This was such a great choice - I accept that the beds are hard, but you can request an additional mattress which makes for a softer nights sleep. Hot showers and clean facilities. The pools are good and the bar staff very accommodating - the hotel has a policy which does not encourage saving sun beds - this is the fairest way for all. The hotel is ideally positioned for the beach and walking into the main part of the town. Tuc Tuc's are easily accessible - as are massages, suits and DVD's !!! Beware the timeshare scams - ignore anyone on a scooter offering a scratch card.
The hotel staff were friendly and really obliging - we could not have asked for more.
Horizon - thank you for rescuing us from the dire experience at the Club Bamboo spa and resort !

Room Tip: Balconies allow space for drying clothes - but be mindful of the request not to hang out personal i...

Great rooms with good air cons and comfy beds. good showers and baths. extremely friendly and helpful staff, and of course spectacular food from both of the restaurants. Fair prices and great deals.
Ideal location only 30 second walk to patong beach and 6 min walk to the famous banglar rd with all its night time attractions or the shopping areas.

The horizon patong beach resort and spa also features 2 brilliant pools. 1 of which has a swim up bar with great cocktails.

And if your looking to head out on a tour of James Bond island or go snorkelling at pei pei island. Or experience the wonder of Simon Caberat then the reception area has a fantastic tour desk with helpful and friendly staff. Who can organise full tours for you with pick up and drop of to the hotel... Really is worth seeing the Simon caberate while your in phuket by the way..

Also included in our price was a full buffet breakfast every morning
And that was just great as well.

I'm going back to phuket next year for 1 month this time and will defenitly be staying at the Horizon patong beach resort and spa..

A+++

Room Tip: Ask for one of the upstairs room for a little more luxury..

This hotel ahs recently been refurbished and our family room was very well equipped, spacious and well decorated. The resort is well maintained, has two pools and a great restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort is in a great location. Friends staying in a much more expensive hotel down the road spent most of the time here as it was much friendlier. Would definately recommend this hotel to couples and friends and will be staying again.

We stayed here in Oct 2011, First impression when we arrived was WOW, but did not have the same reaction when shown our room, very outdated and very basic, bathroom was not much better.
Aircon worked when it wanted to. Rooms are very spacious.

If your looking for somewhere to just throw your bags down and spend most of your time around sight seeing then this is a great place.( but i do believe they have renovated since)

Hotel is in a great location across from the beach, and a very short walk to everything, and is away from all the hustle and bustle of bangla road.

Plenty of sun loungers to lounge around the pool, but in the afternoons can get busy the bar staff poolside were very friendly and accommodating.

Breakfast was great and changed slighty each day.

We spent 4 nights here on our second visit to Phuket. The resort is wonderfully located close to the beach and the restaurants, shops and bars, but once inside you wouldn't know as it is so private. Our room had been renovated, but it was located at the end of a dark alley tucked behind the restaurant. If staying again I would pay the extra for a room with a veranda or an outlook over the pool. Unfortunately they were fully booked so we couldn't upgrade. The king bed was extremely firm, but surprisingly comfortable.
The 2 pools are lovely. Only complaint was not enough pool beds for the number of guests, and those that were there were 'reserved' by very rude guests who placed towels on them early in the morning and hardly used them, yet we felt we couldn't.
Buffet breakfast was lovely, and the staff amazing. Always smiling and ready to assist.
A bit old fashioned - you have to leave your key (an actual key, not a card key) when you leave the hotel, and ask for it upon return. Likewise the room safe was not electronic, we were supplied with a key. And free WiFi in lobby only, not even available in the room if you were prepared to pay for it. To remain competitive they need to update.
It was my birthday the day after our arrival and they gave me a small fruit platter with a lovely note.
Many of the guests had stayed before, and we would be happy to stay again.

Room Tip: ask for one with a pool view

This was our second stay at the Horizon Patong, we stayed last year in June For 10 days and loved it. We have just come back from a 20 day stay in October. The rooms have been renovated since we stayed last year and they are very nice now. We love the breakfast, so many choices of food to have for Breakfast. All the staff are really lovely. It is a small resort compared to some of the resorts in Patong, but thats what we like about it, it has everything you need 2 swimming pools, pool bar, and the gardens are wonderful. You have a beach entrance and a street entrance which we like and not far to Bangalo Road for a look either.
And the price to stay at the Horizon is very good too.

Room Tip: We love to stay on the beach side upstairs, its quiet and you have private balconys too.
