For a first timer to Phuket, I am not familiar with the exact locations of top spots in Patong. Googled cheap hotels in Patong, and this hotel appeared with a very good price for 3 persons, which is about MYR100 per night. Unfortunately, without knowing earlier, it is actually located a little bit far from the centre of crowds in Patong, about 30 minutes walk, at least to Jungceylon Mall area. If you are plan to go to Bangla Road, it will take about 45 mins by foot from the hotel.

Nevertheless, the hotel is more to a family rent house where the owner and her family take care of the reception. The room is overall good and reasonable with the price we pay. It has excellent wi-fi signal, good bathroom, and the surrounding is a bit quiet and peaceful as this hotel is located at the left end of Patong beach (if you are facing the Patong beach). There are a number of bikes for rent at the hotel, at 200 baht per day. I supposed renting a bike would be the best way to travel in Phuket as the taxi and tuk tuk are quite expensive.

In terms of food, you can easily get local food 5 minutes away. There are also Arab and Indian food all over Patong beach. As for me, I prefer local Halal food which is somewhat far from where I stay. There is one stall in the foodcourt at Jungceylon that serves excellent Halal local food. Another place is Kusuma Restaurant, about 10 mins from Junceylon.

If you are going to Phuket for the first time, please don't be fooled by airport taxi driver that stops at one travel agency office in the middle, luring you to get a return taxi at first and then try to lure you take their tour package I.e phiphi island, james bond island, etc. Their rate is so much more expensive. I fell for this and I hope you guys learnt from my mistakes. I suggest you get your tour package on the street where you stay as there are hundreds of them everywhere on the streets. You just need to bargain as much as you want because those trips are supposed to be cheap.

Just for general guidance, one taxi trip from airport to Patong beach is 650 baht and taxi around Patong beach costs 200 baht

Stayed here for 2 weeks. The price are a little bit high and the hotel pool is about 5 SqM. Otherwise, really really friendly staff. The room was greats and cleaning excellent. The hotel does not have breakfast but if you go 10 min towards the beach you have a couple of restaurant that serve both breakfast and food. It's about 15 min walk from beach and the same to the shops. You can rent a small motorbike from them. When I was their it was about 200 bath per day. It's a great way to see the other beaches and discover Phuket. Patong is around 20 min away from Phuket town.
The hotel have air con, clean water everyday and the twin room I stayed in had Tv, wardrobe, desk, twinbed, air con, bathroom (with shower). The location maybe not the best but I thought It was worth it anyway.
( a little tip is if you want a good deal on the tours it's much cheaper to book a tour "on the street" that a hotel)

Stayed here for more than a week. Every day we had tours so used hotel as a place to sleep only. USD 35 rate looks more than reasonable. Already recommended this hotel to our friends and they are also satisfied. Dont expect either luxury or poorness here. Very good place for such money.

Room Tip: Superior room is not better than deluxe

Room was clean, had good facilities, bottled water every day, tea and coffee making a boon. About 15 min walk to beach with lots to see along the way. Excellent breakfasts and dinners at Cafe One Seven a short stroll away. Take a walk up the hill to find hidden cafes, shops etc and a large evening food and produce market.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Pool didn't look inviting but as it rained most of the time we were there, this wasn't a problem!

I can find nothing good really to say about this, but at least i was only there in the end for one night. Seriously, bad bed, bed bugs, smells, bad service, rude lady at desk looking at me like i was dirt etc. They are to all intents just Thai apartments with a desk etc. Take a look at some of the pictures........look at the pool, are you serious? In fact most of their pictures show as blurred and now i can see why. Avoid this place guys and gals, pay a couple of hundred baht more and you get into a whole new world!
