The whole place is open air, but it's worth it to sit all the way outside, by the plumeria trees and with a view of the water. Gorgeous.
Apple has some of the best English I have encountered in Thailand, and it is definitely worthwhile to engage her in a conversation. She is passionate about the food, and will give you recommendations for how it is best served (level of spiciness the dish can accomodate without losing character and balance of other tastes...)
Ask for Apple's input, tell her what you like, and she will recommend things off the menu and then explain why you would like them. TRUST her. she isn't pushy about it, but it's worthwhile.
Try the blue pea tea (one of the versions at least, I think we had the one with honey). It is unique and delicious.
The coconut ice cream is incredibly refreshing- and is true Thai ice cream, meaning no cream- just coconut milk and coconut meat frozen and blended. so good.
Random: They can bring out a candle/smokey coil to repel bugs if you ask- otherwise, as it is night in thailand, wear repellent.
