We went here as part of a bicycle tour so the cool off at the end of a long ride made it worth while. I'm not sure I would bother otherwise although the water is incredibly clear.

“Great place! Well worth seeing!”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

I visited the Emerald Pool as part of a day tour from Ao Nang, which also included the Tiger Cave Temple and the Hot Spring. It was a great day out! The Emerald Pool is very beautiful and it's a great place for a swim. Make sure you also do the board walk up past the Emerald Pool to the Blue Pool, it is also very beautiful and worth seeing. Take a hat, sun screen, bathers and a towel.

The pool was beautiful and great to swim however it can be quite slippery. Half day trip to emerald pool and hot spring only gave me 1 hour at emerald pool which was quite short.

This pool was really a beautiful spot, the water is really special and we had a great swim here. be careful if you decide to explore the rocky areas. i did the classic legs in the air and fell hard on my back - felt like a right idiot. but once back in the pools felt so much better

“it was...amazing.”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

firstly, if you have a Siamese friend or anyone who can speak siamese, do bring him/her along. the entrance fee is only 20Baht for thailand citizen and 200Baht for foreigners. Thank God I only paid 20Baht as they say i look like a siamese and didnt ask me anything which would cost me 200Baht if they did. hahha.

You'll need to walk 800 meters from the entrance to the Emerald Pool. We went on weekdays, so it's not that crowded and we could enjoy swimming around the pool as we wish.

As for the blue pool, u'll need to walk up few hundred metres more. No swimming at the blue pool but the view is awesome.
