I stayed at River Curve for 2 nights during early June. The first thing that drew my attention was the price, 350 baht for a fan room in what you can easily determine is a clean and nice looking place. The rooms are actually very nice, a far cry from what I have been used to getting for the same price. The bathroom, bed and living space are all more than ample plus there was a t.v!
When we decided to stay for a second night the boss lady let us have air conditioning for the same price. We definitely felt very spoilt. An early morning coffee or tea with views of the river and valley make for a great way to wake and the main town is only a short walk.

Room tip: Ask for one of the rooms directly overlooking the river, an amazing view to wake up to.

Having stayed at numerous places in Pai, we took a friends recommendation this time for a change. Yes, from our balcony we had wonderful views of the river, with the mountains behind. But apart from that we felt it came up short. Breakfast was basic, coffee or tea & rice soup.
Shower was cold & the bathroom seemed to have a bad smell.
The room was clean & perfectly acceptable. Little things though which would take just a few minutes to sort out let the place down. Wires hanging from the wall, slipshod paintwork etc.
A little money spent on the garden would improve the place alot too.
The owners yappy dogs weren't exactly the best welcome either, nor were they every morning! The place wasn't bad, but could be a whole lot better.
As I said previously, lovely river views, particularly early in the morning as the mist came off the water.

Room tip: Make sure you get a river view. More expensive, but the others seemed very dark.

The "River Curve Resort" is located directly by the river and only walking distance to the center of Pai. The hotel is managed by the owner, a very nice, friendly and helpful couple. They where very attentive and helpful and provided an excellent service to us in every question and request we had. The room was average, well furnished, clean, satellite tv, flat screen and air con. Over all we had a nice stay.

Room tip: "High floor river side are possibly quieter"
