Lots of authentic Thai food here!
The Thai ice milk tea is especially tasty.

Definitely worth a trip if you're in the vicinity!

Went to this place after reading reviews on ta. as previously stated it is,a little hard to find but well worth it. My family and I went by motor bike which was not a problem at all. as far as getting there, the best way I can describe it you head towards the tiger kingdom from patong. As you get over a hill or 2 you will pass sea pearl resort and spa on the left. Go down a little further you will see a family mart. veer left just after the family mart. There is a sign there and another a couple of hundred meters on. Then up a steep hill and you are there. As for the food, my daughter had a marinated chicken breast and chips, the chicken just melted in your mouth. The rest of the family also loved there meals. All for around $20 for 4 people. wonderful owner/cook Poo was so friendly, well worth the effort to get there. Enjoy!

We came here on the advise of other TripAdvisor ratings and thank you for the recommendations as we had a beautiful lunch. A lovely open air restaurant with the best authentic Thai food we have found in the area so far and a wonderful host. The food is very reasonably priced and we will definitely be returning here before we leave Patong.

Poo's is high up, a short drive from the middle of Patong - the drive was interesting as we had never been to the suburbs before, especially hanging on to the front half of a tuk tuk. We arranged for the driver to wait for us (at his suggestion) but in fact you will be offered a ride back by the restaurant. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Poo herself, who is a friendly and caring hostess. The meal was plentiful and cheap, the beer cold, and the view great. On the evening we four went, we were her only customers, the downside of being off the beaten track. (That's the reason for a low score for atmosphere). Poo explained that she and her Mum had had a successful restaurant on the main drag, Beach Rd. until the tsunami wiped it out. They found other premises, but were forced out when the owners decided to develop the land to build a hotel. Poo and her family decided enough was enough, and now has the restaurant on her own land, so she cannot be forced to move again. I would urge you to hire a tuk tuk and take a ride up to Poo's for the genuine hospitality, the good cheap food, and the view. You will be pleasantly surprised.

This is an open air restaurant up a 45 degree ramp off the main road.

The food is reasonably priced (150 baht for 6 bbq prawns) and delicious. We ordered the tom yum goong twice! The steamed fish with minced pork was alsp memorable but I would skip the pad thai and green curry chicken.

Khun Poo and her team are friendly and will go out of their way to make you comfortable. Rings of mosquito coils under the tables should suffice and they offered bug spray too.

When they ran out of coconut juice, no problem! Khun Poo grabs a knife and hacks off a couple of coconuts from the tree at the restaurant entrance. Can't get any fresher than that!

They have no baby chairs but a bar stool worked for our toddler.

They are clean and this extends to their bathrooms, which we appreciate very much.

Its best to get here for a couple of drinks or dinner even at sunset. The view is spectacular at this height.

Do note that not all drivers can find this place so keep the phone number off TripAdvisor handy.

We stayed in Karon and were pleased to eat here.
