The resort is up on the hill where you can see the whole view of ocean. We got a best room with a fantastic view with the balcony, and i can hear the sound of the wave every night.
We stay there only 3 nights but we had a good experience of the whole thing, service, food, atmosphere, people. i even love the way from reception to my room, i feel like I'm going through the jungle.
The buffet every morning was also very nice with a lot of choices. We definitely back there if we go to Phuket again.

We stayed at this hotel when there was some major construction work going on. The lobby and reception were closed but we were pre warned about this. On arrival the reception was outside of the Superior rooms and we were asked into a hotel room to complete check in, We were slightly alarmed and thought OMG what have we let ourselves in for. We were upgraded because of the disruption so had a superior room. Our apartment block had three floors (no lift but not too strenuous). and we were on the top floor. The room was modern light and bright and quite spacious, There was a large bed, small sofa , coffee table and flat screen tv. There is also a mini bar (chargeable). Tea & coffee was free and topped up daily. The sea views were amazing and the balcony's had a small sofa and two chairs which were comfortable. We only had access to one pool but it was lovely and big and the rattan sun loungers were very comfortable. There are no sunbeds on the small beach but there were wooden loungers which overlooked the beach if you wanted to look put to sea. Waiters will bring drinks and food to your loungers all day so you never have to move if you don't want too. We only had access to the large restaurant but this was more than adequate. The was a good variety of food for breakfast the service was excellent. There were themed meals in the restaurant in the evening and I have to say the standard of the food was excellent. We went to Patong centre on a few occasions but the food never matched what we could get at the hotel. The staff at this hotel are excellent and I can honestly thing that ever annoyed us were other guests who could be rude at times. I would defiantly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful rooms!!!!!
We stayed in 2 different rooms: superior - a super ocean view with 2 balconies, living room and bath from you can see the sea. The deluxe room is more simple, but still have a stunning seaview. Both rooms were renovated they have modern and happy decoration.
As the hotel is under renovating, there is just one restaurant working, the one near the pool where they serve the breakfast as well. They have sunbeds all around including front sea. Very good pool.
Breakfast was amazing, all kind of food for all tastes.
At the really end of the "private" beach they have an spectacular pier with a bar, which I think they should use more as a super bar with super view.
Amari is at the really end of patong, far from the busy markets. To get there is better get a car/shutlle. There is a hill to get to the lobby - they have shuttles to down and up hill till late you just have to ask at the reception.

Room Tip: If you are looking for seaview room this is the place! Look for the superior room.

My fiancée and I stayed here for 2 nights from 10th July 2013. The recently renovated suite room was gorgeous, brilliantly appointed, with amazing views. Further, the location is great, and the breakfast.....as good as any we have ever experienced in Thailand, with the exception perhaps only of Lebua in Bangkok. On the negative side, the renovation really left you very limited in terms of facilities. No gym, only one pool and restaurant, and no reception area at all. We were left feeling that we only received half the hotel for a very high for the area full price to be honest. However, we were under no doubt that when the renovation is complete, that this will be one hell of a hotel, and not just a very limited, serviced facility.

We had a potential nightmare on our way back from a 24 hour trip to Phi Phi Don, as we had to collect our baggage from the hotel en-route to the airport for a flight to Koh Samui. However, the ferry was delayed, our privately booked taxi did not show, and we had to ask the hotel to drive our luggage to meet us at the airport. They promptly did so, and the bags luckily arrived 2 minutes ahead of the gate closing. The guy bringing them was equally panicked, which showed the hotel's concern and passion to help.

If it were not for the above, I would score a 3. If however the hotel was not lacking so much in facilities, and finished to the standards you could expect from what has so far been achieved, I would score a 4. If the prices were lower and more in line with the average in Patong, then a definite 5 would be in order.

Lovely rooms, each overlooking Patong beach, gorgeous swimming pool, and extremely friendly and helpful staff! We were very happy to be situated at the far end of Patong beach, catching the complimentary lift up and over the hill into the Main Street for dinner each night, but back to our lovely quiet resort by day!

Room Tip: On a day excursion, we stopped at a beach further on from Patong, called Kata and my husband and I b...

We really enjoyed our stay at Amari. The staff were friendly, couteous and helpful. The restaurant had a wide variety of menu choices, and these changed nightly, with prices that weren't too far off general eating out in Patong. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Highly recommended.

Overlooking the Calm (Normally) Bay of Phuket, this hotel's main block is at a slight elevation from the rest of the town. From there it goes all the way down to the sea with well equipped rooms and pool at the sea level. Though away from the crowd, and very quiet, it is merely ten minutes to the town centre. The hotel has some great food, suitable to the European and american palette and makes you feel comfortable in its surroundings. Staff is very courteous and a drink in the lounge is a must have at least once, around sunset. Amazing view, some water sports, good food
Cons : Small Pool(s) with little seating area. Not much of a beach
