“Overlooking the water at sunset - gorgeous”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

The food is good too! We went there on 2 occasions a week or 2 ago whilst staying at Kalima Resort. This is just a short easy walk down the hill toward Patong. The first visit was a pleasant experience on a quiet evening. The second was delightful. We were seated downstairs overlooking the water with the sound of gentle waves on the rocks only slightly below us and a sensational view across the bay. gentle breeze coming off the water made it completely comfortable. Fans built in but I suspect seldom needed. The food is mostly genuine Thai, with many locals eating here (always a good sign). The prices were very reasonable and wine can be ordered for little more than it costs in the supermarkets (still $30 ish per bottle) We had splendid tempura prawns - light and perfectly cooked and a great (spicy) green curry. Thoroughly recommend the venue at a modest price. Kalima guests especially - don't miss it!

“A word to the wise....Watch your weight.”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Have been here many many times, but the last time will be the last time.
The views and the atmosphere are great, however the rest is poor to average with a few exceptions. The food is not as good as it could be and prices are not cheap.
If you order fresh crab, prawns, or fish watch it being weighed or pay the price they tell you it was. 50% inaccuracy is the norm not the exception.

I was presented with what looked like a large sardine instead of the White Snapper we had ordered. "How much did this weigh" I asked. "800grams" was the answer. The fish was at most 300grams so I requested it to be weighed again.

Surprisingly in the short trip back to the kitchen I was informed that the same fish had lost 250 grams and was now only 550grams! It should have got a place on Asians Biggest Loser.....Imagine those contestants losing 30% of their weight in the space of 25 meters!

This is not a one-off, so if you don't want to be ripped off, watch it being weighed......

“Great view, good food and inexpensive”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Our party of six enjoyed a table adjacent to the ocean and had a lovely, uninterrupted view over the bay towards Patong Beach. Service was not bad considering how busy the restaurant was on the evening we visited.
We ordered a lot of food! Tiger prawns were terrific, crab was sweet, fish was heavenly. Prawns baked in glass noodles were delicious, and the green curry and massaman were as good as any we've had anywhere. The wine selection is limited but very good value compared to anywhere else.
We're already planning a second trip with family this coming weekend ...

“Great view, good prices and decent Thai food”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

The view is wonderful, try to book a table in the lower floor close to the water. Good value for money, book in advance to ensure best tables. Green curry with shrimps was excellent.
