My partner and I went kayaking (it's a half day tour offered by tour operators - we paid 400 baht each- original price was 500/each but we managed to negotiate for a lower price). It's really one of a kind of experience! exciting :)

“wonderful kayaking experience!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This was my first time to try kayaking. Before it started, I was quite worried that what if we were unable to complete the trip on our own. But the real experience was quite enjoyable!

We had a sunshine first half trip and a rainy second half trip, so it was quite a complete experience! We visit both the mangrove and bushes, which were felt so different in this one journey~

Above all, quite recommended tour! Enjoy the local Krabi scenery!

“Great for nature lovers”
Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

We took a sunset kayaking session at the mangroves. There was only a total of 4 participants and 1guide so it was a really small group, perfect to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature.

The mangrove was very quiet. We spotted a few groups of monkeys playing near the water. We also kayaked through a cave and near some of the limestone features. We could also enjoy the "music of nature", as the guide puts it. It was a fascinating experience for me, but I suspect it may be a little dull for people who are not so interested in nature.

Also, note that the dinner venue is near the kayaking place, which is about an hour's drive from Ao Nang. So, even if you didnt get the bbq dinner package, you probably have to wait for the other parties to finish their dinner before heading back together, which was what happened to us. The "restaurant" wasn't serving food that night so we had nothing to eat, or do for that one hour we were there during dinner time.

“Nice kayak trip to the mangrove area”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

I took my friend there for kayak trip into the reserved mangrove area. We spent almost 3 hours there. The mangrove was nice shade. The water was still and easy for beginner like us. We saw a group of white eye gibbons. So, lucky we are.

“Good but rather like high tide”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

The kayaking is good, certainly good for beginners, since it is near the coastlines and shallow waters. We had to take a morning trip due to our flight leaving in the afternoon. We were only able to go into the mangroves 1/3 of the way and turn back due to the tides. It was still beautiful, especially along the coastline.
Since we were looking for a relaxing vacation, the kayaking was relaxing like what we were looking for.

Check the tide if you have the option to choose morning or afternoon tours.
