Stayed here for a couple of days. It was fairly decent. Rooms were clean, showers were modernish, service was good although the staff didn't speak that much English, but then again, you're in Thailand, not England right? Their English was acceptable for the basic requests.
Location wise, it was about a 10-15 minute fairly easy walk to the main action. Many shops and restaurants nearby. Also a marketplace that opens in the evening onwards that serves really cheap streetfood.
One thing that annoyed me (although this obviously isn't the hotels fault) was the large number of Russians staying at the hotel. For some reason they think its ok to stand around in the halls at night chatting loud nonsense for hours (yes hours) on end. One particular night a drunk Russian idiot came back and started smashing up furniture in his room and screaming like a madman. Ruined my sleep. But don't let that stop you from staying here, you are just as likely to experience bad guests anywhere else.More
