“Great value good location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2012

We stayed as a family of 3 and the room was large and kept clean .This place is a must stay for people who dont want to stay in a resort. We stayed on the fourth floor and used the stairs more than the lift just for fitness and try not to be lazy. Its opposite the otop where you can get washing done ,folded and wraped for 50 baht a kg .The staff here were awsome with a guard posted at the entrance to open the door. The noise level was quiet in the room and lively on the balcony .Room service was great and stops at 11 pm. As this place is located in the active part of patong you can walk everywhere .Loved the roof top pool. All in all hard to fault and are coming backto finish a tatoo from the best artist in patong 'Toz ' at AC/DC tottoo just a few shops west

Room Tip: Room 405 . no noise can use lift or stairs to get to pool or lobby

We stayed there for ten nights, celebrating our honey moon. When we arrived at the hotel we were told they they did not know know about it, despite the note from out travel agent in our reservation, that they actually had before our arrival, we were told we need to show them our marriage certificate, which we did not have on us, as weren't told we had to. At first we got a room on the 6th floor, on the corner of the building, what a disaster! The room was condesated on our arrival, full of water on the walls and floor( later on when we were changing the rooms it was suggested that it was our fault as we left the balcony door open, which was not the case). Room 601, the balcony was not leveled, felt slightly uneased, same as the bathroom floor, no shower, just the bath. Plus the noise! Forget Hard Rock Cafe, they shut at 11pm, little bars, that are opened til 3am, about 15 bars in the same place, playing different, loud music! So if you want to get some decent sleep, ask for a room in the middle of the building. After that we got room 309, which we were very happy about. Nice shower(and the bath), decent size room with a king size bed. The swimming pool( and the roof bar) were closed for 4 days on our arrival, as it was raining badly. The swimming pool is okay, small though and all the cushions by the area bar smelt of damp and were exposed to the sun, when the weather got better not sure if they actually put them away during bad weather. Food in downstairs restaurant was lovely and cheap( starting at 79 baht, which is less than £2). Beer was about 80 baht, margarhjita cocktail 180 baht- lovely though). Restaurant staff, very friendly. The reception staff was helpful. We used the information by the hotel to book all our trips and events. Very helpful and friendly ladies! The offer a bike rent for 250 baht a day and car rent for 1200 baht( we did not use any of those but used taxi service many times, very professional). It takes about 25 minutes to get to Phuket, costs 500 baht one way, and about an hour to get to the airport, however when it rains, the floods are terrible, it took us once 3 hours to get to Phuket, because of the weather and traffic. We ate at different restaurants, and watch out, everyone we spoke to, that was holidaying in Thailand, had a bad stomache, so take some medicines with you, however, we run out and got more from the pharmacy, plenty of them here! The bad as well as the good thing about this hotel is its location, base in the middle of city Patong. Everytime you get out of the hotel people ask you to buy things, invite to to their restaurants, grab you to have a massage. Nearby Kata is much quieter, and has a nice beach. Patong beach is mad busy, people as you to buy stuff, have a beer, make a tatoo! Prices: Thai massage- we paid 1200 baht for two hours per person, however we went to a proper professional one, you can go to an on street one and have a 1hr foot massage, or 1hr Thai massage for 200 baht. Trip to Phi Phi island- 1600 baht per person don't go on it of you suffer from sea sickness, he journey is long on the fats boat, very rough), James Bond Island- 2000 baht per person. ATV+ Elephant riding+ Big Buddha- 1800 baht per person. Just few prices to give you rough idea, but we have done many things, all purchsed from outside the hotel. Do not go to Simon show(Lady Boy show)! What a waste of money! 800 baht per person, after the show I got money snatched out of my hands by one of them, but never than less the show itself, the clothes are nice but they pretend to sing throughout in different languages and it is just bad! Better spend more money and go to Fantasia show. Also Thai boxing, best in Phuket, do not bother with Bangla stadium! Overall we had a great honey moon! Lots of memories. Please remember that people expect a tip from you for whatever service they provide. We tipped between 20-200 baht.

A good hotel which is quite central to everything in Patong, 5min walk to patong beach, across the road is O-Top which is a mini market for shopping. Jonceylong Sopping Centre is about a 5-10min walk. Lots of Aussie Bars around lol, Bangla Rd is a 5-10min walk too. There is a tour desk just outside the hotel who can book anything you want and provide drivers for the day too.

Room - Neat, tidy room, good air con, room service is not the best though. Although they come daily I still had to buy toilet cleaners and wipe down, The mini bar is nothing great and i even watched room service cleaning once and she simply rinsed our cups placed them back. There is a lot of condensation on the tiled floor if you open the balcony door for 5 seconds with the aircon on. They are spacious rooms. However there is a bathroom window that connects the main suite and its a sliding timber divider, I didn't like that as it just was weird! :)

Room service wasn't that great. Even though it was very cheap I didn't think these issues were such a big deal.

Air Roof Top - nice pool and plenty of lounges etc. Towels provided, shower and toilets. Nice menu although they stop serving at 5pm. The highlight are the Frozen cocktails! YUMMM Service on the roof top is great.

Buffet breakfast, it felt like there wasn't much variety, by the 5 day I was over the menu. The egg station takes forever! one person providing eggs for everyone!

Reception - staff are friendly and the the doormen are lovely. Bell Boys? well they don't exists, we had to carry our luggage up and down. Reception staff did everything possible to help out.

I think if a bit more attention is put on room service with cleaning the rooms more thorough and meals being collected once finished rather than sitting on the hallway floor for 2 days this wouldn't be a bad hotel.

It is relatively new and I did think for its age it is looking a little run down. But that was ok.

I would stay here again simply for the price, location and overall the service wasn't too bad.

Room Tip: I would have preferred if there was apartments or penthouse etc, but they only have twin share or do...

The three of us arrived on Valentines Day in Feb 2012. Stayed for 4 nights, 2 king single beds and a 3rd roll out trundle. Room had a balcony, tv, air con, nice bathroom. Close to the smaller bars. Hotel is across the road from Hard Rock Cafe, a tailor and the market, with a few travel agents, beauty salons & convenience stores within 2 min walk if you need anything in a hurry. The staff at the hotel were good, although we had to ask for our room to be cleaned by Day 3 as this was not attended to until we asked. Roof top bar is EXCELLENT, spent lots of time up there having a snack or a quick drink before going out at night. All reasonably priced. They make a mighty delicious pina colada. Also, the breakfast buffet had delicious, crispy bacon. That bacon was the only thing getting me up and out of bed before 10am. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Higher floors may be affected less by the noise coming from the small surrounding bars at night.

Staffs were helpful, especially the maids at the top floor (fitness, pool and bar) was very helpful when I asked for pool towel. But the front desk staff (on Sunday 17th JUNE 2012 - 08.30 pm) who I've asked to use the shower room at fitness before leaving to the airport she replied and insisted on her answer that there aren't shower room at the fitness floor. I must be dreaming then because I did shower at the fitness floor restroom. We argued about the shower room existence for about 3-4 mins till I turned off and left the counter. I hope one day she will walk up to the 8th floor and found the shower room by herself.

Centra Ashlee Patong located 5-10 mins walk from Bang La road and Jungceylon shopping mall. The room is big and have plenty of space. Separated shower room and bathtub. Hot/cold shower with satisfied water pressure.

Hotel is a single building opposite the Hard Rock Cafe which will play live music from around 5-6pm till late and very loud! I've read all the comment about the noise from live music and asked for the room with far away from Hard Rock Cafe. The hotel staff managed me to stay in the room that more quite on the 2nd floor which face to the night market and I'm very happy with that.

Hotel has 1 swimming pool, a bit small but ok for relaxing. You can walk to Patong beach around 200-300 m. from hotel. Free wifi in room and at the roof top bar. You need 1 password for each device so if you have more than 1 device don't forget to ask more password. Internet speed is acceptable for downloading, don't expect for upload. Any photo, email which larger than 1mb will fail to upload/send.

Breakfast is ok. The Air Bar is a nice place for chill out at night and drinks are reasonable price. But if you want to save the budget you can find 7/11 store which is about 10 m. from hotel. Ice is free, take it at 3rd and 5th floor. A small fitness (gym) with 2 treadmills, 1 weight machine, a set of dumbbells (baby weight) is a good place to keep fit during your stay.

Room Tip: If you can't sleep with noisy environment, asked for the room that far from the Hard Rock Cafe s...

Checked in very late due to flight delay, informed the hotel numerous times via e-mail that our teenage daughter was sharing our room, on arrival there was no bed for her just one king size bed. ... not a good start having a grouchy teenager who just wanted to sleep. Front desk was rang twice then bed set up promptly. Rooms have been renovated so are decorated nicely, bathroom clean, balcony good size with a drying rack.. ideal for wet towels bottles of complimentary water replenished daily & rooms cleaned daily. The Hard Rock cafe didnt bother us at all as I had requested via e-mail (they got that one) that we have a room on a higher floor. I like background music & if you close the door you cant hear anything. Pool area has great views & at night the upstairs bar area is terrific to sit & enjoy a cocktail. Breakfast Buffet was good apart from them running out of eggs twice........ most people accepted that I requested they get some more as I need the protein, the manager obtained some from somewhere else 10mins later.... so if you dont ask nicely you dont get
All the staff were really nice & polite, Thai people are a really gentle bunch & always offer a smile.
Overall the hotel was comfortable, clean & in a good location far enough away from the bustle but near enough to everything.

Room Tip: If you dont like music ask for a room on the 6th floor up.. then pray there are no power failures

We chosen this hotel as the location is easy access to walk around to most of the attraction in Patong.Upon arrival, wasn't so impress as the hotel lobby is stink and the bad smell last for 2 days and no action taken. the Room is ok , modern, warm colour but i really love the balcony as is good for smoker like me.

The steam room and swimming pool at the open air roof top is standard but clean and new.no towel provided during the time we were using the facilities, besides,I had my welcome drink at the same time , the Mai tai is just sweet and could hardly taste the alcohol.
Breakfast selections is limited and food is ok and I had a lunch via room service on the final day. food arrived on time based on the time frame given and food is warm and right temperature . Phad Thai i had is a little bit too sweet for me and the green.
curry chicken is too spicy and seems like having spicy chilli chicken rather than green curry chicken. An overall satisfied , if u looking for something basic and average price with the location then this hotel might be suitable for you.
