Unfriendly

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 31, 2011
We stayed here for 7 nights in a jaccuzi suite. The jaccuzi was never cleaned and it had slime growing on the paving around it so we never even used it . People in the room on either side and above you are looking at you if we did use it. The staff were not friendly at all which is supprising for Thailand. The breakfast was terrible. the trays were empty and you had to clean your own table as they only had 1 staff member for 20 tables.

This motel was in a very convenient position in Patong without the noise and smell. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were tidied every day and water left every morning. Breakfast was more than adequate. I suppose the only thing I could complain about was that the air conditioning was a bit loud to sleep with but that just sounds pickie. The motel was in a great postition, near everything minus the noise. It was a little overpriced but almost worth it. Would recommend this place to others.

we arrived after a late transfer having booked blind with an agent in pattaya. the drive through phuket into Patong horrified us as we had wanted a quiet peaceful end to our trip. Patong is not a place for peace and quiet and was everything that you can expect of lager louts on holday that said, the hotel was as advertised, and it wasnt their fault that our agent had missold us.

The new section of the hotel is the one to stay in, its at the rear, ask for it when you book, otherwise the building at the front is dated and noisy as inconsiderate guests don't know how to keep quiet when coming home late. Staff are good and friendly, but don't expect too much, its just a Thai thing. I would stay there again, however choose not too because as a frequent traveller and repeat customer, if the rate is not reduced in commensurate with similar hotels, I flick them, its a principal thing, return business and word of mouth is imperative to me, any ways a good hotel, 3 out of 5, has a pool, balcony, etc etc and is located centrally to everything, yet far away enough from noisy Bangla Road.

Stay in the Junior Suite. Overall, it is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.

Went there with my husband, because of the ok price, ok location and the private Jacuzzi.

Check in at around 2230hrs, due to delayed flight. The hotel was clean and tidy and the receptionist was polite. Quick check-in and the security brought us to our room 2601, on the 6th floor. The room was clean and everything looks fine. Shower and toilet are separate rooms. No bathrobes or alarm clock.

As my main focus was the private Jacuzzi, the 1st thing I did was to check it out. Big disappointment. The tub was dirty (with bugs and tiny black particulars), I think it's due to the fact that it's out being in the balcony. Even though there’s a hot water knob, no water will come out when you turns the knob. Immediately I called the receptionist, and she sent the security guy up. After demonstration the situation (he doesn’t understand English) and him turning the knobs, he called the receptionist and she informed us that the engineer will come and fix it tomorrow.

Shower was another big disappointment. The water flow was very very very small, and you must let the water runs for about 3 minutes before there’s hot water. My husband shower 1st and in the middle of my shower, the hot water was cut off. I had to bath in cold water. After about 10min, the hot water came back on again, but by then I was already done.

Next day, after breakfast (which was good), we talked to the receptionist and she informed us that the Jacuzzi is suppose to be in that way (no hot water).

After a day out on the beach, thinking that the housekeeping had clean the tub, we were disappointed to found the tub dirtier than before. We called the receptionist and a housekeeper was sent up. After pointing out the dirty parts of the tub (he doesn’t understand English either), he turned on the water and the pump, show me a ‘ok’ hand-sign and left, leaving us to clean the tub on our own. We had to get down on our hands and knees to clean the tub. It’s doesn’t matter if we had clean it once or twice, after a few hours, the tub will be dirty again.

When we were in the Jacuzzi, bugs kept flying around and landing the water. It doesn’t matter if its afternoon or night, the bugs will always be there.
