“To much food and way to expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014 via mobile

The title is a bit negative but the chefs know how to prepare seafood! The problem is the management charge like a wounded bull! We had the seafood platter for two and couldn't eat it!! It was so big it was wasteful! It could have feed 4 people!! The wine list was standard for Patong but again you are paying top dollar for what is actually pretty standard wine. THB 4,000 for 2 people! Anywhere else the same would have cost no more than 2,000 to 2,500!!

“Expensive for Thailand but definitely worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2014 via mobile

The location is the obvious drawing card. It's right on the beach with second floor views over the tree canopy.

The bar and sun lounges would be great for a relaxing afternoon. Cocktails are around 220-250 baht. We ordered the steaks at around 650-700baht. Entrees are around 150.

The service is excellent and I would recommend this place to friends but only for one meal. The food is decent but you could get better value elsewhere.

“Stunning views, lovely service and very good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2014

We picked this place at random for dinner and was lead upstairs. Simply put the view was amazing , overlooking the water, sunset at night, relatively quite from the street below, and so forth.

The tables are spread out, lots of lovely lounges to relax on, great bathroom facilities, white linen tables inside, etc.

The service was outstanding, friendly, warm and exceptionally attentive. No hassles or issues in that respect.

The food menu wasn't particularly extensive but it had a mixture of western and thai influences. Prices aren't bargain basement but nor were they expensive even by thai standards. Between the two of us we had six beers each, two entrees, two mains and it was about AUS $80.00

The meat was a tad overdone. But portions were great with fresh produce. So do recommend.

“Nothing more than the sunset...”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2014

After checking out a couple of seafood places in Patong, we decided to have supper at this restaurant one evening. Seafood looked nice and the rooftop setting was great for a sunset meal. After talking with the restaurant host, Alex, we decided to have the seafood platter which is $2700 Baht. Alex brought us to the rooftop and once we were seated we chose how we wanted our fish and seafood cooked. It was very clear that the seafood was suppose to be done on the BBQ and the fish was to be fried with garlic pepper sauce. After Alex left and while we were deciding on a bottle of wine, the waitress came and started explaining that our fish and seafood were already in the oven!!! She tried to convince us to take the platter items baked and then went on to assure us that everything would be done as initially ordered. Nobody asked us if we wanted appetizers before or a drink to start off and the waiters not a word of English. What seemed to be a relaxed and chill sunset supper, simply turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences we ever had. Food was ok, but was not made at all according to what was requested and the staff's attitude and incompetence just ruined the whole evening for us! The worst is that the staff informed the manager of the situation, but he did not even try to fix it, but just tried to excuse the whole thing when we were leaving. Oh, and the cherry in the sunday: we found out that the BBQ was not even working but they try to convice us that it was by explaining that the gas oven is the BBQ...?
One piece of advise: DO NOT EAT HERE.

Pros :
- Really nice view. That's about it

Cons :
- Incompetent staff including the Food and Beverage manager
- Lack of customer service
- False advertising
- ...and too any others to list

Instead go up the street to Patong Seafood. Been running for more than 30 years. Service and food are on the spot!!

“Lovely local food & well priced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2014

On a night in Patong before the local election, all the street bars close at 6.00pm. Even 7/11 and Family Mart etc are not allowed to sell alcohol! So We were looking for a place to have a drink and restaurants are allowed. We stumbled across this place and thoroughly enjoyed our meal - a selection of Tom Yum soup, stir fried noodles & seafood in oyster soup and a stir fried fork - with the obligatory Jasmine rice. As well as being above La Flora as mentioned by Onepowerball01, there is also a street level and alley way seating that lets you take in the street sights. Service was a little slow and after one glass of promotional Australian Sauv Blanc, they ran out! There is a 10% service charged but it is displayed on the menu.
