“A great experience, and a great meal ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

We went as a group of 8 aged 8 to 70. The cooking kitchen is only made for 6 however Pum and her team handled this expertly and no one felt left out. We enjoyed the lesson in Thai food and culture as well as the cooking class. We did the MiniMee class, the whole experience took about 2 hours and cost approx $180 for the group. We will definitely cook the dishes we learned again and bought the larger cook book. I strongly recommend this school for any cooking level

“PUM- what a great gem in Patong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

If in Phuket- Pum is a great place to start experimenting with and tasting Thai food. We were in Thailand for 15 days and ate at Pum five times. We were staying in Karon but were happy to travel to Patong just to have a meal here. Our children aged 8and 11 loved the food and the restaurant. They enjoyed the chicken satay, fried cashews and vegetables, garlic beef and of course the heavenly yellow mango with the sticky rice. My husband and I enjoyed the green curry ( light and not overly creamy), the fried noodles with the prawn omelette and the herb salad. We even met Pum herself as she worked in the kitchen and patiently showed a budding chef how to properly clean and slice mango. The restaurant itself is quite stylish with beautiful plates, glasses, wall gardens of plants, cute seats with orange cushions placed on them as you sit down. Overall this restaurant is highly recommended for its delicious Thai food, friendly staff, beautiful decor and of course Pum to greet you on return visits. This restaurant is a must for all in Phuket.

Thank you for your comments about our food. Our curries are lighter than many for this reason, Thai food should not be heavy and you should still feel 'light' when you finish your meal. Also because the food is designed to be shared many of the recipes are designed to complement each other. Hope to see you again on your next visit to Patong!

“Exciting and fun cooking lesson, great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

This was a great cooking lesson. There was just a small group of us and we each made our own dishes and then sat down together to eat what we'd made. Our teacher was enthusiastic and fun and the food was delicious!

“Pum Thai Cooking School”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

My friend and I ad a wonderful experience being taught to cook 3 dishes of our choice. My friend is a coeliac so she was rapt to be able to cook things that she could enjoy. Wonderful staff (we think we were taught by Pum herself). Very clean and you get to eat your creations in the restuarant. Very reasonable price and will go again next time we are in Phuket.

“Simple authentic Thai”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013 via mobile

We ate at Pums twice while in Patong. Price was great and the food was even better. After a few bad meals in Patong, we returned to Pums for dinner as you could trust it to be safe and clean. Highly recommend Cashew Chicken and the mango sticky rice and banana coconut milk desserts. Would definitely return.
