Very good hotel with cheap prices. We got a room on the first floor at first but asked to have a different room because it was quite noisy down there. Staff was very easy and transferred us to a upstairs room without any problems. That room was very good! Soft pillows!

Great place to stay, clean tidy rooms right in the heart of Phuket. Short stroll to anywhere that you would care to go. Handy bar cafe in the arcade behind and awesome massage as well. This was probably the best of the cheaper accommodation that we stayed in when travelling all over SE Asia.

Room tip: Any room is good as you are back from the main road in a dead end lane. Quiet at night.

I have stayed here several times. It is absolutely safe ,immaculately clean and employs a very friendly staff. It is 50M to beach and 4 blocks from the Walking Street Soi Bangla. Surrounded by markets , restaurants and peace in what is a fun town.
I tell people to forget the Marriott and Chain hotels. They separate you from the people. Stay here where there are not purchased smiles and courtesy is part of their DNA.
On this visit I became quite ill. Poi at the front desk, who recalls me from my yearly visits, immediately called an ambulance, and then stayed with me and helped notify relatives and secured my room. I found out later it was not the first time the hotel had helped sick guests.
While in Patong don't rent a moped, beware of jet ski scams..."this was not damaged before" is a favorite line, and look both ways before crossing the street.
You must do a few tours. In my experience I call the tour directly or if you buy from a street vendor be sure to get multiple quotes. For the same New Years Eve party quotes ranged for 1000THB (~35 USD) to 3500THB. So bargain like your life depends on it.
The Zip line comes in 3 varieties. Take option B.

Tour the Andaman sea by fast speedboat. They are 16M and hold about 30. I always tip getting on and get great seating and extra attention.
The Rai Island tour is simple and there are many families snorkeling.
Don't miss Fantasea. I am not sure how to describe it. Get the dinner option as the food is good.
Stroll down Soi Bangla...to see some of the more unusual events as a couple try do it separated by 15 feet. Both of you will meet many interesting people and can talk about it over dinner.
Try Number six restaurant. I believe the name comes from when the owner got well known on the local street scene restaurant he took his number with him. There are a few copies...you want the one with picnic tables on Soi Ratuthit.
Your day should start and end at Smile Inn.

Room tip: Third floor rooms are quieter.

I am letting the secret out about this little gem, its smack bang in the heart of Patong but away from the crazy that is Patong. The rooms are very clean, cleaned daily by the most friendly staff, the price is just brilliant and affordable for all, the WIFI works but did drop out a bit - but nothing you cannot deal with.

The location is a block from Bangla, but its tucked away in a very quiet alley way that is surrounded by VERY affordable restaurants and massage places - good proper massages.

Great stay for those on a budget with shopping, partying or over night stays in mind - but for those seeking the resort styled trip this place wouldn't be for you.

We didn't make a reservation but walked in off the street and was shown a lovely large room which we accepted. However, when we returned with our luggage, the room had been taken and we were offered a much smaller one, so we only stayed for 2 nights. Good location for beach, shopping and night life. Room very clean and cleaned daily. Also, it is next to probably one of the best restaurants in Patong, Sweets.
