I travelled with my husband and friends so there was four of us in two separate rooms, Upon arrival we were given a cocktail, which was a great way to check in. We had booked the deluxe m room and the rooms were large with plenty of room. We stayed at the Casa del m for 2 weeks. I can only say that yes it is a fair distance from the main partying spots but a good walk and it was an experience to manoeuvre past the parked cars and bikes, from the hotel you can either book with the hotel to go into Patong as they depart 4 times daily or you can just walk down to the end of the street and get a tuk tuk for no more than 200bht. The staff at the Casa del m were very hospitible and friendly thanks Bebe, Kevin, & Tuk also to Ryan.house keeping was alway done but not always to a perfect clean, if you wan a DVD player make sure you request one upon arrival as they are limited. The language barrier can be a problem so just talk slowly and make sure that they understand what you are saying to avoid any disappointment or confusion. There is a large variety for breakfast and if you want eggs cooked in a certain way just ask the chief and he will cook them to your liking. At the top of the hill just straight up the road from the hotel there is a Resturant call Number 6 and the meals and views are fantastic also ask the hotel to call them and book and if they can they will send a car down to pick you up as it is a hard walk there but an easy walk down the hill, just don't wear heals of any sort flats are fine. Tiger kingdom was a great experience but depending on what Tigers you want to cuddle with will determine the cost. We also did Fantasy show and that was great it kept us guessing and in you will find that it has a story line to the show, Phi Phi island was nice but way too over crowded and no longer a tropical island it's just so commercialised now compared to 10 years ago its such a shame but the island speedboat tour was still a fun experience for sites to see. We also did the temples and Elephant ride, when you go on these sorts of tours it would be advisable to take some extra cash to give to the locals as they use it towards the food for the Elephants some of the trainers are a crack up and very entertaining too. It was nice to go to the beach and just relax but if you are going to do this in Patong I would advise that you get there early as the beach on hotter days gets very crowded and quite dirty due to no rules of take your rubbish with you when you leave. We came into patong for the thai boxing and to see the entertainment in the main street it was always go go and a laugh and a half, be careful when you go and see a ping pong show as its free to get in but your drinks are costly still it was something that we all had to do just for the experience. Most of all just kick back and relax enjoy your holiday and try to experience as much as you possibly can.

Room Tip: We changed from the hills view to the beachfront view both rooms are spacious 5 floor was great for views 2nd floor is we're the pool is in the new section of the hotel and the rooms also looked great. The night views are amazing.

I have read the other reviews from guests-i find it is how you interact will dictate how you are treated, like anywhere if you give respect you get respect-they are people also!!!!
we loved our stay the staff at breakfast where great particularly NUN,BEBE,KEVIN and The Cooks all of them where fabulous every day they made us eggs to order and they were perfect.
we stayed 10 days and really enjoyed our stay, it is on the hill but if you can ride motorbikes grab
a mo ped from the front desk for 300THB per day or they have a shuttle five times daily.
Our cleaner NUK was Honest humble and kind.
I would recommend this hotel to my Aussie friends.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms in the new main building would be our recommendation.Amazing

first off, the hotel itself is fine, its a nice hotel located on this hill side with great view.

BUT!!!

the hotel staff and facilities are far below the standard of even a guest house ( except the breakfast staff thank you tuk, bebe, kevin, and the rest. if it wasnt for you i would have checked out early)

The Taxis out side were the worst of all, the harassed me to go on a day tour with them, after i said no about 1 hundred times my partner got suckered into going on a 5 hour tour. we were told we could go where ever we want for 5 hours. our taxi driver i dont know his name but he was a little guy, refused to stop at the waterfalls we wanted to goto, he refused to go to the gibbon rehabilitation centre without paying him twice the fair we agreed on. he forced us to eat lunch at a restaurant that was WAY OVERPRICED the bill for 2 of us was almost 2000 baht. and he stopped at a jewelry store and refused to leave until we went in, agian way overpriced jewelry. when we got out and told him we did not buy anything he was very unpleasnt with us and drove back to the hotel.

i think the taxis are a SCAM and i WILL report them to the appropriate authorities.

we also booked a trip to Phi Phi Island, the lady behind the counter(who also works in the spa) would not give any discounts as was very rude. the very next day my partner went down and booked all the trips for 50% less with an American guy in the lobby.

Also we received free massages in our package and the spa was conveniently closed for 3 days while we tried to get our free massages. no massages :-(

i feel a hotel as nice as this should really try to raise the standard and not try to rip off guests for taxis and tours.

Room Tip: fifth floor rooms have great views

At first sight we we weren't sure that we had done the right thing booking this resort, but after the first day we thought it was a great place to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned everyday by Kad who did a great job. It's quiet. Bed is a little hard, but it didn't stop us from sleeping. We took the free shuttle everyday and walked back. It's approx 20 mins to the Jungceylon shopping centre. Once the shuttle was full so we were taken in one of their private cars. Could only access wifi in the lobby. Breakfast wasn't the best I've ever but the eggs were fantastic. Morning staff Bee Bee, Kevin, Took Took and Nun at breakfast were great, always helpful and friendly especially Bee Bee who went out of his way to make us feel welcomed.
