Description: A hidden gem in Patong, Ristorante Napoli is one of the best Italian restaurants in Phuket. The place is an oasis from the craziness and noise of Patong streets and a welcomed reprieve from the usual mediocre Thai and western food that is usually found in this section of the island. A true family-run restaurant with a menu chock full of homemade recipes from Chef Paulo, the owners import many of their ingredients straight from their hometown of Salerno, Italy. The entire experience - from the atmosphere down to the food and coffee - feels as though you've been transported to an Italian grandmother's house. All of their sauces are on point and fresh (all homemade), and the friendly staff are always at the ready to provide recommendations, advice or even a funny joke! The restaurant is located just across the street from Patong Beach Road so it's perfect for anyone coming straight from the beach. From family dinners to a romantic evening or just a quick, delicious lunch, Ristorante Napoli is a true Italian experience that makes you say "mama mia!".

“Not an enjoyable dining experience and would never recommend this restaurant”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

I was really looking forward to going to this restaurant after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor.
We got there around 7pm, it was very quiet. The staff did not seem enthusiastic. Not long after we had arrived a female member of staff started verbally and physically abusing another male member of staff in the restaurant area in front of the customers.
This happened in front of the Chef and staff who did nothing.

My Partner ordered pasta sauce with crab. The sauce was nice, however the crab was just 2 small crab legs in shells hidden under the sauce, which he had to fight with to get the meat out of.

I ordered the carbonara, which was edible, but my partner makes better carbonara at home.
My friend ordered the pizza, which he enjoyed, so I can maybe recommend to order that if you decided to eat at this restaurant.

Very unhappy with the service, a few staff were ok, but did not make us feel welcome.

It feels like other reviews are talking about another restaurant following my experience, it is very strange!!!!

“Best Italian food in Patong Beach,Thailand”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

We have been to Patong Thailand for the last 3 years in a row and we always come back to this place. We visited Napoli restaurant over 10 times in the last 3 years, It has always been amazing. The food and service is fantastic, the owner Antonio and head chef are italian and together make this resturant as good as any in italy.

It is located in the centre of Patong beach off beach road a 2 second walk in the side street, easy access and location, just turn left from Bangala Road when you hit the beach

I know italian food, I am italian, born in Australia, with families that had italian restaurants in Melbourne Australia for many years and this place is one of the best. it is cheap, fish and meat dishes, pizzas, pastas and desserts are as good as my mum cooks them.

I have two kids and want to be 100% that the food we feed them is good. Antonio the owner is a typical Italian, fantastic host and service he provides is best in town. He made us traditional a typical dish from Napoli (Scappochi) which is fied pizza dough with napoli sauce, grated cheese and basil UM UM!!!!. WE WOULD RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE TO ALL.

The restaurant is very clean, airconditioned, bar service, wood oven pizzas etc. Many of my italain and Australian friends have visited this restaurant and loved it. In 2011 we ate here with some 15 people on most nights and had great time,
He also has trained Thai Chef if you wish for thai food
Thanks Antonio and his staff, we will be back

“A little piece of Italy”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

The restaurant Napoli is situated just of the Patong beach road round the corner from the Post office. This Italian restaurant surprised us with its quality and quantity of food served. The menu covered a wide range of dishes including pastas, pizza and fish, combined with a fine collection of wines. The restaurant is tastefully decorated as a little part of Italy, with nicely laid clothed tables. If you enjoy lasagne you are in for a treat. Tony and his staff are so accommodating. We ate there on four occasions trying out different dishes and not one of them disappointed. Well worth a visit.
