“What a magnificant Hotel to stay.”
Reviewed August 25, 2009

This is the second time me and my fiance have stayed at the La Flora, there is no hotel that comes second to the La Flora, service was absolutey 5 star service all the way.
Rooms are great and the location was brilliant.. some rooms has access to the pool and some rooms had there own priviate pool, the room we stayed in was called the seaview suite and it had some beautiful and very memorable views of patong beach.

Another thing we both wont forget, is all the lovely staff at the La flora... they were all very professional in everything that they do... they made our stay very enjoyable..Thank you to all the staff you were all fantastic..

My husband, 21 year old daughter and myself stayed at La Flora in a pool access room.(106) Room was great, plenty of room for 3, complimentary mini bar, room serviced twice a day, lovely toiletries supplied. Pool access was good but had trouble getting out of pool. A step was moved immediately for us but we decided to upgrade to Pool Villa Room (305) My idea of heaven. our own pool, with total privacy. Gorgeous room, spa bath, great ammenities and the luxury of a late night swim after 10 hours of shopping.
Breakfast selection had everything you could want and more and the best thing about La Flora was the wonderful staff. Nothing was a trouble, everyone was so friendly from the moment we arrived. We genuinely felt sad to leave such lovely people. La Flora is a small boutique type hotel and does not have luxurious gardens etc. but the beach is at your doorstep.and there are 2 swimming pools. and although you are in the middle of Patong there is no traffic or street noise at all. This is our 4th visit to Phuket and La Flora is certainly th best hotel we have stayed at. Fantastically well located, and the best staff of any hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere.

La Flora resort and spa is the place to stay in Patong Beach, Phuket Thailand.
Location cannot be beaten , right on Patong beach. The resort is quiet , staffed by the happiest and friendliest Thai people that really care about your every need.
Most importantly, La Flora offers a luxurious and safe sanctuary away from all that Patong is...... exciting , confronting , great shopping , insane Bangla Road and night life that must be experienced !
Comforting for those that are nervous travelling alone or with independent older teenagers, that want to do their own thing or first timers visiting this incredible place is the security placed at both beach and street side acknowledging the comings and goings each time with a wave or salute and even stopping the traffic to assist crossing the busy road out the front of the resort. You really felt welcomed back when retuning to La Flora after spending the day out and about and we felt incredibly safe and assured by their attendance.
Five star hotels are generally all of a high standard and provide a similar experience but La Flora provides an experience not to be missed. The wonderful staff are happy , provide the ultimate in care and seem to delight in offering smiling and warm hospitality that can be missing in other resorts. Quite simply the staff make La Flora what it is and nothing is too much trouble. From the general manager that goes to the trouble to ask you over breakfast how your stay is to the front desk staff who after 1 day had learnt our names ( all five of us ) and greeted us happily each time we passed by going out to explore the sights
Do your self a favour book a La Flora stay in a pool access room for an early morning dip directly from your front balcony, stroll down to the beach ( about eight steps from the resort ) for a walk or a swim in the ocean, return to sample the resort's complimentary hot breakfast until 11 am , visit the spa for all things pampering and then think about what you want to do with your day ! Enjoy you wont be disappointed !

This is a very high standard boutique resort hotel centrally located on Patong beach. In chaotic Patong, it is indeed an oasis. The busy street entrance may be wedged between a McDonalds on one side and a Starbucks on the other, but once you are inside the atmosphere rapidly transforms into a high class resort.

The hotel’s service areas: reception, small business centre, ground level restaurant, second floor spa, gym, etc. run along the street front so as to minimise any noise to guest rooms, most of which are organised into two long double storey rows running down to a centrally located section of absolute public beach front in Patong. Between these accommodation wings are the two main swimming pools, which are bigger than they appear in the publicity photos. Along the beachfront itself are the suites, one with two bedrooms and two one bedroom suites. I stayed in one of the latter and it was simply fantastic. The only thing I could hear in my beachfront suite was the waves hitting the shore. Just as in the publicity photos, the suite’s bedroom has a glass wall looking onto a private pool and then through to the beach, although there is a low hedge partially screening the pool and suite from anyone walking along the hotel’s path bordering the beach. It is a good design compromise allowing views of the sea from the suite but also ensuring a level of privacy. Of course there are roman blinds to lower if otherwise needed, e.g. at night. The suite also had a glass wall and doors to a patio facing one of the main pools, and a glass wall to a patio with a spa leading to a the quite large private pool. Apparently there are also non-beach front “pool villas” and “lofts” with their own individual pools, but I did not see them.

There are also beach facing suites at the front on the second level, but they do not have their own private pools. And on the roof of the accommodation buildings at the front is an amazing bar and restaurant with spectacular views of Patong beach and the Andaman sea. I had cocktails while viewing the sunset and then also enjoyed a sumptuous seafood dinner there on one of the nights.

The food at the hotel is quite good. The included buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, with proper espresso coffee, fruit juices freshly squeezed to order, an egg station, egg’s benedict, dim sum, pastries, etc. and if there is something you can’t see on the buffet the ever attentive staff will get it for you a la carte. The attention to design detail is even obvious in the crockery and table furnishings. The restaurant’s host has an amazing memory, recalling your preferences for coffee, etc. And the best thing about the breakfast is that it is served until 11am!

Although the gym is very small with only a few free weights, one limited combination weights machine, a bike, cross trainer and very good treadmill, I managed to keep up with my exercise routine.

The whole feeling of the resort is exclusive and exotic. It is beautifully designed and built to very high standards with various objets d’art scattered around, including some very interesting pieces in my suite. The service is likewise of a consistently high standard. There are helpful smiling staff everywhere. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

There are nice touches in the rooms like a free mini bar (beer and soft drink), free bottled water, free wireless internet, coffee/tea making facilities, copious amounts of fragrant high quality shower gels, shampoo, conditioner, etc. I was able to secure a special price for my suite of 14,000 baht per night all inclusive, which I thought was a bit pricey even though this is definitely a 5 star hotel/resort. Most of the rooms are much cheaper, of course, and would probably suit the majority of people even though the views are limited to a pool and neighbouring rooms rather than the beach. I don’t think children are encouraged nor did I see any during my stay. My impression is that this is an exclusive hotel for adults, and it really targets couples. It is very well located within easy walking distance to nightlife and shops, including the new Jungcelyon shopping and restaurant complex.

By the way, I was quite impressed with Phuket overall. And Patong is not the sleazy tourist pit that I had been led to believe. Because of the nightlife and great beach, I think Patong is the best location compared with say, Kata and Karon, for example. While I was staying in Patong, there was always a breeze blowing in from the sea and this kept the overall temperatures pleasant even though it was the middle of summer.

Having recently been to Koh Samui (Chaweng Beach) and Krabi, I prefer Phuket. By the way. don’t miss the shows at Fantasea and Simon Cabaret while you are in Phuket. The boat trip to Phi Phi island though is overrated, unless you are keen on snorkelling.

This was our fifth trip to Phuket and have stayed in some beautiful resorts, we found La Flora the best boutique hotel yet. The hotel is modern, clean, tidy and centrally located in Patong right on the beach. The food was very good and we cannot speak highly enough of the staff, always smiling and helpful. We stayed in a Pool Access room and we thoroughly recommend it. The hotel offers all facilities including a beautiful surface bar on the roof of the hotel overlooking the beach and the sea, a very romantic setting to sip on cocktails while watching the sun set. Also limousine pick up and drop off from the Airport, which just made it a little more special. We fully recommend this hotel.

We went to La Flora in July (low season) for our wedding. There were 14 other people with us, and everyone had a fantastic time. The setting is marvellous, on the beach. All the staff went out of their way to help us, and they provided an outstanding wedding experience. The food was excellent, and for the wedding reception it was top notch.
The rooms were all very well appointed, and extremely comfortable. The spa had wonderful services and everyone there was extremely nice and helpful. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff or the hotel experience.

We couldnt be happier with this hotel.. the staff are so friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent (fresh squeezed juice, hot pastries, eggs and waffles to order to name a few). Room was very modern and well laid out. Only 2 complaints were there were no where near enough lounges if you didnt have a pool access room, and the seervice at the restaurant other than breakfast was slow. Pools are lovely, location is perfect.. absolute beachfront.
