I stayed 4 nights in this very nice and comfortable hotel. Intended to stay only 2 nights in Khon Kaen, but the peaceful city fibes made me stay longer. The hotel has very nice, clean rooms, at very acceptable rates. In fact it was the best room I had in 4 weeks Thailand. Staff is friendly although not everybody speaks English. Food in the restaurant is oke but not too special. The karaoke is fun to watch and listen to for a while.

The Chiapat was a very friendly & comfortable place where I stayed a few days (after my first night at a cheap, bare-bones & uncomfortable hostel)... It was very well located, and after my daytime walking excursions, I could easily find my way back by simply following the west sidewalk of Na Muang (a main street) until I reached a large curb across the sidewalk (then turned left). The Chiapat is just one block West of the AC bus terminal and a couple blocks North of the downtown markets and other action... All the people that I met there were very friendly (Truly the "Land of the Smile"). The friends that I was meeting found me very easily there also, making my stay there Very, very Pleasant indeed. Overall a wonderful experience in a very nice city!! (much cozier than Bangkok)
