I could not come up with one bad thing to say about this tour even if I try. They provided us with excellent kayaking gears and even a wet bag! the wet bags were huge and since our kayak toppled (purely caused by our foolishness-.-) the wet bags were a god sent! While kayaking I looked at the other groups and their gears aren't in good condition whereas ours are new. We even got fresh fruits during one of the stops and the other tourists from other group just looked on with longing. hahaha

This company are very professional, they picked us up from our hotel on time and transferred us to the kayak centre, with a minimum of fuss we were in the kayaks at high tide and spent a wonderful morning gliding through the mangroves through spectacular scenery. The guides Maria and Lho were knowledgeable and spoke good English, Spanish and French. They knew the routes and attractions and made the trip interesting as well as spectacular. Lunch on the beach was tasty with just long enough for a good swim and the elephant ride was relaxing. If you want to have a really good activity day you should use these people.

If you are looking for a cosy, private guided tour on a lazy Krabi beach town, you will find Lho and Maria's company truly awesome. My 2 friends and I were wondering what tour grpmates we would encounter... and at first we thought Maria was a Caucasian fellow traveler. We soon realised that she is one of the 2 organisers, and we 3 friends were on our own private tour. Maria is really friendly, she hopped off our tour pick-up when a coconut ice-cream vendor on scooter wheezed by, and treated us to cones of refreshing coconut. She is very warm and attentive, and her enthusiasm about the charming, quiet Krabi town is truly infectious. She was chatty and attentive and shared her own experiences of coming to Krabi from Spain, falling in love with the place, and staying for years to set up her tour business to live her passion.

The kayak into the sunset among the mangroves was a really relaxing and comforting experience. Lho is an experienced guide and it felt like we were traveling with an attentive friend.

The BBQ dinner was tasty and the camfire-like setting at the beach was memorable. We were pleasantly surprised when we were asked to pen down our wishes on a lantern, release it into the skies, and watch it disappear into the horizon. Apparently, it is the tradition in Krabi. The unexpected ending made it very special.

Maria sat with us at the back of the pick-up on the 30-min ride back, and we had a good time chatting with her and exchanging our stories and laughs.

Such personal tour experiences really made other tours we joined in the next few days pale in comparison. It is definitely not one of those impersonal, cattle-rushing huge tour groups we detested. It is an experience not to be missed if u are in Krabi!

My two friends and I signed up for the Black Moon Kayaking tour. We were picked up around 4pm and driven in a pick-up truck to the destination. Along the way we even had an ice-cream stop and were treated by the generous guides, Lho and Maria, to some delicious handmade coconut ice-cream that was refreshing on a hot February afternoon. At 5 plus, we reached Ao Thalane and was a given a basic paddling lesson before we kayaked out in our 2 seater - kayaks. We were guided to kayak across the bay, along the coastline of a neighbouring island and passed through a canyon into lagoons and more mangroves. It was an amazing experience, getting so close to the caves where the sea gypsies used to bury their dead in the past. Along the way, Lho, the kayaking guide, talked about the bay and history of the sea gypsies. We stopped in a bay where we got off our kayaks for a quick photo shoot. Unfortunately, we didn't see any monkeys that evening but the scenery throughout was already amazing on its own. It was very peaceful; apart from a few local students kayaking on their own, we didn't run into anybody so it felt like we were on our own private tour for most part of our trip. The water was quite shallow so we had to watch out for the tree roots underneath as we kayaked, to avoid getting struck in the mud. There were a couple of tricky corners to navigate but generally it is not a difficult kayak for somebody with reasonable fitness as the waters were quite calm.

The highlight of the tour, or perhaps of my trip even, was to watch the sun set in the distant horizon while floating on our kayaks. With the picturesque islands in the backdrop, the sunset over the ocean was spectacular and breathtaking.

We then kayaked back to the shore where we cleaned up before heading to a nearby beach for our delicious BBQ dinner. It felt like a feast as we were served with fish, chicken skewers, chicken drumlets, prawns, squid and water melon slices. On the shore, Maria took over as the guide; she was really friendly and an excellent host who looked after us very well.

After dinner, we were given the opportunity to experience a local tradition which we wrote our wishes on paper lanterns before lighting them up and releasing them across the sea. That was really fun.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely - the chance to experience nature and gorgeous scenery at our own pace without the peak season crowds. The service was warm and personal, a nice change from the other cookie cutter tours we had been to during our Krabi holiday. The price is comparable to other similar value and considering all the above factors, value for money indeed. A perfect end to a beautiful day in Krabi.

Very well organised trip with minibus pick up from our hotel. We were welcomed at the bay with coffee and water and allocated two man kayaks. We were then guided across the bay to the neighboring island and passed through a canyon into the mangrove forest and lagoons. Fabulous scenery and a great experience. Very good value and excellent service. A great days trip.
