We stayed at this hotel several years ago and found a special discounted rate on or most recent visit. The rooms had been remodeled but not really sure what had changed. The breakfast buffet is OK. There are freshly cooked eggs and a variety of other items. They were a little slow restocking some of the food so if you like to eat late you might be out of luck. Its a convenient location and a nice walk to shopping. We were in off season and had a discounted rate. Their high season rates at 3X would be too much to spend here. The front desk folks were average; they certainly didn't go out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The resort is located on one of the main roads in Patong, nicely away from the action a little bit but not far enough to be an issue. The hotel itself was clean and staff were friendly.

The Resort had quite a few families staying there (why you would take your family to Patong is a mystery however, go anywhere else on the island if you have kids), so don't expect a big party hotel.

When we arrived we were disappointed with our room. We were 3 blokes and booked a 2 bedroom villa. The room was advertised as 'one master bedroom with king sized bed and a twin bedded room'. The images show two single beds in one room and a kind size bed in the other. Turns out that both rooms have a kingsize bed in them. The website is, at a minimum misleading, if not outright incorrect. They gave us a 'free' trundle bed which was more comfortable that the permanent beds. Other people we spoke to also said their beds were extremely hard.

The hotel looks nothing like the photos on the website. Clearly they have photoshopped in the colours etc to make it look more attractive.

The happy hour was great though being able to relax in the afternoon with a 85baht cocktail.

For the price we paid, the hotel was ok, but would probably try somewhere else next time.

We stayed in Patong for about a week during our Thailand trip. The area itself has become very touristy and the sex trade has become massive, so just keep that in minding when heading to Patong.

The hotel itself was a lovely little retreat from the hustle and bustle of central Patong, yet close enough to walk to all the main attractions in Patong (Banzaan Food Market, Bangla Road, Jungceylon, Otop Patong and hundreds of stalls and small shops are all within walking distance).

The rooms were very clean and well made up and even at 3 star you do get the sense of living in a small semblance of luxury! Bathrooms were clean and the rooms made up to their original state every morning.

The staff (though initially a bit weary of us), warmed up to us very quickly when they saw we were attempting some basic Thai greetings and conversation and helped us IMMENSELY with organising tours in and around Phuket. The lady at the tourism desk handled all our planning and got us amazing discounts on tours and transport.

The breakfast was amazing, offering a huge range of both Western and Thai foods. The bar area (though a bit expensive) was very nice and a regular retreat for us after a long day of exploring! The pool area was also well maintained and clean.

All in all we had a lovely stay at the Palmyra. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were of good quality and overall the hotel is well maintained and very well located if you are aiming for the Patong night life!

Room Tip: We chose a room away from the pool area, overlooking the astroturf. Granted some peach+quiet as the...

This was the worst hotel I stayed in Thailand and if you plan to stay here expect to see a hotel that looks nothing like the website, and a major rip off for what you get for the room and amenities. Worst house keeping service - they did not clean the floor all 3 days I stayed here and barely emptied the trash. They bang on your door if you ask for any toiletries and act like that is acceptable behavior. There is no real concierge and they charged me way above the going rate for one of the tours that I decided to book through the hotel. Hot water is not hot enough. No bell boy to take your things to the room unless you want the frail desk clerk to drag your suitcases upstairs. There were no dialing instructions on the phone, even for the operator, and the worst internet service (sloooooooow). No sheets on the bed and terrible hard mattress to sleep on, and the loud AC will keep you up all night. I was REALLY disappointed with this choice.

We stayed at the Palmyra Patongg from 2/3/2013 for two weeks and we had a wonderful time and can't wait to return. From the moment we arrived we were treated with courtesy and respect by everyone from the little man at the gate to the receptionist and the cleaners and even the man who cleaned the pool. The hotel is about 80 yards from the main road where there are bars serving food massage shops and money exchange and much more. You can even have your washing.
and ironing done for a few hundred baht. Just unpack and hang up when you get home. We had superior rooms and they were very spacious and spotless .There is a small bar but it is only open until 9.30pm. The bar staff and the restaurant staff are charming and can't do enough for you. They also have a wonderful sense of humour and are great fun. One smile from you will be returned a hundredfold.
I recommend you try the restaurant the food is excellent and very reasonable and the service you receive is very good and a lady called Wan will take excellent care of you.
This hotel is quiet so you get a good nights sleep but if you want to party the night away you are only 15 minutes walk away from all the nightlife or 200baht in a tut tut.

Great resort. Clean and well maintained. Buffet breakfast was incredible - very delicious and many options. The pool was stunning and best part was it was just a short walk to the stunning beach and the even more stunning Bangla Road lol

We stayed here for 10 nights and it was great! We stayed in a Surperior room, surprisingly it was very spacious and a perfect size for us. We were travelling with our 1yr old daughter and the hotel was pram friendly which is always a plus. Pool and gardens are nice and clean, all of the staff were so lovely and helpful (especially to out daughter). The hotel is at the end of a 300 metre drive way so it's nice and quiet and only about 15min walk to Patong beach and shopping centre. We did eat (only Thai food) and drink a lot at the hotel and it was great value for money, even a bit cheaper than restaurants. I would highly recommended this hotel for families and couples and would stay here again!

Room Tip: Superior was great but wish we had booked a pool access.
