Amazing and beautiful wild and quiet place in Krabi! I was so happy to be there!
I had swimming at the night time there and water was so SHINING! So many lights around me in the water! And so many stars at the night sky! It was amazing! I will never forget that!
Friendly, kind and gentle staff and so good prices. Thanks to Rob and Tan.
Now I'm in China. But I'll be back!! ;-)

A great place to relax and do nothing but mooch around, take in the views, swim, walk, eat and drink. We only stayed 2 nights but would definately go back again. Rob was brilliant - loved his blunt but helpful approach and the food was fantastic (particularly the massaman curry). We didnt even move away from the resort even though there are bars and restaurants only 10 mins away. The lack of noise was perfect.Amazed to hear a review saying they were dissapointed they had to pay 50 Bhat to get over to J2B from the mainland - I loved the crossing, it made us feel we had our own private island and didnt exactly break the bank. The place is basic and rustic but who needs a flash bungalow when the location is so perfect,

Access via a longtail boat from Nopparatthara pier or take a taxi - you will need to walk the last hundred metres or so along the beach as the road doesn't go right to the guesthouse. This should already tell you that J2B is not going to be particularly lively, and you're not going to have the a/c or hot water you might find in other places closer to a main road...
The bungalows were not that great, and were a bit overpriced in my opinion. But the location is lovely - a pretty beach, horizon dotted with limestone islands, and fairly convenient for Ao Nang if you like to be near to the tourist scene, and you're ok jumping in and out of longtail boats!
What stood out the most was the food; it was consistently good, and was probably the best food we had in 3 weeks in Thailand. It was by no means fast food - it was freshly made to order - but we weren't in any rush.
The sea water was not very clear - but at night we swam in the phosphorescence!! If you like sparkly clear water you need to go considerably further from this part of the mainland...

We recently booked in to J2B and paid for 2 bungalows and 4 nights. When we arrived, we were quite shocked to find out that we had to pay for a ferry accross the river that only operates until 18:30 every day. We were so exhausted after the whole day of travelling and only wanted to relax. We were taken to our bungalows and as we entered, there were still sand and dirt from the previous guests and the rooms were not at all as the pictures indicated. we had a dirty, moulded roof and stained bedding. We were tired and just decided to throwour towels on the bed and sleep on that.

The next morning as we left our hut to cross the river once again to get in to townand my husand almost stepped on a snake. As we got to the restaurant area, the only person that was there to help, could not understand what we were trying to explain. we missed the 18:30 boat and had to catch a taxi that charged us 500 baht to get back to the resort and we had to be dropped off a kilometer from the resort and had to walk along the beach in the dark. A lady from another resort were friendly enough to pic us up in her truch and take us as close as she could.

The rooms were still dirty when we arrived and we complained and the owner simply told us we expect too much for budget accommodation (1100 baht per night) and that they only clean when we leave. when we told them about the snake he simply said - yeah you better stay away from those as they are dangerous. we left the next day - not getting a refund for the two nights (4400 baht for the two bungalows) and we foung accommodation right in the centre of Ao Nang - for 450 baht a night, including room service and fresh bedding and towels every day. for themoney that you pay at J2B- you can get private beautiful and friendly service anywhere else in AO Nang.

Room Tip: The resort next to J2B is a better choice

J2B Bungalows is a fantastic place to stay if you would like a peaceful, chilled stay in beautiful surroundings at a great price. The bungalows are quite basic but supply all that you need. However there is no need spend time inside as the beach is simply fantastic! When we stayed, we spent all our time in the sea, on the beach and watching the sunsets. There are some great little islands that you can walk out to and snorkel sound. Along one end of the beach are mangroves and the other is a small delta which can be crossed by boat to get across. The restaurant is great and you can ask the chief to teach you how to make the dishes. I will definately be staying again at J2B, Rob and Tam have done a great job and are warm and friendly hosts who cater to all you needs and create a really great atmosphere. Many thanks guys!

Room Tip: There are some huts closer to the beach, if you can ask J2B to get one of these for a great view!
