Stayed here few years back and I must say it was excellent.. Greeted with complimentary drinks on arrival... U wanna feel rich stay here... Really clean and rooms exceptional.. Bout 9 mins away from main patong beach and town, but easy to get to with cab which is free or even pennies..

Drawback walking to rooms ha steep hill.. But seriously that's nothing..

Oh and btw guys they won't let u bring back Thai girls.....! Or at least didn't wen I went few years back..

Seriously tho great views and awesome hotel...!!

Great location and service. Friendly staff. The only negative thing was that the beds are really hard. We did not try the restaurants but the breakfast was ok. There is a lot of stairs... for us that was no problem, but could be taken into account if necessary.

Room Tip: Great view from the top floor rooms

We just finished 2 weeks at Diamond Cliff. We felt really being treated like royalties with the great service and fabulous views from the balcony over the sea. The staff was very friendly and tried to help with everything. The breakfast was really good and I liked especially the korean and japanese food as well that made it very versatile. We used often the free transportation to Patong city and Phuket town. Great stay!

I went to this hotel together with my mum and we had a fantastic time! The very second we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the staff who took the bags up to our room while a very nice lady took us into a cafe/restaurant and explained the hotel area to us and served us some refreshments. There are also traffic guards outside the hotel since the traffic there is terrifying. Our biggest problems with the staff during our stay was a bit of a language barrier with some (some didn't understand English very well) and the other problem was that the pool boys (yes plural) sort of "fell in love" with me which was both flattering and hilarious, but seeing how persistent and indiscreet they were, it was also quite embarrassing and at times annoying. Still, mostly hilarious though.

The room was absolutely AMAZING, way better than we had expected, and it was very large! Having separate rooms for the shower, bath and toilet was very nice seeing as we were two people. The only problem we had with our room during the 14 days we were there, was some lizards/gekkos getting in to our room because we didn't have the air conditioning on high enough, but the brave cleaning ladies showed up and got rid of them for us.
Once we got out into the hall there was a bit of a problem with the staff not picking up plates used for room service, they were just left outside the door with food still on them, and that of course attracted bugs (luckily not to our room).
The place itself is incredibly beautiful, and a bus drives up and down inside the hotel area, so if you're too tired to walk or have a bad back or something, you can just get on the little shuttle and he'll drive you where you need to go.

Food was good, the breakfast buffet was impressive and I really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant there.
All in all an AMAZING stay with very little downsides! Would love to go back!

We had 2 weeks staying at this hotel returning on 22/12 it was lovely.
The hotel was spotless and the staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed on a room only basis - the breakfast at the hotel was fairly expensive, so we walked down the hill and had breakfast in various eateries on the side of the road running along the seafront. They don't look much but the food is good.
The number 6 restaurant is very good and is close to where the hotel shuttle bus drops you off on the main road in Patong, They also have another restaurant at the top of a hill nearby and provide a free shuttle to and from their town restaurant .
Another restaurant that is popular and good value is the Wai Thai on the seafront, about 15 minutes walk from the hotel just follow the beach road.
If you want a very nice restaurant try the Baa Rim Pa almost opposite the hotel a bit more expensive and classy with great views across the bay ww went there for my 50th birthday
Wine is expensive about £30 a bottle in restaurants, Singa beer is good and fairly inexpensive and cocktails are good value.
We ate in the hotel a few times, food was okay and about the same that you might pay in the UK.
it's is worth shopping around to book trips as the hotel/reps were more than double what we ended up paying. If booking in town you can get the price down with a bit of negotiation from what they originally quote.
I used the spa a few times it was very good, try the massage ladies on the beach at your own risk and peril! They are Ok if you want a rough rub!!

Room Tip: room 1617 was on the 3rd floor and had a good view out to sea

We recently stayed at the Diamond Cliff Resort and Spa in Phuket. Hotel looks a bit tired and is in need of a face lift. Food at the hotel is not the best. Recommend eating out. However, the staff are Very helpful and friendly. Rooms are also spotless. Housekeeping is of a very high standard and one is made to feel very comfortable. Ideally situated as it is not in the heart of the busyness of Patong Beach; but also easily accessible.

We spent a 8 days at this resort and had a wonderful time. The rooms are big with a spa bath and huge walk in dressing room with seperate toilet and seperate shower. The Staff were wonderful, breakfast was great with plenty to choose from and the ocean is only across the road. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: $ rooms back onto the swimming pool, you have your own private courtyard right next to the pool, ask...
