“Good location”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

The hotel is located at the end of a busy Soi full of restaurants, massage parlors, and other vendors, so getting a vehicle down to the front entrance can pose a challenge from late morning onwards. If you have a lot of luggage and cant carry it very far, you may have some issues.

Excellent location, less than a 5 minute walk to patong beach and close to bangla road. Hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. They are able to book tours for you right at the front desk. Housekeeping kept my room very clean, and it was so convenient to have the mini bar fully stocked with both soft drinks and beer priced the same as a convenience store! Breakfast was decent and well priced.

It's a newer hotel and they've used a "modern" design. I stayed in a superior balcony room, and there were windows from the open-concept bathroom into the bedroom. However, there were blinds to pull down and a full length door for privacy, so I didn't have an issues with the setup. It could be that some other room types are not the same, and I did request a more private bathroom when I made the reservation.

You can tell that either the hotel was constructed very quickly, or they chose very cheap materials. For example, the paint on the ceiling in the lobby is peeling away in large, noticeable chunks, and the flooring/stairs are pretty beat up already. Positive note was that these issues are recognized: we saw the staff attempting to repair the ceiling and fix some drywall while we were there.

The 6 of us stayed 2 night back in November 2012. We reserved 3 rooms of the same type, but 2 rooms were upgraded.

Located at the end of a long alley filled with a bunch of small massage parlors, a few restaurants and shops. Easy walking distance to Patong Beach and Bangla road.

Small, modern and cool looking hotel. Comfortable bed, clean linens and towels. Convenient coffee making facility and refrigerator available in the room filled with mini bar items priced the same as if you bought them yourself at the Seven Eleven store near by. Good air conditioning. Reasonably priced (breakfast not included with our rate). Efficient & friendly service.

However the quality of materials used in the building is not that strong. The rolling blinds that act as the shower curtain for the bath tub in our room fell down 3 times (twice on its on, when no one was actually touching it or rolling it up/down!). The sink faucet in the bathroom of another bath room suddenly popped completely off and water sprayed out completely drenching my friend who was washing her hand and totally flooding the floors of the room. (it was really funny to see actually, but not so good in terms of hotel quality).

These are the Pros and Cons of the Hotel -
Pros:
1) The hotel is within a lane which is infront of Patong beach - though the beach is not visible from the hotel
2) Hotel has good TV, nice Air-con and good hot shower
Cons:
1) The rooms are very small and I started feeling claustrophobic after sometime
2) The staffs are not very helpful - refused to give us normal drinking water on request

Room Tip: Take a room with a balcony

This hotel is located at a prime location near both the beach and the infamous bangla road! I really enjoyed my stay there, with bunches of Italian restaurants in vicinity and also Ella, a good place for either breakfast & chilling at night.

The service was good and attentive, i had a problem with my air conditioner once, and the receptionist was truly helpful to repair it immediately. The breakfast menu ranges from american & thai breakfast, which i found were decent though. There is also a small swimming pool at the back of the hotel, but didn't use it anyway...

This was a very convenient and clean place to stay in Patong. Just a short walk from the beach, restaurants and everything else. There are some cool little places to eat and drink on the alley. Ella openend recently, and seems like a nice place to relax for breakfast or a drink. The area is a bit noisy, but that's Patong, and the hotel is in the center of the block, so it's as removed from the crazy noise at night as possible. The hotel itself can be a little noisy, as you can hear other rooms' doors open and close and people moving through the central stair.

The room was a bit small, but that was fine. Watch out of the "see-through" rooms that have only a glass partition between the sleeping area and the bathroom. These are really only suitable for a single person, or a couple that's very VERY comfortable with each other.

Room Tip: Only pick a see through room if you are very very comfortable with the person you're staying wit...

We enjoyed our stay at Belle however were a bit shocked when we walked into our room which didn't have a window. This might not bother everyone but it did bother us. The hotel did not seem very busy so it would have been nice to be offered another room but perhaps they didn't have anything else in the category we paid for. Saying this the hotel has a great location being only a minutes walk from the beach and many great restaurants on the street as well as very close by. It is also very close to Bangla road (only 2 blocks away) and Jungceylon shopping centre (5-10 mins walk). The pool wasn't worth going in but this didn't bother us. The mini bar was as cheap as 7eleven. We didn't eat at the restaurant so cant comment on that. The Internet was free and worked perfectly. Room was comfortable with good air con and shower and the staff seemed friendly. Also we would highly recommend S & G Restuarant located on the same street for a cheap good quality meal from people who aren't pushy in any way.

Room Tip: Ask for a window or balcony!!!

I wont say its value for money because in same price range there are plenty of other hotels available. The hotel is rather small with almost no Lobby. But the rooms are good with small balcony to the room and the room experience is fairly ok. Free wifi works out in the street also as the hotel happens to be in the street tucked away from the main road. but a short walking distance to the Bangla road makes up for it. Beach is just about 3 minutes walk and the coconut water in the morning at the beach refreshes you like anything. Staff understands very little english, so thats a negative point.
The moment you come out of the hotel, you have massage parlours (good ones) and small eateries. A clay oven Pizzeria in the same street is very popular (although i couldnt try because of time shortage)
Overall an average experience.
