nice but not great.
The tuk tuk takes you to either Jungcelyon shopping centre or Patong Beach every hour but only runs till 6:20pm return.

Tuk tuk charge 200 baht to bring you back up the hill each time.

There isn't much on television if you are room bound so the night time can be boring if unable to go out or don't want to go out to the busy area of Patong with kids.

Overall, it has been a great trip so far but there have been hiccups and the hotel need to work on fixing many things. They are new so maybe that will come. Also, the staff English is a little hard to understand.Makes it very hard and they don't budge on changing things around for guests.

A big THANK YOU to Tony as he has been very friendly!!!!
He makes our stay worthwhile.

I may consider staying again in the future but I don't think I could do the beds for another week! They are awful! They may be new but pain is all I can say.

Dear Anissa72, our valued guest,

Greeting from The Senses Resort and Spa, the luxury resort in Patong Phuket!

It’s very nice of Tony, pool setting and pool bar team that made your holiday more memorable here and we are so apologized that we could not unintentionally accommodate you well. Your comment was discussed in our management meeting to investigate the issue of the bed type. Actually, we discovered that we have prepared the king bed for you, however, due to the early check in, the available room that we have was twin bed at that time. So, our intention is to offer the option for our guest either the twin room for the early check in or the king bed for the normal check in time. Additionally, the toilet issue is reported to our executive housekeeping for further investigation. Furthermore, our team try to improve the service by having the training about the service consistency in order to satisfy our guest more and more.

We are so sorry that the bed is quite new so it might a little bit hard but it will be softer for your next visit. Our housekeeping team can provide the softer bed for your most comfort.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent.
The hotel is still new and clean. The room is also large and beautiful.
All of the stuff gave us a good smile and good treat.
A water pool was large, clear, and connected to some special room's balcony. So if you stay in the room, you can go into the pool directly from your room anytime.

The hotel was close to the large mall JunkCeylon, and provides us hourly basis transportation to the mall and the beach in free. (also pickup)

Just one concern is that the hotel is upon a hill. So if you come to the hotel by walk, you need to climb up a steep.
This slope really killed our motivation to go out. But you still have the transportation as above. I think this will not be so serious issue to you.

As a conclusion, we really enjoyed the stay, and may choose this hotel again if we luckily have a chance to visit Phuket.

Greeting from The Senses Resort and Spa, the luxury resort in Patong Phuket!

We are so happy to hear that you had a nice holiday here and felt cozy at home when staying in our resort. Our resort that could make your day happy and put the smile on your face while enjoy chatting with our associates who have always a special care for our guests. Your preferences of the pool access room and the complimentary shuttle bus to the shopping mall was well noted. Although, the resort is located upon the hill, but we could provide you our easy shortcut way to the lobby in order not to climb up a steep, this would be more pleasant for you.

We arrived around 10pm and were greeted by friendly staff, quick check in. Happy to find the room clean, quiet, and wake up with a nice city view. Breakfast had everything you needed, the restaurant staff are attentive and polite.

Was great to have an on site Day Spa we enjoyed a great massage the next day - the best way to start and finish a holiday. The swim up bar and pool area is excellent after spending a busy day out.

The atmosphere is peaceful considering busy Patong and Bangla road is just a 5 min tuk tuk away. We were stoked to find a 711 and cheap laundry service a short walk away.

We booked our first tour to Phi Phi via a roadside travel agent. But in the end we used the resorts travel agent Pat as she was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us really good discounts without us asking.

I must admit we haven't been on a long holiday for while so we have been easy to please but I am a Travel Agent and known to be super fussy, especially when it comes to cleanliness and customer service. We are here for another two nights and confident our stay will end as well as it began, my husband told the staff this morning he wants to come back.

The Senses is pretty new and sits up the hill a little with a view out over the town towards the ocean. It's a short walk to all of the action, with the Junceylon shopping centre about half way between it and the ocean. The driveway is short but quite steep, but we found it fine to walk a couple of times a day. Location wise, I found it nice to be close to everything but not in amongst it, as Patong is a bit of a party town. We had an ocean view room which looked out over the pool towards the beach. The room was very comfortable - although I found the bed really hard - nothing like my pillow top at home! We spent quite a bit of time in and around the pool, which was lovely with views over the rooftops. There is a swim-up bar and happy hour is between 5-6pm. Cocktails were the best I've ever had. The restaurant is very reasonable and we had the breakfast every day which had a good variety of food. The staff were all very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those who want to get amongst the action but then have some peace to sleep. I was quite amused by the astro-turf lift lobbies on each floor!

Room Tip: There are some rooms which have direct access to the pool from their doors, but I think these would...
