we have just returned from seaview patong had a fabulous time.the hotel was in a great location it was out of the way in that you wernt in the middle of all traffic and hustle n bustle but the bars, shops and resturants were a short walk away.we stayed in the hotel bed and breakfast,it was lovely plenty of choice and variety.the staff were all very friendly and helpful.would definately return and recommend to a friend.
did the phi phi island trip well worth going to a real great experiance, the sea was very choppy got thrown about abit in the speed boat n got soaked but it added to the experience although a little scary at times.
the fantasea was totally over rated not worth the money at all,was a little upsetting with performing elephants n other animals that i felt shouldnt be on stage like that.the actual show was very random not great in our oppinion.
all in all fabulous holiday.

Stayed for 14 nights at this lovely hotel - my third stay in 6 years (before and after tsunami). It is located very well on Patong Beach, away from traffic noise and night life, but still within walking distance to enjoy night life, restaurants and shopping. The staff are extremely friendly, from the lady cleaning the rooms, waiters, gardeners to the staff working at the front desk. Rooms, pools and gardens are in very good condition and very clean. What a joy!! The food is excellent (room service and restaurant) and the breakfasts are a feast. If there is something you would like to eat and it is not displayed at breakfast buffet, just ask, they go out of their way to satisfy your request. I will always return to this hotel and would go out of my way te refer it to friends, families and strangers. Well done management of Seaview Patong!!! Having just returned home from a great holiday at this hotel, we would recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel in situated at the end of the beach in a quieter side of patong which we liked. Ten minutes walk into the busier part of patong that was a nice walk if you walked on the beach side of the road, save being bothered by all the shop owners , tuk tuk drivers and taxi drivers. The staff at the hotel were lovely, very friendly, helpful and polite. Our room was cleaned everyday and was spotless, the hotel provided a beach bag and beach towels also an umbrella as it is now their rainy season, it rained twice at night for about 30 minutes while we were on holiday. We had a meal one night in the hotel which we really enjoyed , the food really good a bit pricey but no more than other hotels in the resort. Plenty of sun beds this time of year, they were comfort as soon as we sat on one the staff came and put a great big towel on the bed for you and also put up the parasol. Do'nt be fooled by people asking you to fill in surveys for the tourist board as they are time share touts and will ring your room early in the morning once they find out your hotel and room number. We will certainly be returning to this hotel.

Arriving at Seaview we also had our incounter with the bellboy that is so interested in his tip after caring your bags. We gave him 10 bht which was all we had on us after we left Bankok, as we had to draw money again. He was not impressed at all, but I just laughed at him. By the way if you are using cash cards or traveler cards use the ATM by the 7 Eleven, you do not pay any bank costs when drawing money there. Some ATM's charge up to 150 bht per transaction.

Seaview is a wonderfull hotel and the staff are really friendly and helpfull. We even got a free thai set menu dinner on the day of arrival which was really nice.

We only left at 17:00 for the airport and even though you have to check out by 12:00, they provide a room where you can get ready (hairdryer, toilet, shower, clean towels) before you lift is there to the airport, which was really great and they still treat you as their guest.

The beach is just across the road from the hotel and the sunsets are awesome!

this is an Ideal hotel for people with kids, but as well for anyone wanting a relaxed holiday.

i would recommed this hotel to anyone, and I really do not know of anything bad to say about the Seaview Patong.

Go see FANTASEA it is out of this world!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel last june and being a very fussy person myself, Didnt have any problems at this hotel what so ever!
The staff were helpful and the rooms were clean. We spent most of our days around the pool (when it wasnt raining!) which was always very clean and never had any problem getting a sun lounger!
The hotel is a short walk from all the shops and bars - which is where we spent most evenings. Being a shopaholic (lol) i loved it cos there is some real bargains to be had! but just make sure you shop around before buying as they will try to rip you off!

We did some excursions including: Phi Phi island - Would deffinatly recommend this trip if you like beaches! just be sure to check the weather first because we didnt, and we missed out on seeing the last island due to a storm comming - which we got caught in on a speedboat and it was possibly one of the most scariest times of my life as never experianced anything like that before!
We then did another trip where you explore some caves and do abit of snorkling... well.... they dont fully explain how daunting this can be - everybody gets a tour guide in there canue who paddles it into the cave which is pitch black the only light your see is with a torch the guide has, and i didnt realise jus how claustrophobic this can be when inside the cave i closed my eyes as wasnt to keen on it only when i opened them i realised my nose was practically touching the top of the cave and with a canue in front and behind you theres not really anyway out other than keep on going - i was one of many who didnt like that experiance at all and will never do it again although you can see some beautiful sites! (maybe im just a wimp when it comes to things like that)

All in all i had a good holiday but was glad to come home after the two weeks. I would go again but not too soon!

Me and my wife visited Thailand from the 22nd of march 09 to the 28th of march. It was the second half of our trip so we flew in from Kuala Lumpur. We arrived at the hotel around half 9 and were shattered after having to wait for almost 2 hours at Phuket airport (poorly run airport). The seaview patong is about an hour away from the airport, our transfers set up by hayes and jarvis were prompt and ready and waiting to get us to our hotel.
Upon arrival we had to check in, which took a while but they offered us some fruit juice while we sat and waited. Which was a nice touch.
Once checked in a bellboy (not sure of his name) showed us to our room. Once there he was so blatantly stalling for a tip, he just wouldn't leave and made it very awkward for me and my wife, I explained to him that I did not have any thai baht, only malaysian ringits, but even after this he hung around with a disappointed and slightly angry look on his face. He eventually slithered out of the room but after that we just didnt trust the hotel very much. So we made sure to make use of the safe which is provided free of charge and made sure to put any expensive items in the safe and all money was taken with us when we were out. Maybe this was too much but that bellboy was very shifty and looked to be angry for not getting a tip, so we didn't take any chances.
The room was typical of a beach side room, tiled floors, tv, balcony etc. But we did ask for a double bed and their idea of a double is pushing 2 single beds together. Overall the room is very clean and the cleaners do a fantastic job. It serves its purpose as a 4-star hotel although the room service could have been cheaper, the prices for food were ridiculous.

The location of the hotel is at the far end of the beach, so the quiet side of Patong and quite a way from the lively Bangla street. But it is not long before you reach the markets and the restaurants, about 2 mins away and bangla would be around 15-20 mins walk away. It was nice being on the quiet side of the beach though because it provided a getaway from the loud markets and the oap's in thongs with their bellies hanging out sunbathing on the beach.

The hotel has 2 pools, and both are decent pools with sun loungers laid out to get the best of the sun either in the morning or the evening...but when the beach is 10 seconds away, you won't spend much time here.

Breakfast was actually very enjoyable with a wide range of foods (although some that were obviously from the previous nights dinner menu). The staff are too eager in giving you tea or coffee lol, even when my cup was full they would ask, but I found this cute. They do have the best cookies I've ever tasted, so if you do stay here, eat the cookies. The hotel also provides ice cream for breakfast which was a nice touch.

A few niggles, they didn't provide free internet which is fine but they were charging over £2 an hour. Thats more than double the price in London.

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay in Phuket, and the hotel was better than average. Apart from the bellboy, who by the way, to my reluctance, still managed to grab my wifes luggage and take it down some steps...was still looking for a tip and held onto the bag for a while, out of principle I did not tip him, no no noooo, he had made his bed. Just steer clear of this bellboy, you'll know which one he is because he looks shifty while the rest of the staff look genuine.
