Rooms are a good size, ours had a balcony overlooking the pool which was a lovely spot for a morning coffee. The pool is large and clean, with a pool bar that served drinks and snacks.
The property was clean, and the room was well stocked with towels and amenities, two free bottles of water each day, with extra water and a mini bar (with soft drinks and beer) available to purchase. The bed was quite firm, and the pillows hard, but we had a good sleep, generally very quiet.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, though their English was quite minimal - they coped fine with easy requests, but I think would have struggled with anything complex.
We didn't think the quality of the food was very good overall. The breakfast buffet has a large range, but fairly average quality. We only ate at the restaurant once, the the international cuisine was poor. The steak was dry, served with barely cooked frozen veg. Dahl and roti was OK, but not great quality for the price - more like I would expect in a suburban food hall.
We attended the (compulsory cost) New Year's Eve dinner by the pool. They had gone to a lot of effort to set up decorations, buffet etc, but the night fell a bit flat. I don't think the entertainment was really targeted at their audience - quite repetitive traditional Thai music/dancing - which was lovely at first, but became all the same after a while.
The location is very handy - about 10-15 walk to the beach, where there are some great restaurants right on the sand. Also about 10-15 mins walk to Bangla Rd and the JungCeylon shopping centre which has a great range of restaurants as well as shopping.

Overall, a great place, but their food lets them down. We also think their staff could use better communication skills to cope with their international guests.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool.

This was a very nice hotel! Centrally located, great pool, nice, clean rooms and very friendly service. This would be a nice place for everyone, even those on a budget can find a decent deal at Sawaddi Patong.

When we arrived, there was a little notice board outside the entrance - with our names on it welcoming us to the Resort. That was special. And as we walked inside, we were greeted with a refreshing drink and a wet towel. It was as if they had been expecting us. Check in was seamless. Every single member of staff, from the receptionists, the guys carrying our bags, the people at the restaurant, etc - were on their "A game" just pure exceptional. They were welcoming and helpful. The rooms are lovely and spacious. We were provided with free WIFI for the duration of our stay. Access to the gym was also provided. I definitely recommend Sawaddi Patong Resort & Spa. It is truly money well spent.

We checked in on 21st Dec and had pre booked our stay in Sawaddi Patong in Oct itself. We stayed here for 4 nights and the stay was comfortable. Sawaddi Patong is a small cosy Hotel located just few mins walk from the shopping areas of Patong and Bangla Street. The Rooms were spacious and clean. The pool is well maintained with a poolside bar. Staff was helpful and polite.Breakfast spread could have been better and the management needs to work on the same considering customer taste. The Hotel also has a in house SPA and the SPA staff was excellent in their work. Patong beach is at a walking distance and takes around 10-15 mins to reach. Local Taxi or tuk tuk charge around 150-200 Baht for Patong Beach drop.Overall its a complete value for money Hotel. Ideal for Family Stay.

Room Tip: Do opt for Pool Facing Rooms on higher Floor.

This was my second trip to the Sawaddi Patong Resort and Spa Hotel - its a great little hotel tucked away just off the main busy areas of Patond Beach - which is a short 10 minute walk away. Clean rooms - very good staff / food - and excellent service - all at the right price - also a nice pool and poolside bar.I will go back there on my next visit to Patong Beach - and have no problem recommending this hotel
