“Fantastic Honeymoon Hotel”
Reviewed February 17, 2012

It was our Honeymoon and after a lot of research we selected Amari Coral beach as the place to stay. It was one of the best decisions of our lives. The hotel is fantastic, beautiful, amazing, awesome service, neat and clean. Due to its location it has its private access area to the patong beach which is used only by the hotel guests. Swimming pools (2) are amazing. Breakfast is delicious will lots of vegetarian varieties as well. We stayed there from 1st to 5th Feb 2012, in the Deluxe Room on the 2nd floor (7224). The view was amazing, a dream come true. We had an unobstructed view of the sea and the beach was just about 50 meters from our place. The service quality right from the welcome drink, room service, spa was absolutely fabulous. It is a perfect destination for couples who want to have a dream honeymoon and are planning to include Phuket in their trip. Rest of the hotels in Phuket although they say are on the beach are actually near to a public beach area. We had a memorable time, we are definitely looking forward to visit again soon and will be staying in Amari again for sure.

Room Tip: Please choose rooms on the 2nd floor. All rooms are sea facing. Deluxe rooms are the best. Please in...

The number one hotel in Phuket: excellent location, away from madness of Patong, but still very close to all restaurants and bars (Walk down hill is okay, Tuk Tuk back is € 5 / 200 Bath). Private beach & pier which is excellent for sunning. All the staff in the hotel are helpful and friendly! We had a standard room, but it also had a wonderful sea view. Shame of the Russians who don't respect the swimming pool rules. We were very happy the hotel Management reacted to this problem in a very good way.

The hotel is located on the end of the Padong Beach. It is a nice 5 minute walk to the crowd, but nothing wrong with it, since it is full of fun. Service of the hotel is quite nice. Staff was super friendly. One of the pools over looks at the ocean, which I don't think is very common on Padong Beach. I told the hotel that I was on honeymoon with my husband so that I could get a twin bed for sure, they used rose to shape a heart on our bed upon arrival and gave us a chocolate cake and some fruits. It was delightful.

The room was not big and not very new. The room we got also did't have a bath. 't you care about that a lot, then this is not your hotel to stay at. But for me, it is a perfect hotel to stay at in Phuket.

Room Tip: All the rooms have sea view according to my observation

Stayed here in 2009 and it is simply beautiful. Set high up overlooking patong bay the views are simply stunning ! The room we had was small but very nice with a double bed, small bathroom with loo shower and counter and a little balcony over looking the bay . There are lots of steps everywhere but who cares when the place is so nice ? Its all open so you can have a drink and just gaze out over the bay. The food was really very nice great selection at breakfast and the restaraunts are first class. The staff are friendly and helpfull ,Thai people are so nice. The whole place was spotless and it was just like being in paradise with beautiful gardens and plants and exotic birds and lizards everywhere. We went and had a massage in one of these little huts set into the cliff and it was wonderfull so relaxing.

Unfortunately I took ill on my 2nd day and had to spend the next 3 days in hospital with an intestinal infection (Not the hotels fault I might add I had been feeling ill before I got there). I would like to add if ever you do take ill in Thailand rest assured the hospitals are absoloutley first class and I was looked after wonderfully. It is a shame I missed out on staying longer at this lovely hotel.

Our rep was wonderfully kind she took flowers into the hospital for us to say thank you and she took a picture with all the nurses standing in front of them. She also got back every single penny we had spent on trips and shows that we were not able to attend. All of the staff were very sorry I had been ill and were very caring.

I only got to spend a few days here in total but I would love to go back one day.

Just cant beleive some of the bad reveiws written about this wonderful place, the staff are fantastic and always very polite and happy to help and nothing to much trouble, the pools and gardens are immaculate and beach great for snorkelling, the hotel provides a free courtesy bus to nearby Kata beach which is beautiful. We ate at the hotel four times and each one was delightful and excellent value and so much choice at breakfast. Our room was clean and vibrant with stunning veiws.
A short walk into town (10 mins) takes you to numerous bars and restaurants and busy nightlife.
All in all this was a dream holiday.

Staying in Amari has been awesome, great service, beautiful grounds and wonderful facilities. Although our Superior room was pretty plain, it was very comfortable and the view from the private balcony was breathtaking. The common areas of the resort were much classier than the room, especially the breezy lobby bar with it's amazing panaoramic views. The resort commands a wonderful slice of the coastline overlooking the bay, with plenty of private places to relax on the beach or by the pools. The food was very good though not spectacular. It is a short 5 minute walk to the busy Patong beach, but far enough away to offer a quiet retreat from the busy main strip. The jetty is a lovely feature, as is the pretty walkway to get there. There is a lot of stairs to climb to get around the resort - which would be a consideration for anyone with mobility issues. The only negative thing I would say is that the in-room wifi internet fees were a bit mean for a 4 star place - even though there is free wifi in the lobby, it should also be free in the rooms in my opinion. A superb place to stay, I would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms numbering from 4000 are on the quiter side (smaller block) we were in room 4203 which was very...

Myself and my husband stayed here in September 2011 for our honeymoon. What an amazing hotel. It is absolutly stunning and in the absolute perfect location. It is so quiet and peaceful and the food is amazing. I agree with other travellers about the steps- sometimes i felt i need my inhaler just to walk to reception but i wouldnt let it spoil a trip asi think if all the buildings were connected by corridors and lifts it just wouldnt be the same. Staff were brilliant and the spa was really enjoyable. The rooms was spacious and extremely clean. We even got a lovely welcome cake for our honeymoon. I would do anything to go back and hghly reccommend the Steak nights.

Room Tip: If you dont want too much walking ask for a room near reception, however our rooms was pretty much t...
