This place is Great! If you want the hustle & bustle of Patong, then stay in Patong! Stop Whingeing! If you want peace & Quiet & a bit of seclusion to be with your partner? this is the perfect place. The rooms are huge with drop dead views. You couldn't ask for better. The pool is clean & great to laze around because the place isn't overcrowded, perfect! The private beach at high tide is good to swim out & snorkel on the reef. If you don't want to eat here, then just a ten minute walk along the beach to the Windsurf Restaurant is a treat in itself. The staff were super friendly & helpful. Overall, loved it! I didn't want to go home. Will be coming back.

Room Tip: Try and get upgraded to a junior sweet. The rooms are massive with great views.

This place is so run down. Everything we tried to use didn't work incl internet, television reception, lift, safe. The food for breakfast and room service was disgusting and not eatable. The staff were like something out of fawlty towers. They did not care about the quests at all. They are all too busy playing n the internet. One female staff member at the front desk did not make any bookings we asked for and said she was too busy. There were hardly any other guests so I was not sure what she was doing. The only good staff were the cleaners. They were very friendly and very good. We were stuck there for 2 weeks. Some of the drivers on the shuttle were just rude and bad tempered. We would not recommend this place to anybody.

Firstly this is my first trip to Thailand......Secondly i was meant to be booked into the Blue Ocean Resort Patong and I have ended up at the sister resort at Tri Trang beach through booking on line with trip advisor, I have been mislead badly!!! I am a 10 minute drive from Patong in this extremely run down resort and not clean room. I have asked to see the manager since arriving yesterday and i am just getting the run around. Lets start with the room......there was a stain on one of the pillows, the shower screens & tiles look they've never been cleaned (so much soap scum its incredible), the tap ware looks like its been cleaned using a dirty rag, the beds are ROCK hard (sleeping on the floor would've been just as comfortable) and to top it off this morning there was no hot water, or water pressure!!!! The resort is less than impressive.......the staff have been no help at all, the breakfast is below average, pool is run down and no pool bar (but its advertised to have one), the only thing i can say is the resort does have great views of the ocean.
As I am a single person I would not recommend the location and good luck trying to find a taxi driver who knows where the resort is!!!
One of the worst places i've stayed in

Room Tip: Look to stay somewhere else

Firstly, let me say that I am not fussy. I have stayed in treehouse hotels on phi phi with cold showers and bugs every where and loved it. My main concern with blue ocean beach resort is value for money.

This is not a 3 star resort. I am currently travelling around Thailand and have stayed at many places, several 2 star are better than this.

First the positives: the rooms are very spacious
Negatives: leaking shower and toilet in bathroom, bathroom with no ventilation. Breakfast was almost inedible, cold and horrible. The staff were unhelpful, we were constantly having to go to the hotel down the road for basic services that a hotel should offer. The staff did not even acknowledge you as you walked through reception.
The tri trang area is not great. Beaches are rocky and it is too far to travel into patong for basic conveniences.

Save yourself the money. I am currently staying at the burasari in patong which is the same price with service that is 10x better.

The view was my main calling card for this hotel, but it is not all that great compared to other views in Thailand.

I can not think of any reason I would ever encourage anyone to stay at this hotel.

When we first got here we noticed that the resort is a far way from the advertising photos. We could tell that by the Coconut Palm being double the size.

The service there is good. The people at reception are lovely. The old security man is very nice and always smiling.

We were taken to our room, when we walked in it does look like the photos. But the bathroom was extremely dirty with the bath tub being covered in soap scum. The aircon was very noisy in the room but we had to leave it on 24/7 to dry out the room as it was so damp.

We were booked in for a 7-night stay but only stayed two nights.

The restaurant closes at 6pm so you have to walk 10mins down the road to the other resort and go to their restaurant whic is open until 11pm.

The private beach you couldn't swim in as its covered in rocks. The resort overall is a bit run down. It has an amazing view and I would definitely recommend this resort for those who are looking for a secluded place away from everything, this is the place to go.

The breakfast starts at 6:30am... we went down at 7am and it was cold as they didnt light the burners to keep it warm.

After our first night we went into Patong and asked to transfer out as its a bit to seclude for our liking. Also the shuttle bus starts at 10am and only runs until 6pm then you have to catch a tuk-tuk for around 200baht.

It's a comfortable resort for maybe a couple looking to be secluded. But for those who want to be able to explore Patong, I recommend staying in Patong Beach area.

Room Tip: If you are going to stay here I recommend paying the lil extra for the Grand rooms.

On arriving the welcome wasn't the best we were taken to our room, the bathroom was big but not very clean the toilet flooded & we could not flush it without the floor been covered in the contents of the loo.
We were eventually moved to another room 2 days later, the wifi was not working for most of our stay, 2
Days later the air conditioning broke and it took a day to fix that, just very disorganised & slow to react to any problems..
I rang for room service on day at 5.30pm to be told the chef had gone so no food, there was no where else to get food around the hotel as it is quite isolated..
Breakfast was very basic & what food was there was cold...
The best feature is the view from the rooms...
Wouldn't go back I think it would be better described as a back packers.

Blue Ocean Beach Resort is a nice hotel. At the reception, the staff is always smiling and wishing to help out the best they could. Since the hotel is located a little far from the city center, the hotel also arranges a shuttle bus to reach the city center. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable. The beds are clean and big. The overall atmosphere in the room is excellent, great sea view, and refreshing smell. Blue Ocean Beach Resort has its own private beach, good for swimming and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the prices were reasonable. Great variety and good service. The breakfast restaurant is located right above the beach with a great sea view. An excellent place to have breakfast and just relax with a breathtaking view of the Patong bay. In general, as a 4 star hotel in Tri Trang Beach, I think this will be the best choice you can make!
