Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket
Ranked #64 of 328 Hotels in Patong
Reviewed June 14, 2012

Upon first arriving the resort appears to be beautiful with lovely water features throughout, almost parquetry style glossy floor tiles and large well maintained grounds/gardens. It's located quite a way from the main beach of Patong (and the noisy partying crowds) but the hotel supplies an hourly shuttle bus there so was perfect for us as a couple. On our first day they even held the shuttle bus for us when we arrived so we could get the first available one to town.
It all went downhill from there... We had a couple of days of heavy rain and quickly discovered the floor tiling and water features were a death trap. The high gloss tiles are extremely slippery in the wet and my wife nearly fell more times than we could count. I walked into the rear lobby which had the lights dimmed and fell through a gap in the floor where the "parquetry" style floor combined with the water feature to open in to large cracks along the floor that couldn't be seen with the lighting. Although no broken bones it was close and could barely walk for over a day. Apart from offering to drive me to the hospital there was no other assistance or follow up from the staff. We were expecting that the management would be concerned and follow up but not so much as even a question when we checked out.
After the first night when our room was made up the housekeepers through out some of our belongings and brought back their rubbish bags to our rooms for us to go through and find, then the second day they didn't make up our room at all.
The hotel restaurant was also a let down. The breakfast was quite good and over-staffed, although they have a shortage of tables and ran out one morning. So over staffed that you're almost hovered over by someone waiting to pick up after you (you can't even place down a paper napkin without it being swooped upon). Some may see this as good service, but it was a little over the top. The dinner however was understaffed and sloppy. We were one of only 4 tables seated for dinner and the staff commented they were too busy and it took almost an hour for our meals to be served.
I'm normally really easy going and never have complained about a hotel before. I actually usually see little ups and downs as part of the adventure of travelling and have been to Asia many times so know what to expect. I have to say however that I was very disappointed in this resort which was supposed to be a bit of luxury and indulgence for us. We generally found the staff to be a bit disinterested and unorganised and simply couldn't believe there was no follow up go getting injured on their property.

We stayed at Phuket Sea Pearl villas from 6-9th June which was an awesome treat for us as a newly married couples. This resort was located at the High hills 15 mins away from the Patong beach. The limousine was waiting for us at the airport upon our arrival at Phuket due to we had already booked this resort online 1 week before departure.Excellent service provided by their staffs especially the pretty girls at the reception.Eventhough some of them were not good in speaking english but we still appreciate their good service. We booked a deluxe room with jacuzzi (realy romantic).Almost everyday was heavy rain but we still enjoyed our Honeymoon at the Sea Pearl Villas. There were free shuttle bus service provided every 1 hour to Patong Beach until 8pm at night.Their American Breakfast was nice too.Again, we wish to thank Sea Pearl Villas for such a good treat and wonderfull enviroment. Will definitely get back to this resort again.

Room Tip: Deluxe room with Jacuzzi was awesome!

We stayed in this resort from 5-9 Jun for four nights in Deluxe Suite 1 bedroom. We got the complimentary transporation by the resort due to 3 nights or above stay, at first we couldn't see the pick up driver outside the airport which made us a bit worry, then we called to the resort and then finally the driver made it and drove us to the resort for around 35-45 mins.

We were warmly welcome by the reception with the welcome drink and cold towels. The reception staff really look like trainees like other reviews said, but we can feel their passion by serving us thus this is not a problem and no matter what I really don't need the service like business hotel does. Spent around 10 mins to check in and finally they drove us to our room. The receptionist introduced the room in detail to us which was a nice work including the jacuzzi. I stayed in room E204 ehich got a good view over the patong city area including seaview! The down side is after the receptionist left, we found out our room actual is a connecting room and we could open the door to the other room which just checked out and not yet locked it up! We called to the reception immediately and 5 mins later the staff locked it and problem solved.

There is only a restaurant by serving breakfast and all day dining till 12am, the restaurant for me is good got simple western style like ham, bacon, self service toast, salad, Thai style fried noodles, rice and congee etc. A few choices of fruit juice and coffee is available. The buffet table did not have egg but you may direct order with the waitor/waitress. We also tried 2 times eating during night time, the Pad-Thai, Caesar Salad and the tenderloin steak is really good! We tried other 2 times room service which serving same food with higher price, a night we ordered the room service at around 00:30 but the food only came at 01:15 but we were starving.

Back to the room, overall is good with a comfortabl bed but the TV channels were not the same as on the channel list underneath the TV. Down side is too many light switch which really made us a bit confuse.

The free transfer to the Jungcelyon is okay but will be better if available until late since the last one depart from resort is 20:00. The last one go back to resort is 20:10, afterwards you have to take Tuk Tuk back.

Upon check out we requested a changing room at 14:30 since we went to the beach in morning time. Finally they gave us another vacant room for taking shower and changing clothes which was really impressive and out of my expectation.

We were having a good time in this resort as actually we did not have too many requests or demanding, as mentioned before, you may not expect an extremely luxury service but do a friendly, comfortable one with smile. The resort got good hardwares and will definitely become a famous brand if much attentive service is provided.

To Sea Pearl Villas Resort, thank you very much for all the staff including from reservation period, keep going and we had a good time in your place!

Room Tip: To take Tuk Tuk back, the range we bargained is THB 200-250, they usually gave you THB 300 at the ve...

I didn't stay at Sea Pearl but I came to visit my friend who stayed at the pool villa here. It's more than my expectation. We can walk directly to the pool from the balcony! I love the landscape, there's so many trees and flowers. The pool in front of club house is quiet and there's also separate male and female sauna. The Spa is really beautiful but I don't have a chance to try any treatment yet. I love its location, very outstanding, few minutes away from noisy patong beach with free shuttle service to the beach every hour. For sure, I will stay here for my next family vacation!

Sea Pearl Is the first hotel you pass by when u enter patong province..thus its atop a hilly area and the air is sooo fresh..we flew in on a morning flight and when we arrived, our rooms were not ready as yet.so no biggie with us as we were served with welcome drinks n nice refreshing cold towels.we chill out at the pool area for 15mins and were taken to our room via a golf cart.the receptionist,Na(if im not mistaken) took us thorough the check in and she was so detailed that she even recommended us some places that didnt serve pork(seeing that we did indicate in our reservation that we didnt consume pork). Our room was a jacuzzi room and it was breath taking!! The view at night was to die for..we choose a higher floor of course and we could view the whole town area with the endless horizon of the sea..Breakfast was brilliant!!! The spread was spectacular!! I have absolutely no problem with eating my breakfast with the hotel staffs as there were plenty of food to go around and the chef kept cming up at regular intervals to check if the food was enough and everything was in check.Plus the staff has done a fantastic job that i dont mind it at all!!! The guards work round the clock and always greeted us with a huge smile even when we came back in the wee hrs of the mrg.we didnt request for our room to be made up(my fiance prefers cleaning up after our mess) and housekeeping even left a note to notify us that if we had forgetten to requeat for room make up.Overall it was a fantastic stay and thank you sea pearl for making my journey to Phuket,a spectacular one.I will definitely be back for more:)

It's the best choice for a vacation, they picked us up in a Mercedes Bens which were very comfortable and louxurious, plus to mention the friendly driver. It's located on a hill just few minutes from the main city with a fantastic view. We stayed in a private pool villa which had an indoor jacuzzi that we liked very much, it was the best room setup out of all resorts we've been. The rooms are well maintained which follows their 5 star service. It was the first time I had Thai food and it was very delicious plus to mention international dishes were very tasty also. We would like to complement the owners for such a great layout and thank all staff for their kind hospetality. We will definitely be back. Thanks!!!

Room Tip: The private pool villas are definitely our choice but am sure the suite and deluxe rooms would be a...
