“Peace of heaven”
Reviewed May 14, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We are family of 9 people, 8 adults and one 11 year old kid. We came to Kanchanaburi after we stayed a week in koh samui. It was very different- it's very peaceful and quite with beautiful nature but there are less pubs and night life.
The villa is perfect for family or group of friends. It looks just like the pictures, and I felt like I'm on my honeymoon only with my all family. It is five minute walk from the city center and the bridge, but don't expect a big city center like koh samui. It is much more like a village in nature.
Add the owner is super nice !!!! She helped us with everything we wanted ,she always asked us what we need , she arranged us a van with a driver that took us to Erwan waterfalls and the safari, she even told us where we can eat and go out at night , and her staff arrange breakfast and food for my grandma that couldn't go with us to travel .... So it was the perfect place for our vacation with great pool and view and Add the owner just made everything even better and made us feel we are in a 5 stars hotel thank you very much for everything next time I will come with friends !!!!

“Exactly what we were looking for!”
Reviewed April 13, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We originally planned to stay in Chiang Mai but when we found out March/April isn't a good time in that area due to smoke and smog from burn offs, we were scrambling to find another destination for wildlife/culture for our extended family group of 11. For us, this may have been an even better choice than Chiang Mai.

We struggled to find nice private accommodation with at least 6 bedrooms outside of the most popular tourist destinations (Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, etc) so when I finally found this, it looked too good to be true, especially at the sharp rate they offered us to book the entire property. It was even better than I expected.

Rooms were a comfortable size and more stylish than I expected and the private pool was the perfect temperature. The kids spent most of their time in there from the moment they woke up to just before bed. We thought we might miss having an air conditioned lounge/living room to hang out together but we really enjoyed the seating area overlooking the river with plenty of shad. It was stinking hot but when you got too hot, you could just jump in the pool again, heaven.

They were very responsive before I booked, patiently answering the group's questions, but less responsive upon arrival. They had promised us breakfast but when we turned up to arrange the details, we were told the staff member who does breakfast was away.

We were left scrambling to find breakfast on our first morning as the town doesn't really open until 9am and were were getting picked up for our tour at Elephants World at 9:30. Our hostess told us to go to the U Inchantree resort next door, conveniently accessed by a wooden walkway, but they were fully booked that morning and we were turned away. We made a reservation for the following 3 mornings - resort prices but good food. We also ended up over there getting help for tour bookings and massages since communication with our hostess was a bit sporadic.

The onsite caretaker is a very sweet older gentleman who doesn't speak English but with a bit of charades, he arranged for laundry services and managed to buy us a huge bag of bananas for the elephants.

After much back and forth about arranging transportation, we found we didn't really need it. The little town is within pretty easy walking distance (markets, basic restaurants, etc) and the resort next door handled booking a zipline tour with a minivan and driver and had a spa room with great Thai massage (an hour is not enough, trust me) - they just insisted on cash for everything (besides the restaurant bill) since we weren't hotel guests.

The views out over the river and the famous River Kwai bridge are amazing - especially during a lightning storm one night. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it.

May not suit if travelling with younger kids as the pool isn't fenced and there's a steep drop off down to the river from the deck that's also not fenced. Our older kids (ages 8+) can swim and knew to be careful so it was fine.

“LOVED IT!”
Reviewed December 10, 2015 for a stay in December 2015

Great location, with amazing views of the River Kwai and the bridge. Five minute walk into the town. Rooms were clean and decorated nicely. Big spacious shower. Great pool. No kitchen or indoor common area, but plenty of great outdoor seating (including hammocks), the villa has a breakfast option, and you can just walk to a nearby restaurant for other meals. Owner was super helpful organising activities for us, even though she was away at the time. Her staff were very nice and friendly. If I return with a group, I would for sure love to stay again.

“Absolutely fantastic location and soooooo serene”
Reviewed August 13, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We LOVED this place. Perfect location on absolute river front. Like staying in a private resort. Our room was perfect, bathroom sensational, views to die for. - we felt like we were on our honeymoon. Cannot recommend enough.
Only negative was the name of the property which we booked on airbnb was different to the actual name of the property so we had a few problems finding it. But it was so special that we quickly forgot our initial concerns.

“Chill place ever!”
Reviewed August 1, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This is the best place in Kanchanaburi town...great place to hang out with family and friends with some great climate and scenic beauty all around this place.. is 5 mins. walk to River Kwai bridge, about 5 mins. drive to a dozens of restaurants, general stores and everything.. Best part is clean and tidy room with the private pool, sounds of little birds and frogs when you sit by the river you have this add on...
I guarantee you wont regret stay in here...Enjoy!
