“Lovely, cheap food in a fantastic setting.”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

I ate here on my recent trip to Koh Lanta. I specifically went looking for this restaurant after reading the great reviews from Cathy & Gary (cathyandgarystravelpages.com)

It was easy to find, right in the heart of Saladan on the water. Koh Lanta is very quiet this time of year with many restaurants closed for low season so I was pleased to find it was still open.

I ordered prawns for entree, chicken with cashew nuts for main, rice and had 2 beers - all for 220 baht - incredible value. The food was super delicious and the view over the water amazing.

Service was good - hard not to be I guess as I was the only person in the whole restaurant!

Would definitely recommend this restaurant - particularly for the seafood.

“Cheap bill but good Thai food”
Reviewed April 24, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant was the cheapest we ate at but was one of the best Thai restaurants we ate at in ko lanta in eleven days. Warning though, if it said spicy it was really hot, even though it love chilli, I had to remove a large number of chillies before I could eat my Thai salad. That said all the fish and prawn dishes were top notch, and if you like satay then order the mussaman curry it was sublime. My only negative is that they didn't get the gist of starters a break and then main course, it all came together. I would suggest foxing them by ordering your starters only, then when you have finished ask for the menu back and order your main. Try and get a sea view table and with a large singa beer costing 75 baht you really can't go wrong!

“Really really nice fish!”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Asked a guy selling cocktails on the street in Koh Lanta which place was the best for seafood & he said Saladan.

Went today after laying on the beach all day (to sweat off last nights hangover!) & had Seabass, basil & chilli; soooooooo nice!

Really nice view over the straight where the ferry takes you to the island & you can see the cages below where they keep the Tiger Prawns, can't get much fresher than 2 minutes away!

It cost a MASSIVE £4.32 including big beer & rice! Seabass in Manchester is over £20 & nowhere near this nice!
