“A very laid back place to chill.”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

We first stayed here 3 years ago and went back. That in itself should say something.

Don't go if you are looking for luxury with all the trimmings or a beach. That said it's a pretty unique place and if you are looking for stunning scenery and nature, a very laid back place to chill and a slice of something different then this could be the place for you.

It's the nearest resort to the airport, but you never hear a plane. The resort can organise transport so a perfect place to start or end a trip to Krabi.

Mr Son (the resort manager) is really helpful and speaks excellent english, the food is really good.

The fresh water swimming pool was most welcome as we visited in the hot season.

All in all a great place to wind down for a few days.

Room Tip: The higher up you are the better the view but it's more of a walk.

The staff are very good, relaxed and friendly. "home away from home" and so helpfull. The bungalows are simple but fine and they are isolated with a lot of privatelife.. You can enjoy the mountains and rainforest from your balcony ;-)

Peaceful resort only 30 minutes motorcycle ride from Krabi, yet feels like hundreds of km away. The road leading there is dotted with incredible rock formations typical for the Krabi area.
We asked for a single bungalow with the mountain view and got lovely secluded wooden bungalow with a private terrace overlooking the garden and the mountain.

Initially the e-mail exchange with the owner was not smooth, I was getting few words responses for lengthy questions which made me apprehensive. But Son proved me wrong upon our arrival, his English is very good with a hint of English accent, Son was helpful in organizing transportation, providing answers to the questions about the surrounding attractions, showed us a way to the viewpoint on the ridge, advised on when to visit Wat Tham Suea, all with very friendly, honest and welcoming attitude.

All in all we spent 3 nights here visiting Phanom Bencha national park, Watt Tham Suea and hiked to the viewpoint on the ridge overlooking Phanom Bencha Peak. The rest was spent just walking the resort’s garden, picking up the fruits right off the trees, splashing in the natural rock pool. Son organized few times a week jungle hikes, too.
The menu in their restaurant has very good selection and the meals were quite good.

Room Tip: For the views ask for the room higher up the slope, it will have nice mountain views

Just spent a couple of days here. Bungalows very simple and very quiet. Surroundings were stunning. The restaurant served great veggie food (but not open all day) so don't arrive hungry. There is a wonderful natural rock pool at the top of the mountain there is nothing to do here but to read and relax and gaze at the stars. We loved it. Great for 2 or 3 days.

This place is stunning, set in beautiful grounds with a great backdrop from your balcony and a cute little natural pool. The food was top notch and the staff are great. Unfortunately we had to get evacuated as we stayed during the flooding but they tried their best to get us into Krabi Town as soon as they could. I would stay again and would recommend this place who wants a bit of peace after going to the islands! Perfect x

Stayed at this resort for a total of 7 nights (left and came back). The location is superb, the staff so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
You are limited to one restaurant, but ask and they'll make it.
The setting is a valley surrounded by limestone karsts, with a mix of rubber plantation, oil palms, native forest and landscaped gardens, a very nice spring fed pool is also on offer.
Lots of wildlife if you are prepared to look for it. We walked the resort grounds most nights and found an array of critters. The tokay geckos are sooo Thailand!
And relax. Thanks to Son and crew.

You'll pat yourself on the back for finding this place, especially if you find yourself lucky enough to dip in the pool all by yourself on a hot afternoon and stare at the mountain and wonder when the bats will come out of the caves. Pretty magical and nice way to jump off onward to your island(s) adventure.
