“pretty new, room for improvement”
Reviewed May 20, 2012

I stayed here for a beach holiday in patong for one week in May. The hotel is pretty new and construction work is still going on. Not noisy one. A few more rooms have to be furbished and get ready for high season.
The pictures on the website are pretty much what you get: a kind of stylish hotel, nicely located up on the hill. The rooms are spacy, the bed huge (sth like 2x2m). Nice view overlooking the bay of patong. Great. the pools are nice, quite a few sunchairs around. but i would not name it an all day stay in holiday resort like others in thailand.

Pros: nicely done in reduced styled rooms, everything pretty new, bit outside noisy patong (15mins walk), 5 mins to the beach, quiet

standard: big flat tv, free wireless internet, breakfast buffet - from fruits to toast, eggs, chinese cuisine. Average but ok.

cons: no visitors allowed unless they are registered. Charge for an overnight: 1500THB - nothing that i would expect on a place like patong, thin walls - you can hear neighbours quite clearlay.

all in all a nice middleclass hotel, with all u need for a beach holiday.

Room Tip: I booked a standard room facing the hill, but had a remark on the booking: highest level available...

Hotel was closed that time but they sold us a room.
We bought rooms in that hotel but they were still building that hotel. They put us in 2 star hotel far from area that we wanted to stay. No one cared about us. They said that is not our problem that hotel is still under construction.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

We stayed here last month and was amazed and the great rate we had got! The hotel is new and it looks like not all of the rooms are ready yet. The hotel is on the street level about a 5-10 minute stroll from the beachfront. There are a number of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and there are plenty of Song Taews etc driving past to jump in if you would like to venture further. It's a steep walk up the hill to the elevator (although I see the stairs from the lobby should be open soon too). The first elevator takes you up to the main pool area which is lovely. Chairs are in the water and it has a very tropical feel. The restaurant is also here which serves to the pool too. The second elevators to the rooms are here in the block we stayed. You either book a sea view (which has a full sea view) or a jungle view. Rooms are spacious. Bed was firm. Nice rain shower and tub in the bathroom. Like everyone else has said though... the walls are thin. In fact it's not the walls but the design of the wardrobes in the rooms. The back panel of the warbrobe forms the wall to the connecting room so indeed they are plywood thin. This is an annoying niggle and one that's not easily rectified.

Lots of mosquitoes and they didn't appear to spray or cold fog at all.

I would stay there again if the same special rates were available and wouldn't hesitate to recommend others to try it too.

Room Tip: If you like to stay in the room and have a beverage on the balcony... perhaps go for a sea view one...

I was very dissapointed by this hotel. My husband and I had very high expectations but, sadly, the hotel did not deliver what we were looking for.
On arrival they did give us a fruity drink and cold towels, which is a nice touch, and i should point that out. However, they had a lot of trouble finding our reservation and it took a while before they gave up, and I had to look for it in my computer.
It is advertised as a beach front hotel, but do not be fooled, it is not even close. They do offer a free shuttle to patong beach which is a plus, but cant be sold as beach front.
On first basis the name is deceiving. You picture beach and palm trees and your feet on sunny sand, but you get none of that.
The hotel is very new, and has only one building working because construction is still going on. This did not bother us per se, but it means that we were put on the very back of the hotel, where you cant even hint there is an ocean somewhere close by.
On second hand, the design makes it very uncomfortable. You cant get anywhere without a golf cart, or hotel tuk tuk for which, at some hours, you have to wait several minutes (and let me point out this is low season, i cant even imagine what this will be like on high season).
You have to take an elevator to the pool, and then another elevator to your room., which means there is no direct access from the lobby to the rooms, and it makes it quite an ordeal to go back to the room if you forget something.
i understand that personal taste is not something you can write a review on, but I have to point out that the dimly lit long corridors inside the hotel give it a bit of a cheap Vegas hotel feeling, and the decoration in the rooms and blue lights made me think of a place you could charge by the hour, not a five star resort. I do have to point out that everything looks brand new and very clean, but the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbor is doing (again this is low season, cant imagine how its like in high season)
The is no hair conditioner in the toiletry tray they provide which is not something I find acceptable of a 5 star hotel, or even a superior 3 star one.
The pool is very nice, and is the only place where you can catch a glimpse of the ocean, but the downside is that the shade from the building itself prevents you getting any sunlight unless you do it early in the morning. It closes at seven pm, which rules out any chance of a nice swim after a busy day in patong.
The breakfast buffet is very good, however there is no diet coke anywhere in the hotel, which again, is very strange for this kind of resort. After recurrently asking for one, on the third and last day, someone finally went outside and got me one. (this was kind of nice)
I do have to mention that the service is very good, and the staff is always smiling, and trying their best. I hope that once the hotel is finished it will come together, and improve to fit the class of hotel they claim to be, in order to compete with other hotels in both their class and price range. However, I would not recommend it and would never return. There are far better options around.

The hotel is situated at walking distance from patong beach. Nice reception area but other shops situated in the hotel compound gives it a lil down market feeling compared to otherhotels in its class. the hotel looks very small from outside but it is quite when u move inside.
The rooms are nice with neatly done bathrooms. I took an ociean view room but the view from the room was disappointing as ocean is last thing u will see from the room. The rooms are equipped with big tvs but with no english/ hindi channels so that is a waste.
Wifi in my rooms was very weak when i complained I was asked to either surf in reception or in pool area, which I really didnt like as my booking was with unlimited wifi in room.
Also to reach your hotel building from reception you have to literally climb a hill and on one instance the golf cart wasnt available which was nightmare as I was already exhausted from my day tour.
Hotel staff is nice, they arranged for veg breakfast speciaaly for us on request which was ok, otherwise also I could see there was a nice buffet breakfast spread.
All in all good stay for the money they charged otherwise needs improvement to compete within their class.

Room Tip: tak a room on higher floor to get some sea view for sea view rooms

The hotel was recently opened (in January) and construction work is still going on. The main block was ready but access to the hotel rooms was a bit complicated since there was not elevator connecting reception to the rooms. They supplied transportation service with small vehicles like golf cars up to the first elevator. The cars are not going up when it is raining because of the hill is quite steep and the road is very slippery. You have to climb up on foot what is quite a good exercise. During our stay they started to bild a small stairway uphill what helps a lot. Anyway currently you should take this into account if you have mobility problems.
We had to wait our room until 18:30 pm when we arrived because of late check-out of the prevoius guest. We were offered the other rooms at lower levels but there was no view from the window. We stayed at garden view room on 4th floor. Would recommend garden view rooms starting from the 3rd floor because at lower floors you have a look against the brick wall from the balcony. It is nice to see the jungle from the window but still the other side with sea view would be better choice with a great view to the city and the sea.
Room itself was nice and modern. The walls are thin, so you can hear neighbours snoring. Bathroom was nice with both shower and bathtub. They have very lovely pool area with great view over the Patong beach. Breakfast was exellent and service at the restaurant was good as well although we were the only guests there in the evening. The staff is still learning and try their best which is simply lovely.
The beach is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes to walk to Jungceylon shopping center, but they offer transport service 3 times a day there (10 am, 15 pm and 17 pm). This is one way trip, currently not driving you back to the hotel.
Suggest to stay there until they have discounts.

Room Tip: Sea view room or garden view room from 3 rd floor up
