“Simple and Nice budget hotel”
Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

Nice place to stay and stay there for 2 nights, good location, take around 20 minutes walk from hotel to Patong beach, every thing is new inside the hotel and clean, staff is very helpful. Only little comment is the bathroom is a little bit small. Nearby was a few convenient store.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, the room and bathroom was spacious and clean, has hot shower, hair dryer, balcony, flat tv, and dvd player, minibar.
Doesnt have elevator, so choose lower floor if available, not suitable for big luggage.
Also you need to go down to lobby to get hot water, because they doesnt provide you with kettle in room.

The bed was comfy, AC working fine (but has weird smell for first time), and wifi only working up to 2nd floor, but im sure Marc is working on it.

You can rent motorbikes, book trips, order minibus pick up next door.

Couple minutes drive to Patong Beach, 5 minutes drive to Bangla Rd.

Price is very affordable.

The owner Marc is a really nice guy, very friendly guy, plus he lets us takes shower on our last day of stay even after we checkout.

Overall is Great.
Very happy to stayed here. Thanks Marc

Room Tip: Choose bottom floor room, because they dont have elevator

We stayed 20 nights at Marc´s Hotel. Room is very clean and service is nice. The furnishing is new and modern. Beverages and beer are not offered only in the room´s fridge also at the ground floor. WIFI worked without any complications. The owner marc is a really cool guy. He showed us some beautiful places like the swimming fish restaurant or the fantastic surfing bar. Next to this hotel you can get wonderful European breakfast and a family mart is also close to it. If you need a motorbike for your holidays just rent one at the travel tour information next to the Marq hotel.
So, this is a hotel for people who want to stay in a beautiful, clean hotel for little money.

We stayed at the Marq for a week in February and had a great time. The staffs were fantastic, always happy to help. The owner was amazing, making us so welcome! We even got invited to join their staff party with delicious homemade meal!! Could not ask for more!
Room was big, clean and quite. Location was superb, close to everything. Will definitely recommended this hotel to friends and family.
And Marcus, all the animals at home survived our holiday as well. Cheers till we next in Phuket, Sompit and Steve.

Room Tip: We like lower floor so we don't have to walk too far!

We stayed here last week for 4 days 3 nights. Strategically located on the quieter side of Patong, and has varieties of food outside the hotel. Luckily, every night got different night market on every side of Patong. So get your tummy ready for a food trip! From outside the hotel, its a 10 minutes walk to Patong beach, and 7 minutes walk to Jungceylon mall- where you can buy most of the Thailand goodies like tamarind (their pride), souvenir shirts and other items. There's a lot of flee market, literally everywhere.

Room is clean and well maintained. Towels, soap, shampoo are provided. small fridge is also inside every room, hair dryer, and a phone. We took the family room, their double-decker room, and it was a surprise that their bed is of good quality! It is made of steel so it doesn't shake nor make any noise when you go up and down the deck.

Wi-fi is not that good inside the rooms.
No elevator so its a bit hassle when you are on the 3rd floor.
No breakfast provided, although coffee and tea are always on the ground floor, for free.
another downside is that the house keeping has its timing, 5pm. If you forgot to put the "make-up" sign outside your door, definitely your room will be a mess the whole day. Even the rubbish, they wouldn't clean for you and you have to wait the next day..

Staff, like ka-waw is friendly. She converse with english very well and even gave us suggestions where to eat and shop. Marcus, the owner, responds to my online inquiries promptly.

Room Tip: choose level 1. no lifts on this hotel..

We just stayed in The Marq for our phuket trip for one night. The room rate is very cheap, but it is a bit off the crowded area, and there is not much food outlets nearby. The hotel itself doesnt provide any food, and there is no elevator, hence it is x suitable for elderly and those with big luggages. The room is rather small especially the washroom, but sufficient for us. There is no water kettle provided in each room also, so you have to walk down to the ground floor for a cup of coffee or tea, or hot water for your instant noodle. The air con was initially not cold despite setting the temperature to 16 degree celcius. My husband need to help the hotel clean the aircon filter before the room is reaaly cold. Generally, if you want to aim for shopping at jungceylon, better do not stay here, unless you are going to rent a bike to move around.
